Design and Implementation of Network Management System for Integrated Management of IP based Subscriber Networks (IP기반 가입자망 통합관리를 위한 망관리 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • Internet Service Subscribers Network has a new role of providing various multimedia services to the home. However, there exist several types of distributed subscriber networks using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), Very high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL), and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS). The efficient and concentrated network management of those several distributed subscribers networks with resources requires the general network information model, which has and conceptional managed objects independent of type of network and its equipment to manage the integrated subscriber network. This paper presents the general Internet subscribers network model of the managed object to manage that network in the form of integrated hierarchy. This paper adopts the object-oriented development methodology with UML and designs and implements the integrated subscribers NMS of cable data network and VDSL network as examples of the subscriber networks.

A Design of Pipelined Analog-to-Digital Converter with Multi SHA Structure (Multi SHA 구조의 파이프라인 아날로그-디지털 변환기 설계)

  • In this paper, Pipelined A/D converter with multi SHA structure is proposed for high speed operation. The proposed structure incorporates a multi SHA block that consists of multiple SHAs of identical characteristics in parallel to improve the conversion speed. The designed multi SHA is operated by non-overlapping clocks and the sampling speed can be improved by increasing the number of multiplexed SHAs. Pipelined A/D converter, applying the proposed structure, is designed to satisfy requirement of analog front-end of VDSL modem. The measured INL and DNL of designed A/D converter are $0.52LSB{\sim}-0.50LSB\;and\;0.80LSB{\sim}-0.76LSB$, respectively. It satisfies the design specifications for VDSL modems. The simulated SNR is about 66dB which corresponds to a 10.7 bit resolution. The power consumption is 24.32mW.

Development of the speed up x-DSL extender for AM, HF rejection (공중파 제거를 위한 x-DSL 고속화 장치 개발)

  • Intentional city bands and public radio frequencies could reduce the internet transmission speed on the wired lines because AM and HF band are overlapping on the xDSL up and down data steam by way of the wired transmission lines. We were designed the adaptive common mode rejection circuit with 2 way amplifier against public radio frequency. Specially our circuits were applied for power and signal lines. We could reduced the common mode rejection up to 30dB and increased the up stream speed around 1.8 times using a our developed equipments. Also it could expanded the transmission distance up to 1.7 times than old lines.

A Study on the Economical Installation Method of Fiber Optical Subscriber Network (광 가입자망의 구축 방식별 경제성 연구)

  • In this paper, various forms of technical methods as well as comparison analysis on constructing optical subscriber network were studied to find the most economical installation method in the future. Comparison analysis has been focused on the three popular types of optical subscriber networks in Korea, such as VDSL2, Ethernet-LAN and FTTH-R. A study is conducted on the initial installation investment per subscriber, equipment failure rate as well as power consumption per subscriber. As a results, FTTH-R network will be the most economical method in the future, but a gradual switch which undergoes a UTP-fiber hybrid method as the midway process is preferable in considering the existing installed copper UTP subscriber cables.
