Ensuring the security of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) is paramount to safeguarding the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure. This paper addresses the significant threat posed by reconnaissance attacks on SCADA/ICS networks and presents an innovative methodology for enhancing their protection. The proposed approach strategically employs imbalance dataset handling techniques, ensemble methods, and feature engineering to enhance the resilience of SCADA/ICS systems. Experimentation and analysis demonstrate the compelling efficacy of our strategy, as evidenced by excellent model performance characterized by good precision, recall, and a commendably low false negative (FN). The practical utility of our approach is underscored through the evaluation of real-world SCADA/ICS datasets, showcasing superior performance compared to existing methods in a comparative analysis. Moreover, the integration of feature augmentation is revealed to significantly enhance detection capabilities. This research contributes to advancing the security posture of SCADA/ICS environments, addressing a critical imperative in the face of evolving cyber threats.

Developments in power electronics have enabled the widespread application of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) inverters, notably for connecting renewable systems to the grid. This study demonstrates that a high-quality power can be achieved using a stand-alone inverter, whereby the comparison between the power quality of the stand-alone inverter with battery storage (off-grid) and the power quality of the utility network is presented. Multi-loop control techniques for a single phase stand-alone inverter are used. A capacitor current control is used to give active damping and enhance the transient and steady state inverter performance. A capacitor current control is cheaper than the inductor current control, where a small current sensing resistor is used. The output voltage control is used to improve the system performance and also control the output voltage. The inner control loop uses a proportional gain current controller and the outer loop is implemented using internal model control proportional-integral-derivative to ensure stability. The optimal controls are achieved by using the Sisotool tool in MATLAB/Simulink. The outcome of the control scheme of the numerical model of the stand-alone inverter has a smooth and good dynamic performance, but also a strong robustness to load variations. The numerical model of the stand-alone inverter and its power quality are presented, and the power quality is shown to meet the IEEE 519-2014. Furthermore, the power quality of the off-grid system is measured experimentally and compared with the grid power, showing power quality of off-grid system to be better than that of the utility network.
Existing shortest-path algorithms mainly consider a single attribute. But traveler actually chooses a route considering not single attribute but various attributes which are synthesized travel time, route length, personal preference, etc. Therefore, to search the optimal path, these attributes are considered synthetically. In this study route searching algorithm which selects the maximum utility route using discrete choice model has developed in order to consider various attributes. Six elements which affect route choice are chosen for the route choice model and parameters of the models are estimated using survey data. A multinomial logit models are developed to design the function of route choice model. As a result, the model which has route length, delay time, the number of turning as parameter is selected based on the significance test. We use existing shortest path algorithm, which can reflect urban transportation network such as u-turn or p-turn, and apply it to the real network.

In cellular network systems one of the most significant quality metrics to measure quality of performance is the average number of call drops in a system. It ensures that the active calls in the system are successfully completed without being dropped in the mid communication for ultimate customer satisfaction. Hand-off mechanism increases cellular system reliability by seamless continuation of active calls by transferring active calls from one base station to another. In this paper, we study and propose a simple hand-off mechanism using game theory. We conclude that using the simple QoS utility function proposed in this paper, our optimal deterministic hand-off strategy is to transfer the active calls to the base station with greater signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) and greater number of available channels.

This paper presents low power frequency shift keying (FSK) transmitter using all digital PLL (ADPLL) for smart utility network (SUN). In order to operate at low-power and to integrate a small die area, the ADPLL is adopted in transmitter. The phase noise of the ADPLL is improved by using a fine resolution time to digital converter (TDC) and digitally controlled oscillator (DCO). The FSK transmitter is implemented in $0.18{\mu}m$ 1-poly 6-metal CMOS technology. The die area of the transmitter including ADPLL is $3.5mm^2$. The power consumption of the ADPLL is 12.43 mW. And, the power consumptions of the transmitter are 35.36 mW and 65.57 mW when the output power levels are -1.6 dBm and +12 dBm, respectively. Both of them are supplied by 1.8 V voltage source. The frequency resolution of the TDC is 2.7 ps. The effective DCO frequency resolution with the differential MOS varactor and sigma-delta modulator is 2.5 Hz. The phase noise of the ADPLL output at 1.8 GHz is -121.17 dBc/Hz with a 1 MHz offset.
In this paper we propose a fast negotiation agent system that guarantees the reciprocity of the attendants in a bilateral negotiation on the e-commerce. The proposednegotiation agent system exploits the incremental learning method based on an artificial neural network in generating a counter-offer and is trained by the previous offer that has been rejected by the other party. During a negotiation, the software agents on behalf of a buyer and a seller negotiate each other by considering the multi-attributes of a product. The experimental results show that the proposed negotiation system achieves better agreements than other negotiation agent systems that are operated under the realistic and practical environment. Furthermore, the proposed system carries out negotiations about twenty times faster than the previous negotiation systems on the average.

