  • First, In this essay we research about secondary source unit(SIV)180KVA is install on VVVF direct subways for using Filter Capacitor(FC) maintenance & limit of use. Vehicle's extendly use and congestly at load for Catenary voltage and load change about output change and in SIV unit there are important device named GTO Thyristor, Power Transistor Module device become short and it often happen. We analysis the fault cause and there are effects and we know the secondary source unit in filter capacitor FC1~4 input harmonic distortion component's filtering don't do correctly so we study the capacitor extend use for the component change and the outside condition by slow property changed happen and we check before and when its fault, its difficult to measure. Finally, In this research we care for this reason and we study about capacitor maintenance through control and measure ways improvement and capacitor's life spans limit of use.

  • 교류전동기 구동을 위한 산업용 전력전자 시스템은 전력회생용 양방향 컨버터, VVVF 인버터, 교류전동기 벡터제어기, 및 다양한 전기ㆍ기계적 연계 장치들을 포함하는 전기기계 복합시스템 특성을 지니기 때문에 전체 시스템에 대한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션이 용이하지 않다. 일반적으로 이러한 복잡성을 해결하기 위한 방안으로서 시스템을 근사화시키고 이에 대한 수학적인 등가모델을 유도한 후 이를 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 행하고 있지만, 이 경우 실계통의 다이나믹특성을 정확히 표현할 수 없기 때문에 시뮬레이션 신뢰성이 저하될 수 있다 본 논문에서는 가변구조 제어기법에 의해 역률1 제어기능을 갖는 PWM 컨버터, VVVF 인버터 및 유도기 간접벡터제어기 둥을 포함하는 유도전동기 구동전력전자 시스템을 다이나믹 노드 기법(Dynamic Node Technique DNT)과 시뮬링크(Simulink)를 이용하여 실제회로 구성상태와 유사한 형태로 시뮬링크 윈도우상에서 설계하고, 이를 통해 시뮬레이션을 행할 수 있는 기법을 제시한다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통하여 전력전자 시스템의 특성과 제시된 다이나믹 노드 기법과 시뮬링크를 이용한 시뮬레이션 기법의 유용성을 보였다.

  • This paper describes the design of the power conversion system for the 3-ton prototype magnetic levitation system. Electric power needed for the propulsion and levitation system of the vehicle is supplied by the wayside rectifier through the power rail and is picked up by the on board power collector, and is supplied to the propulsion VVVF inverter and levitation chopper. In this paper, design characteristic of the VVVF inverter, chopper and power source unit which provides control power to the levitation controller and levitation power to the chopper is described.

  • This paper is concerned with the simulation and determination of the input voltage and frequency for the optimal efficiency operation of induction motors. In general, induction motors have a specific character that operation efficiency is dropped sharply at the light roads condition. Consequently, if the induction motor is controlled by high efficiency using the VVVF(variable voltage variable frequency) control methods at optimal values, the entire system can obtain the substantial energy savings from the efficiency improvement in induction motors. In this paper, optimal slip is derived from the modeling of an induction motor and the optimal hybrid-control method is suggested by the simulation of the proposed algorithm for a 3-phase induction motor.

  • The battery charger for high speed trail car is very important power source for the purpose of safety and system stability It provides control power of VVVF, CVCF, DC/DC converter and inverter for traction motor. This paper included power circuit of the ZVZCS type battery charger for high speed trail car and battery charging algorithm. Also the optimum parallel operation of 50kW battery charger for high speed trail car, and charring control method of Ni-Cd battery illustrates validity and effectiveness through the experiments.

  • Recently, the Seoul Metro has replaced the old series of Line No.2 and 3 to the new ones. In spite of the replacement, the new ones are more likely to be slippery compared to the old ones. Because the subway system has such short intervals, delayed subways influence the whole line systems, especially during the rush hours. And the slip causes the delay. Therefore we are willing to find out the reason why the new ones are more defective and we will try to mince it from the view of mechanical aspects and handling aspects of driving.

  • Conventional VVVF control voltage-fed inverter of blower induction motor has advantage that very speedy response characteristics for air-harmonic. But there have bad power factor on input orient have its large volume and high error ratio over 80%. And there are very expensive by reason of using the capacitor input rectifier. In this paper, It could make the smoothing capacitor-less inverter for air-blower motor by using the instantaneous compensation PWM controller. This inverter system has small volume and value compare with the conventional VVVF control inverter for blower induction motor for air-harmonic equipment.

  • This paper introduces an implementation of high performance voltage source inverter system based on 16bit micro-processor and DSP for the application to modem rolling stock traction system. In contrast with other industry oriented inverter system, this system requires precise control action complying with various load condition and high overload capability. An asynchronous PWM generation and 3' pulse mode technology are adopted in order to improve compliant starting torque characteristics at starting phase and soft backward-forward starting motion.

  • In this study, experimental and theoretical methods were applied to understand brake squeal noise VVVF rolling stock on tracks. Trailer cars needed to payed a particular attention, because they were the major source of brake noise. VVVF rolling stocks for lines no 1 of the subway system in Seoul were used for experimental analyses. In order to study brake squeal noise, a dynamometer test at the S&T Brake, Co., which was a manufacturer of brake pads had performed. For measuring vibration and noise, vibration tests of brake parts (brake lining, brake lining head, back plates, etc.) at the SNUT were executed. Also, vibration tests of disc assembly and lining block at the heavy maintenance shop of the Gunja depot were performed. The modal analyses by using an ANSYS which was one of the CAE commercial program were simulated to know the relationship to the mechanism of brake noise. On the based of the tests and the simulations it was found that specific frequencies of the brake parts affected squeal noise, and improvements for reducing squeal noise were proposed.
