A multiplex RT-PCR (mRT-PCR) assay was developed for the detection of the recently reported viruses, Cherry virus A (CVA), Little cherry virus 1 (LChV-1), and Little cherry virus 2 (LChV-2), in cherry plants in Korea. Eight sets of primers were designed for each virus and their specificity was tested by using various combinations of mixed primer sets. From the designed primer sets, one combination was selected and further evaluated to estimate the optimum temperature and detection limits of the mRT-PCR. A newly developed mRT-PCR assay was also tested using 20 cherry samples collected in the field. This mRT-PCR assay may be a useful tool for field surveys of diseases and the rapid detection of these three viruses in cherry plants.

본 시험은 이탈리안 라이그라스 내한 중생 신품종을 육성하기 위하여 1999년부터 2006년까지 축산과학원 조사료자원과에서 수행되었다. 이탈리안 라이그라스 신품종 '코윈마스터'는 2배체 품종으로서 엽의 색은 담녹이며, 월동전 초형은 중간형, 봄의 초형은 반직립형이다. 코윈마스터는 5월 13일경에 출수하는 중생 품종이었다. 특히, 신품종 코윈마스터는 Florida 80 품종과 지엽의 폭은 비슷하나 지엽의 길이가 3 cm 정도 길며, 초장은 89 cm로 Florida 80 보다 6 cm 길었다. 줄기의 두께는 Florida 80과 같이 중간이었다. 코윈마스터의 내한성은 Florida 80 보다 월등히 강한 품종이었다. 코윈마스터의 건물수량은 9.521 kg/ha로서 Florida 80 보다 2% 많았다. 코윈마스터의 사료가치는 조단백질 함량이 12.1%, in vitro 소화율이 70.9%, ADF가 32.9%로 Florida 80과 비슷하였고, NDF는 56.0%로서 Florida 80 보다 1% 낮았다. 이상의 결과, 신품종 코윈마스터는 겨울이 추운 중부 북부지역에서 재배안정성이 높은 내한 중생 품종으로 사료된다.

This study was conducted to investigate the possible use of Mulberry leaf as a functional supplement for Mulberry leaves. Chemical characteristics of mulberry leaf were investigated in eleven mulberry varieties, including Suwon, Chongil, Gumseol, Sugae, Yongchun, Hongol, Daeryk, Kaerang, Donae, Chungol and Kuksang20 varieties. The chemical compositions of minerals, amino acids, rutin as flavonol glucoside were analyzed by AOAC methods, HPLC method, amino acid analyzer, respectively. The results are as follows: In case of KukSang Mulberry leaf with spring harvest, the content of general components was crude protein 16.28%, carbohydrate 69.12%, crude fiber 9.15%, crude ash 8.44% and crude fat 2.57% respectively. It is noteworthy that ferrious content of KukSang mulberry leaves contains twice as great as that in other variety of mulberry leaves. The content of alanine was the highest among amino acids in all variety mulberry leaf. Spring leaf contain more utin content than fall leaf, among the variety, spring HongAll leaf rutin contain 260mg/100g as higher than that of fall ChungAll leaf 70mg/100g).

This experiment was conducted to breed a very early maturing variety of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) in Grassland and Forage Crops Division, National Institute of Animal Science, RDA, Cheonan 2015-2017. The new variety of Italian ryegrass, 'Green call 2ho' is a diploid variety with green in leaf color and has semi-erect growth habit in late autumn and erect growth habit in early spring, 'Green call 2ho' was in heading date as a early-maturing variety April 24. Also 'Green call 2ho' was narrower by 2 mm in flag leaf width, longer by 2.5 cm in flag leaf length and shorter by 3 cm in plant height than those of the control variety, 'Florida 80', respectively. 'Green call 2ho' was also thicker by 0.33 mm in stem thickness and strong in winter hardness. Dry matter (DM) yield (11,688 kg/ha) of 'Green call 2ho' was 7% higher than that of 'Florida 80'. Total digestible nutrient (TDN), crude protein (CP) and relative feed value (RFV) of 'Green call 2ho' were 61.3 %, 9.8 % and 98.2, respectively which are 2.6, 0.6, and 8.4 % higher, respectively than those of 'Florida 80', respectively. Acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) of 'Green call 2ho' were 34.9 and 58.5 % which are 3.3 and 2.7 % lower than those of 'Florida 80', respectively.

