  • This paper studies the rational approximation of multiple input delay systems using the Hankel singular values and vectors, which are the soultion of a transcendental equation. Rational approximatants are obtained from output normal realizations which are constructed by the Hankel singular values and vectors. Consequently, it is shown that rational approximants by output normal realization preserve intrinsic properties of time delay systems than Pade approximants.

  • In this paper, we consider the rational approximation of multiple input delay systems. The method of computing Hankel singular values and vectors is firstly introduced, where explicitly shows the structure of the corresponding Hankel singular vectors. Secondly, rational approximants are obtained from output nor- mal relizations, which are constructed by Hankel singular values and vectors. As a result, it is shown that rational approximants by output normal realization preserve intrinsic properties of time delay systems than Pad'e approximants.

  • Purpose - Recently, creating shared value (CSV) has attracted attention through plan sustainability and the growth of corporate management. Porter and Kramer (2011) defined the core concept of CSV as social value, economic profits, improvements in the economic social condition, and reinforcing competitiveness. The purpose of CSV, which is to pursue economic profits through a social solution to the problem, agrees with managing the objective of a social enterprise that prioritizes the pursuit of profits through the realization of a social purpose. Today, CSV studies focus on CSR and sustainability and reinforce competitiveness. However, few studies focused on the social economy. Precedent studies examined CSV using a company example, and few studies exist from the perspective of consumers and the point of view of a market society. Research design, data, and methodology - Therefore, this study examines CSV in comparison to a background of the social economy. This study also investigates and analyzes the concept of social value from the point of view of consumers, social problems, consumption value, corporate value, and the influence of consumers. This article develops three hypotheses. Hypothesis 1 investigates the correlation with social innovation that consumers thought as being necessary for social innovation by a company. Hypothesis 2 is used to confirm the influence of consumers in CSV. Therefore, this article investigates the influence of consumers on consumption action for companies that are indifferent to social problems. Hypothesis 3 is used to verify the correlation between the value that consumers demand through consumption and the corporate value that companies pursue other than profits. The three hypotheses were adopted and met the standard for suitability. Results - The importance of the CSV study from the consumer perspective was confirmed using the influence of consumers on CSV. Because the objective of company activities is either the consumer or the market, the influence that extends to interactions between the company and consumers to ensure the success of a business is significant. Regarding the CSV study, because it was an initial study, various approaches are subsequently developed. However, conceptual and practical case studies on CSV currently exist that may be used to verify the factors that comprise CSV. Therefore, the company example may enable verification of the factors that influence the composition of CSV through identification from the consumer perspective. In addition, studying CSV as an action result (of consumer satisfaction, of a company's profits and competitiveness, and of society's cancellation of a social problem) may enable the realization of a practice paradigm as opposed to simply thought and faith. Conclusions - First, this study confirms the social value of a business through the feasible and common pursuit of consumers by corporations. Second, customer influence accounts for an important part of CSV. Third, shared value commonly provides a necessary advantage to consumers, corporates, and society, and contributes to the economy and healthy social development. Fourth, corporates can conduct a business, generate profits, and realize value through improvements in social problems and by addressing their competitive strengths and weaknesses.

The subjects were 58 public health nutritionists who responded to the questionnaire distributed at the annual retraining program in 1998. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) 46.5% of the nutritionists were 26-30 years old, 62.1% were 4 year university graduates 74.1% were food and nutrition majors and 51.7% were daily workers. 2) Among the public health center-related manpower, the recognition about nutrition services was the highest for the manager of family health section, followed by the head of public health centers, and then the general nurse in public health centers. 3) The ranking of the reasons for job satisfaction of the public health nutritionists was, relationship with colleagues(3.84), inhabitants response after nutrition counselling(3.53), specialized value realization/conviction about duty(3.35), contents of the work(3.10), value achievement(3.08), self achievement/development(3.00), self discretion(2.92), participation in policy decisions(2.90), work load(2.75), chance of retraining and acquisition of new information(2.73), working environment(2.69), supervisio $n^port by superiors(2.67), salary(2.38), supply of necessary education material, technique(2.37), and budget security(2.22). 4) The satisfaction of the inhabitant's responses after nutrition counseling was the highest among the 4 year university graduates(p<0.05), the satisfaction of the specialized value realization/conviction about duty was the highest among the nutritionists 26-30 years old(p<0.05). Food and nutrition majors(p<0.05) and those having worked less than 3-5years at public health centers also showed much satisfaction(p<0.05). Satisfaction with the salary was the lowest among the food and nutrition majors(p<0.01) and daily workers(p<0.001). The satisfaction with the participation in policy decisions was the lowest among the daily workers(p<0.01). 5) The ranking for the level of self-assessment were, nutrition and dietetic practice(2.92), communication(2.80), management(2.77), public health science and practice(2.66)(p<0.01). The general characteristics such as the level of education, major, employment condition, current public health center's tenure, and charge experience of the nutrition guidance work were not significantly related to self-assessment except the management part(p<0.05). The higher the satisfaction of specialized value realization/conviction about the duty, the better the total score on the self-assessment(p<0.05)..

  • The importance of intangible assets have increased unprecedentedly with the advent of the knowledge-based society. Investment in R&D has contributed to the rise of productivity and firm-value in the capital markets. but it is very difficult to determine the economic benefits of R&D investment, due to elusive link between time requirements and the realization of firm value from R&D investment. This study examines the differential effects of R&D expenditure and patents on firm-value by industry. Patents are intangible, proprietary rights that develops new products, plays a crucial role in market competition and results in research and development activities. If firms get patents, their R&D expenditure is assumed to be successful. The study analyzes whether successful R&D expenditure has a significant effect on the firm-value. The study considers two industries : high-tech industries and low-tech industries. These industries are expected to have different effect on R&D expenditure and firm-vale. The results of the study indicate that the successful R&D expenditure increased the firm-value. Successful R&D expenditure in high-tech industries more increased the firm-value more than that in low-tech industries.

  • The purpose of power system design is, in a word, to provide a good quality of electric power. The design of reliable industrial and commercial power distribution system is important because of the high costs associated with power outage. Three major factors for realization of the purpose are: (1) To hold system frequency at or very close to a specified nominal value(e.g. 60Hz) by control of frequency-effective power. (2) To maintain the correct value of interchange power between power and local generators. (3) To hold system voltage at or very close to a specified nominal value by control of voltage-reactive power. Within the past decade, numbers of industrial and commercial facilities installed with local generation, large motors or both, are increasing. This means that system stability is of concern to a growing number of industrial plant electrical engineers and consultants.

  • In general, spatial filtering method was proposed to simplify measurement system through parallel Processing hardware. Spatial filtering is a method of detection that we can get a spatial pattern information, as we process a special space pattern, to say, as we process spatial parallel process by using the spatial weighting function. The important processing characteristics will be depended in according to how ire design a spatial weighting function, a spatial sensitive distribution. The form of the weighting function which is realized from the generally used spatial filtering is fixed and the weighting value was already became a binary-value. In this paper, we propose a new method in order to construct adaptive measurement systems. This method is a weighting function design to make multi-valued and variable.
