This thesis is designed to take a close look into the characteristics of architectural space through the standard of beauty, which has been created apart from our desires at certain cultural or historical periods of time. It will try to construct the outline of conception about the beauty throughout many centuries. First of all, contents of the research will focus on the aspects, which people have been considering as beauty eversince the ancient time without having any assumptions on its concept. For example, if the beauty of art has been accepted by the theories of modern aesthetics while degrading the beauty of nature, its value could have possibly been much more appreciated. The standard of beauty has been going through the process of change in such history of mankind. The general standard of beauty, which was established in the ancient time was the proportion and harmony between many elements. Afterwards, beauty was expressed as colors and light in medieval times. Expression of beauty using ugly features such as monsters or demons also existed at the time. Beauty has been periodically developing from supernatural to gracious, rational, noble, romantic, religious, mechanical, and today's media. The concept of beauty established from the above has been appearing throughout various culture such as dress and decoration at the given period of time. It would later affect the formation of space as well as decoration for architectures and styles. It will be analyzed throughout the five design elements; style, composition, materials, components, and form. The thesis would like to find the spatial order of beauty from the result of the analysis. The analysis will examine the possibility for which the recomposition of beauty will be provided as a design process for the new era. The Greek beauty represents a shape. The shape represents proportion and the proportion represents given numbers. However, beauty is being expressed by the opposite process at the present time. In other words, computers will arrange the numbers, which would formalize the proportion between the numbers. Beauty would be presented when the shape is presented as certain forms.

연상호 감독의 단편 애니메이션 <창, 2012>은 군의 폭력성을 드러내는 시사고발 내용으로 많은 이들의 공감과 성찰을 유도하였다. 이는, 사회고발적 주제를 통해 오락성이 아닌 공익을 위한 애니메이션의 사회적 가치의 가능성을 보여준다 하겠다. 이에, 본 연구는 애니메이션을 통해 시사고발 영화 기능이 어떻게 구현되는지 서사적 구성과 연출 특성에 대해 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 연구의 전개는 첫째, 문헌과 사례를 중심으로 시사고발 영화의 의의와 일반적 특성에 대해 고찰한다. 둘째, 앞선 문헌연구를 바탕으로 분석기준을 도출하고, 셋째, 애니메이션 단편 영화 <창>에 대해 시사고발적 기능, 연출적 특성, 애니메이션 표현기법을 중심으로 사례연구를 진행한다. 본 연구를 통해 <창, 2012>은 군내부의 위계적, 폐쇄적 특성으로 인해 역사적, 사회적 이슈를 다루는 일반 시사고발 영화와는 다른 특성이 드러났으며, 또한, 연상호 감독의 독창적인 서사적, 연출적 기법이 애니메이션을 통해 시사고발기능을 효과적으로 구현함을 알 수 있다.

본 연구는 시각적 등가성에 대한 한국인의 성향분석을 목적으로 수행되었다. 자연현상에서 흔히 조우할 수 있는 시각적 동등성에 우리가 동일한 가치를 부여할 수 있는지 없는지에 대해 일부 심리학자들의 유사연구를 참고로 하였고, 설문조사를 통해서 한국인의 성향을 조사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같은 발견점을 가져다 주었다. - 일부 특수한 경우를 제외하고 시각적 등가성은 한국인에 있어서는 현실적으로 존재하기 어렵다. - 화면에서의 대각선은 오른쪽 아래에서 왼쪽 위방향보다 왼쪽 아래에서 오른쪽 위방향으로 보다 상승감을 느끼게 해준다는 지적은 사실로 드러났다. - 화면의 오른쪽이 왼쪽보다 무거워보인다는 지적은 우리 나라 사람들에게 있어서는 확인되지 않았거나 무시할만한 정도 이내이다. - 자연현상의 묘사나 이에 대한 관찰자의 시각물 수용에서, 사용자 인터페이스가 작용하는 것으로 드러났다. 이 경우 오른손 듣기가 대부분인 한국인에 있어서는 이러한 현상을 자연스러운 것으로 받아들이는 것이 좋다. - 한국인의 좌측 우위사상에서 오는 전래적인 시각적 표현은 지금도 우리 문화 속에 녹아 있다. 이상의 내용을 한 마디로 정리한다면, 한국인에 있어서 시각적 등가성은 대체적으로 실존하지 않는다는 점이며, 여러 가지 측면에서 오른쪽보다는 왼쪽에 경도되는 일반적인 성향을 한국인이 가지고 있다는 점이 발견되었다.