This study is to enhance the provincial leisure plans through various programs and infrastructure facilities and to establish a network of natural leisure areas in Gyeonggi-do. According to the result, first, in terms of analyzing the locations of natural leisure areas by types, the rest of urban parks is formed in the Capital area outside Seoul as centering around the central area. Moreover, with regard to the rest of forest and the rest of natural ecology learning, the area of the detention exceeds the total area of Gyeonggi-do. The rest of valleys and swamps showed a dotted pattern of the detention area while the rest of tideland and fishing village experience indicated a distribution of the detention area along the West Coast as an axis. Second, according to result of analyzing the accessibility of natural leisure areas by types, the rest of valleys and swamps showed the highest accessibility among the natural leisure areas : the rest of natural ecology learning had the medium level of accessibility; the rest of forest indicated the lowest accessibility. Therefore, it is necessary to create more leisure areas concerning the futures demands. In addition, they should be constructed in the places adjacent to the urban district area exhibiting higher usability and accessibility. In the places where there are many natural leisure area with higher utility, management plans should be deliberated as well. Based on the result of analyzing the rest of valleys and swamps and the rest of tideland and fishing village experience, it was found that the natural leisure area should improve the quality of water intensively and hydrophile property and create hydrophilic spaces. The development of natural leisure areas need to be carried out under the principle of environmental protection while considering historic sites and nearby rivers and lakes. Moreover, water leisure programs should be developed actively as well with further utilization of water resources in order to enhance the usability of natural leisure.
Self-adaptive systems (SASs) can change their goals and behaviors to achieve its ultimate goal in a dynamic execution environment. Existing approaches have designed, at the design time, utility functions to evaluate and predict the goal satisfaction, and set policies that are crucial to achieve each goal. The systems can be adapted to various runtime environments by utilizing the pre-defined utility functions and policies. These approaches, however, may or may not guarantee the proper adaptability, because system designers cannot assume and predict all system environment perfectly at the design time. To cope with this problem, this paper proposes a new method of dynamic decision making, which takes the following steps: firstly we design a Dynamic Decision Network (DDN) with environmental data and goal model that reflect system contexts; secondly, the goal satisfaction is evaluated and predicted with the designed DDN and real-time environmental information. We furthermore propose a dynamic reflection method that changes the model by using newly generated data in real-time. The proposed method was actually applied to ROBOCODE, and verified its effectiveness by comparing to conventional static decision making.

Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is one of the enabling technologies for 5G networks that support proximity-based service (ProSe) for wireless network communications. This paper proposes a power control algorithm based on the Nash equilibrium and game theory to eliminate the interference between the cellular user device and D2D links. This leadsto reliable connectivity with minimal power consumption in wireless communication. The power control in D2D is modeled as a non-cooperative game. Each device is allowed to independently select and transmit its power to maximize (or minimize) user utility. The aim is to guide user devices to converge with the Nash equilibrium by establishing connectivity with network resources. The proposed algorithm with pricing factors is used for power consumption and reduces overall interference of D2Ds communication. The proposed algorithm is evaluated in terms of the energy efficiency of the average power consumption, the number of D2D communication, and the number of iterations. Besides, the algorithm has a relatively fast convergence with the Nash Equilibrium rate. It guarantees that the user devices can achieve their required Quality of Service (QoS) by adjusting the residual cost coefficient and residual energy factor. Simulation results show that the power control shows a significant reduction in power consumption that has been achieved by approximately 20% compared with algorithms in [11].

In recent years, research on smart factory wireless mobile communication technology that wirelessly remotely controls utilities is being actively conducted. The Wi-SUN(Wireless Smart Utility Network) Alliance proposed Wi-SUN protocol structure suitable for building a platform such as a smart factory as a new wireless communication standardization standard based on EEE802.15.4g/e. It analyzes the performance of the IEEE802.15.4e CSL(Coordinated Sampled Listening) Mode MAC(Media Access Control) in terms of power consumption and looks at considerations for efficient operation. Although CSL-MAC can dramatically reduce power consumption at the receiving end in an asynchronous manner, it has been found that the transmitting end has a disadvantage in that power consumption occurs due to an excessive wake-up sequence.