This study investigated differences in play types of preschool children with disabilities both in mainstreamed and segregated classrooms. The play behaviors of 50 preschool children with disabilities were observed and videotaped during free play time. Differences were found in children's dramatic and group play. Conclusions were that mainstreamed preschool program emphasizing a play-based curriculum could be an effective model for children with disabilities by providing for a variety of play types. Implications for mainstreaming education and for teacher education were discussed.

Cerarmide acts as a lipid second messenger in the cellular signal transduction and is involved in mediating a variety of cell functions such as proliferation, differentiation, growth arrest, and apoptosis. In the present study, we have investigated the effect of ceramide on cellular cytotoxity and reactive oxygen species (ROS) to understand the relationship between them. Ceramide treatment significantly increased cell death in RAW 264.7 murine macrophages activated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interferon-g (IFN-g). (omitted)

Recently, many researchers have studied silk sericin because of its high water retention, good wound healing, good cyto-compatibility, and blood-glucose- and cholesterol-lowering effects. Although sericin film can be used in wound dressing and cosmetic packs, its poor mechanical properties have prevented its use in industrial fields. In the present study, sericin was obtained from different silkworm varieties, and the effect of silkworm variety on the structure and properties of sericin was examined. Except for a small difference in serine content, no significant difference in sericin was noted among the silkworm varieties. In addition, silkworm variety almost had no effect on solution viscosity, implying that it does not influence the molecular weight of sericin. Mechanical properties of sericin film were strongly affected by silkworm variety. Wonwon 126 showed the best mechanical properties, while N74 and Geumgwangju displayed the worst properties.

마 재배에 있어서 트랜쳐를 이용한 심경재배 효과와 트렌치 깊이에 따른괴경의 형태적 특성 및 수량성의 변화를 자주식 보행형 트렌쳐인 "NF-827H"를 공시하여 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 트렌처를 이용한 심경으로 마를 재배하면 관행 경운에 비하여 괴경의 크기가 커지면서 모양이 좋아지고 상품성이 높은 괴경의 수량이 크게 증가되었다 트렌치에 의한 심경재배 효과는 단마보다 장마에서 크게 나타났으며, 괴경의 크기와 모양 및 수량성을 고려할 때 단마는 60cm 이상, 장마는 80cm 이상으로 트렌치하는 것이 좋다.

전국에서 1977년부터 1985년까지 수집된 생태형 오차드그라스 몇 계통들 중에서 생육특성 및 내재해성이 우수한 5계통을 집단 교배하여 생산된 합성종자를 2001년부터 2002년까지 수원에서 생산력 검정시험이 수행되었고, 2003년부터 2005년까지 3년동안 지역적응성 시험으로 수원, 평창, 영주, 익산 및 제주를 포함한 5개 지역에서 생육특성 및 수량성을 조사하여 2005년 직무육성 신품종 선정심의회에서 생육특성과 수량성이 우수한 합성계통을 신품종 "코디투"로 명명하였는데 코디투의 주요 특성은 다음과 같다. 오차드그라스 신품종 "코디투"는 월동전 및 봄의 초형은 중간형이며, 엽의 색은 농녹색이고, 출수기에 지엽의 길이가 16 cm로 길며, 상부절간장의 길이도 짧고 풍엽성이 양호하였다. 출수기는 5월 14일로 표준품종 Ambassador가 5월 10일로 4일정도 늦었으며, 출수기에 초장은 72 cm로서 Ambassador와 비슷하였다. 또한 내한성과 도복에서는 코디투가 Ambassador에 비하여 강하고 재생력은 코디투가 Ambassador에 비하여 우수하였고, 엽부병 및 녹병은 코디투가 Ambassador와 같이 강한 편 이었다. "코디투"의 ha 당 생초수량은 52.9ton으로 Ambassador 보다 13% 많았으며, 또한 건물수량 역시 11.3 ton으로 Ambassador 보다 10% 많았고, 수원, 평창, 영주, 익산, 제주 등 모든 지역에서 증수되었다. 코디투의 사료가치는 Ambas- sador와 비슷하였고, 이와 같은 결과를 요약하면 코디투는 한해나 도복에 강한 중생종 계통으로 특히 내병성이 강한 청예나 건물적인 측면에서 다수성 품종으로 초지 조사료 생산을 위한 예취용으로 적합한 품종이라 할 수 있다.