본 연구는 최근 영역을 넓히고 있는 일러스트 작가의 아트마케팅 트랜드를 살펴보고 색조화장품의 디자인 컨셉을 제안하고자 한다. 아트마케팅은 문화마케팅의 한 종류로 전시, 공연, 기타 예술 활동을 통한 마케팅을 의미한다. 아트와 생활의 경계가 모호해 지고 아트적인 모티브가 제품 속으로 녹아들고 아트적 속성이 다시 캔버스에 반영될 수 있는 자유로운 감성 표현이 주목받고 있다. 일러스트 작가의 작품들이 캔버스가 아닌 생활속의 아이템으로 영역을 넓히고 있는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 아트마케팅을 반영한 색조화장품 디자인을 제안하였다. 디자인 컨셉을 제안한 주요 타켓층은 20대 초중반의 젊은층으로 그들은 트랜드 지향적이며 개성이 강하고 스스로 인정받고 싶어하는 경향이 있다. 색조화장품 패키지 디자인에 디자인 컨셉을 강조하기 위하여 현란하고 강렬한 색상조합으로 타겟 계층의 진취적인 이미지를 반영하였다. 아트적인 무드가 생활속에 파고 들면서 우리 생활에 문화적 가치와 의미를 제공하고 있음을 알 수 있다.

Since the graphics of fashion items as a means to deliver messages suggest practical sections of the society while showing individual ideas and identity, they have values of promotion to attract attention by manifesting an effective function during the process of delivering intentions and the signification. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the characteristics expressed with graphics shown on T-shirts of casual wear out of all the fashion items and analyze the social messages reflected on them. Using the Barthes' system of denotation and connotation, distinguished symbolic functions and meaning among graphics were analyzed through the analysis of expression methods of the graphics as the denotation of initial meaning and connotation of secondary meaning. Each casual brand has led the sale of casual markets by appealing consumers with graphic items with characters printed such as various kinds of animals and symbols or lettering printed such as hieroglyph and logos, as various expressive methods and social significance as well as a effective communicative means of graphics. As examined above, graphics expressed on fashion items have an informative characteristic and a persuasive characteristic in the aspect of contents, which has a single value as a communicative characteristic. Those characteristics have developed into the fashion graphic actively reflecting a designer's conviction, values, feelings and identity by acting on social issues and publicness. That is, in the age of information, effective messages delivered through the fashion graphic to the public have contributed to the establishment of an appropriate atmosphere of visual culture while maximizing the role and function as a social significance.

Graffiti has been recognized as an art form since the influence of free, black culture and Neo-Expressionism in the 1980s, though Graffiti remains the subject of controversy both inside and outside the school Modem Art. Jean Michel Basquiat is the most famous Graffiti artist of the '80. He was regarded as the genius and star of American art, leaving a lot of experimental and creative works during his short, 9-year, creative period. In his works, Basquiat well expressed the isolated and dark shadows in the U.S., the pursuit of self identification, the purpose of expression and the epochally social phenomenon. The purpose of this study is to investigate the application of Jean Michel Basquiat's Graffiti to fashion painting. To achieve this purpose, we present a lot of fashion painting works which apply Jean Michel Basquiat's Graffiti by focusing on autographic experience, racialism, cartoon themes, monely value, and anatomical death in the characteristics of Basquiat's works. Through this process, we can express and apply Basquiat's Graffiti to fashion painting by analogizing the themes and modeling the methods of his works, such as childish and simple features, intentionally wrong spellings and sentences, and symbols of death including skeletons, intestines, bones and teeth. In addition, Basquiat's techniques are examined in this study, including the representational handling of a brush, primitive and strong colors, and maximized shape. This study found that fashion painting can juxtaposes art and fashion by expressing Jean Michel Basquiats' Graffiti.

