Currently various techniques for efficiently developing sensor network applications are developed. However, these techniques provide the method for developing only single sensor network application easily and rapidly. Since sensor network applications control various sensor nodes based on core components of operating system, the technique to develop applications by defining common functionalities of various applications and selecting variable functionalities according to the work flow of specific application is efficient. Accordingly, this paper presents an experimental study that identifies commonality of sensor network application domain and supports optional development according to the variability of application by applying product line approach to developing sensor network application. Through the experimental study, we describe the characteristics of sensor network application domain compared with general business domain for product line development. Also, we show the effectiveness of the proposed approach by presenting that core assets designed using the proposed variability feature model and VEADL are reused according to the functionalities of each sensor node.

An efficient management of product information is critical to the enhancement of corporate competitiveness. Product information is often distributed in term of organization, geography, and time. With the rapid increase in the use of Internet or its associated Web and intranets, it has been accelerating to integrate the distributed information. In this research, a Distributed, Open, Intelligent Product data Management system, namely DOI-PDM, is developed. This system deals with product information following the STEP standard, and its operation is controlled by a Web-based workflow management system. CORBA is employed to ensure interoperability among distributed objects. It is intended to achieve openness by using various standards, such s STEP, KQML, SGML, and WfMC specifications. One major difficulty in managing it needs also be properly modified according to the dynamics. It however is very hard to have a prior anticipation to the dynamics. It however is very hard to have a prior anticipation to the modification requirements in practice. We introduce a process adaptation model and a use of intelligent agent technology. An agent is delegated to modify process definitions during run-time. A method of agent implementation and a proper communication scheme among te agents are proposed. Also developed in this research is a STEP-based content search system which can co-work with the agents by providing relevant product information that the agents require.
Abies nephrolepis(Pinaceae) extracts were tested for determined immune system regulating activity based on antiinflammatory activity, antioxidant activity and anti-proliferative effect on HeLa cell line. The A. nephrolepis extracts increased dose-dependently anti-proliferation of HeLa cell line. The DM fraction of the extracts having anti-proliferatative effects of HeLa cell line was fractionalized four subfractions($D1{\sim}D4$). Inflammation-induced NO production was inhibited by D2 and D4 in LPS-activated RAW264.7 macrophages. And also, this fractions showed antioxidant activity examined by DPPH radical scavenging effects. These results suggest that the potential use of DM fraction of A. nephrolepis in chemoprevention and regulation overproduction of NO on pathogenic conditions. The mechanism of the inflammatory effects, however, must be evaluated through various parameters in the induction cascade of NO production.

Recently, with the expansion of the use of cross media, the public is not just watching the broadcast, but is also consuming various information about actor, stories, products, etc. that appears during the broadcast. However, the devices used for viewing and the devices used for searching are different, which is inconveniences, and due to the differences between the point in time when the desired information is provided through the search, the public has difficulty in obtaining detailed information of the target product after encountering product placement advertisement. In addition, it is difficult for advertisers to confirm the effect of product placement advertising through the reaction of viewers who have encountered product placement advertising. In this paper, we intend to propose an interactive streaming platform that supports the instant retrieval of product information to users by including product placement advertisement information in broadcasting. Through this, viewers can quickly receive detailed information of products on the screen by giving an event when a product of interest comes out while watching the broadcast, and advertisers can check the effectiveness of product placement advertisements by receiving interactive responses from viewers.
Nutritive values of green and black tea by-products and anti-nutritive activity of their tannins were evaluated in an in vitro rumen fermentation using various molecular weights of polyethylene glycols (PEG), polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and polyvinyl polypyrrolidone as tannin-binding agents. Significant improvement in gas production by addition of PEG4000, 6000 and 20000 and PVP was observed only from black tea by-product, but not from green tea by-product. All tannin binding agents increased $NH_3$-N concentration from both green and black tea by-products in the fermentation medium, and the PEG6000 and 20000 showed relatively higher improvement in the $NH_3$-N concentration. The PEG6000 and 20000 also improved in vitro organic matter digestibility and metabolizable energy contents of both tea by-products. It was concluded that high molecular PEG would be suitable to assess the suppressive activity of tannins in tea by-products by in vitro fermentation. Higher responses to gas production and $NH_3$-N concentration from black tea by-product than green tea by-product due to PEG indicate that tannins in black tea by-product could suppress rumen fermentation more strongly than that in green tea by-product.