본 연구는 애니메이션 장르에서 추상애니메이션이 갖는 가치와 예술적 성과를 역사적으로 재조명하고 미즈에 미라이 (Mirai Mizue)를 비롯한 추상애니메이션 작가의 작품세계와 아방가르드적 특성의 연구를 통해 추상 애니메이션의 현대적 의의와 그 중요성을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 추상애니메이션은 이미지의 시간성과 운동성을 다루는 예술가들의 실험적 작품으로 현대 시각문화와 애니메이션의 발달을 위해 중요한 역할을 하고 있음에도 불구하고 영상 콘텐츠 시장의 대중성이라는 특징 때문에 상업화와 흥행에 치중되어 그 가치를 잃어가고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 추상 애니메이션과 같은 실험 애니메이션이 애니메이션 산업을 포함한 영상 콘텐츠 산업의 다양화와 질적 향상에 기여하는 현대적 의의가 있음을 밝히고 현대 산업에 미치는 영향도 살펴본다. 또한 모더니즘으로 시작하여 다양화되고 있는 추상애니메이션의 발전과정과 현대적 진화, 그리고 추상 애니메이션의 실험적 특성과 표현방법들에 대해 논의한다.

Phasianus colchicus is not only a beautiful bird but also a great value in science and under the threat of endanger. Hence, the aim of this study was to isolate the pheasant male germ cells (mGCs) and then induce them into elongated sperm-like cells in vitro. The mGCs were purified and enriched by a two-step plating method based on the different adherence velocities of mGCs and somatic cells. The percentage of the c-kit positive cells and c-kit negative cells examined by flow cytometry analysis (FCA) was 92.87% and 2.57%, respectively. Subsequently, the mGCs were induced for 48h in DMEM/F12 medium supplemented factors such as retinol acid, testosterone and bovine FSH, followed by 5 weeks in culture. We found that some elongated sperm-like cells appeared initially in vitro under inducement of stimulated factors. The elongated sperm-like cells showed in the expression of changed morphology and post-transcriptional marker such as spermatid associated (SPERT), spermatid perinuclear RNA binding protein (STRBP), round spermatid basic protein 1 (RSBN1) and SPER1L. Moreover, in DNA content identified assay, induced cells showed that the 1C DNA population markedly increased in differentiated group but it was not change in undifferentiated group. Successful in vitro differentiation of pheasant testicular germline cells into spermatids appears to offer extremely attractive potential for the conservation of endangered birds and treatment of male infertility.

패션텍스타일 산업의 미래를 제시할 수 있는 패션텍스타일 전용 CAD 시스템의 개발은 디지털 기술의 발달과 함께 가속화되고 있다. 이러한 디지털 문화 기반의 구축은 패션텍스타일 산업에서도 고부가가치의 상품개발과 신속한 생산체제의 변화가 요구되며, 이런 욕구에 충족할 수 있는 전용 프로그램들이 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 디지털 패션텍스타일의 변화와 디자인 시스템의 구성과 특징을 고찰하고 디지털 패션텍스타일 디자인 전개방법을 비교분석하였다. 또한 기존 그래픽프로그램과 차별화되어 개발되고 있는 창의적인 디지털 패턴디자인의 전개와 변형, 적합한 직물 텍스츄어의 표현, 3D모델링을 통한 시뮬레이션효과를 체계적으로 정립하였다. 패션텍스타일 CAD시스템의 활용을 디자인적 측면과 생산적인 측면으로 나누어 패션텍스타일 디자인 전용 CAD의 활용 가치를 높이는데 중점을 두었다.

The high percentage of Vermamoeba was found in tap water in Korea. This study investigated whether Vermamoeba induced allergic airway inflammation in mice. We selected 2 free-living amoebas (FLAs) isolated from tap water, which included Korean FLA 5 (KFA5; Vermamoeba vermiformis) and 21 (an homolog of Acanthamoeba lugdunensis KA/E2). We axenically cultured KFA5 and KFA21. We applied approximately 1×10⁶ to mice's nasal passages 6 times and investigated their pathogenicity. The airway resistance value was significantly increased after KFA5 and KFA21 treatments. The eosinophil recruitment and goblet cell hyperplasia were concomitantly observed in bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL) fluid and lung tissue in mice infected with KFA5 and KFA21. These infections also activated the Th2-related interleukin 25, thymic stromal lymphopoietin, and thymus and activation-regulated chemokines gene expression in mouse lung epithelial cells. The CD4⁺ interleukin 4⁺ cell population was increased in the lung, and the secretion of Th2-, Th17-, and Th1-associated cytokines were upregulated during KFA5 and KFA21 infection in the spleen, lung-draining lymph nodes, and BAL fluid. The pathogenicity (allergenicity) of KFA5 and KFA21 might not have drastically changed during the long-term in vitro culture. Our results suggested that Vermamoeba could elicit allergic airway inflammation and may be an airway allergen.