The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of three formulations; product A (polyethylene glycol was used as a main dispersing agent), product B (wax mixture was used as a main dispersing agent) and product C(silicon dioxide was used as a main dispersing agent) on bioavailability of acetaminophen soft gelatin capsules(softgels) and to develop an effective acetaminophen softgel which exhibits an excellent bioavailability. Acetaminophen softgels of various formulations were prepared as 4 minim round type by rotary die method. Four softgels of the three formulation (A, B, C), each of which contained 50 mg acetaminophen, were administered orally to 12 normal healthy rabbits using a three-way cross over design. Plasma acetaminophen concentrations were measured by HPLC. The results obtained in this study were as follows: 1. The Tmax rank order of acetaminophen softgel was C$(63.75{\pm}10.62\;min)$>A$(36.25{\pm}5.37\;min)$>B$(35{\pm}6.74\;min)$. 2. The decreasing Cmax order of softgel product was A$(93.51{\pm}0.55\;{\mu}g/ml)$>B$(3.16{\pm}0.37\;{\mu}g/ml)$>C$(2.6{\pm}0.55\;{\mu}g/ml)$. 3. The $[AUC]^{\infty}_0$ rank order for three acetaminophen softgel formulations was A $(14.89{\pm}1.56\;{\mu}g/ml{\cdot}min)$ >B$(14.39{\pm}1.43\;{\mu}g/ml{\cdot}min)$>C$(11.45{\pm}1.49\;{\mu}g/ml{\cdot}min)$. 4. Pharmacokinetic parameters such as Tmax, Cmax and $[AUC]^{\infty}_0$ of product A and B did not differ significantly(p>0.05). On the other hand, those of product C were significantly different(p>0.05).

In the assembly system, a pallet plays an important role of transfer and storage. As products become various, many different pallets are also necessary. Since some of them are redundant, a design of pallet with high flexibility is important. This paper suggests design alternatives, in designing pallets with high flexibility. The purpose of this study is to rationalize assembly process of mid-small size products. Every pallet has suitability values depending on characteristic factors of a product, and this value is determined by using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) technique. As the characteristic factors of a product are changed, the suitability value is also changed. Design alternatives can be found by tracing change of the suitability value, which are based on correlation between the characteristic factors of a product and a pallet element.
This study aims at providing comprehensive data which would be helpful to establish a web shopping mall by analyzing the structure of web fashion star shops which have recently emerged as a result of advances in digital technology and communication. For the purpose of analyzing VMD strategy used in web fashion star shop, we adopt both of the documental and empirical research methods, based on which we examine the concept of E-commerce and current business situation of web fashion star shop industry, and then analyze the main page, product category page and product detail page in a star shop featured by a male pop star within a web shopping mall. According to our analysis of the structure of web fashion star shop, in case of open market, a banner with star's image on it leads to star shop when people click on the link of the banner, and in case of independent mall, they show each star's unique style in the main page. Product category page is linked to each product detail page which presents items of various fashion coordinates, satisfying needs of consumers to follow star's trendy fashion sense.
This paper addresses the product shape modification for spring-back reduction in the sheet metal forming process of the cabin sunroof which is applied to the construction equipment. Initially, the anisotropic material properties are measured in order to calculate the degree of spring-back by the numerical simulation of the sheet metal forming process. To reduce the spring-back of the stamped part, several design modifications are suggested according to the geometrical bead arrangement on the planar region. The degrees of spring-back are confirmed for various product designs with different use of the geometrical bead. Finally, the spring-back improvement was validated by manufacturing the tryout product with the modified die set for the optimized product shape.
An accident from machine work is often fatal to the worker. This accident is mostly preventable through perfect process jig. In case of this machine work, however, the disaster frequently occurred because of the design which is not considered the beginning of product design, post-process and mass process of production. As for sand casting method, this has the merits of the production; the product is easily produced by manual labor. On the other hand, this method has the demerits of a bigger dimensional error contrary to other mass process of production. When the sand casting product is in machine work, there are various problems such as unsafe fix and excessive cutting, product desorption and rapid life depreciation of equipment and tools. Considering the characteristics of sand casting method, it is accepted as difficulty to improve the problems. In this study, it suggests shell mold method for mold instead of the machine work after the sand casting of the circle shape container product. And the surface accomplishes the following average of surface roughness Ra$9.94{\mu}m$ of machine work with the casting of flask mold by shell mold method. In accordance with the simplification of processing process and reducing the average thickness variation by mass production of product with detailed appearance, it has a good influence on safety accident prevention caused by production and damaged product. It is confirmed that making higher degree of size precision of all machine work product is possible to increase the safety and productivity, reduce the processing process and improve environment.
