This paper implemented into hardware SEED which is the KOREA standard 128-bit block cipher. First, at the respect of hardware implementation, we compared and analyzed SEED with AES finalist algorithms - MARS, RC6, RIJNDAEL, SERPENT, TWOFISH, which are secret key block encryption algorithms. The encryption of SEED is faster than MARS, RC6, TWOFISH, but is as five times slow as RIJNDAEL which is the fastest. We propose a SEED hardware architecture which improves the encryption speed. We divided one round into three parts, J1 function block, J2 function block J3 function block including key mixing block, because SEED repeatedly executes the same operation 16 times, then we pipelined one round into three parts, J1 function block, J2 function block, J3 function block including key mixing block, because SEED repeatedly executes the same operation 16 times, then we pipelined it to make it more faster. G-function is implemented more easily by xoring four extended 4 byte SS-boxes. We tested it using ALTERA FPGA with Verilog HDL. If the design is synthesized with 0.5 um Samsung standard cell library, encryption of ECB and decryption of ECB, CBC, CFB, which can be pipelined would take 50 clock cycles to encrypt 384-bit plaintext, and hence we have 745.6 Mbps assuming 97.1 MHz clock frequency. Encryption of CBC, OFB, CFB and decryption of OFB, which cannot be pipelined have 258.9 Mbps under same condition.

In this study, chemical information on a total of 20 individual compounds was constructed to identify isoflavones from the previous reports related with used parts(seeds, leaves, stems, pods) and products of soybean(Glycine max L.). Through constructed library and UPLC-DAD-QToF/MS analysis, a total of 19 individual isoflavones including aglycones, glucosides, acetylglucosides and malonylglucosides as major compounds was identified and quantified from 14 selected soybean seeds. Among them, genistein 7-O-(2"-O-apiosyl)glucoside and genistein 7-O-(6"-O-apiosyl)glucoside(ambocin) were identified tentatively as novel compounds in soybean seeds. Besides, among malonylglucosides, glycitein 4'-O-(6"-O-malonyl)glucoside was estimated for the first time. Total isoflavone contents were distributed from 240.21 to 445.21(mg/100 g, dry matter) and 7-O-6"-O-malonylglucosides were composed of 77.8% on total isoflavone as well as genistein derivatives were confirmed as major class. It was considered importantly that the development of isoflavone-rich varieties was necessary to strengthen their effects such as anti-inflammation, anti-cancer and menopause mitigation. The qualitative and quantitative data presented precisely in this study could be help to select and breed isoflavone-rich varieties. Furthermore, their basic isoflavone profile is expected to be applied to estimate the change of isoflavone conjugates on bioavailability after soy food supplements.
We used a heterozygous gene deletion library of fission yeasts comprising all essential and non-essential genes for a microarray screening of target genes of the antifungal terbinafine, which inhibits ergosterol synthesis via the Erg1 enzyme. We identified 14 heterozygous strains corresponding to 10 non-essential [7 ribosomal-protein (RP) coding genes, spt7, spt20, and elp2] and 4 essential genes (tif302, rpl2501, rpl31, and erg1). Expectedly, their erg1 mRNA and protein levels had decreased compared to the control strain SP286. When we studied the action mechanism of the non-essential target genes using cognate haploid deletion strains, knockout of SAGA-subunit genes caused a down-regulation in erg1 transcription compared to the control strain ED668. However, knockout of RP genes conferred no susceptibility to ergosterol-targeting antifungals. Surprisingly, the RP genes participated in the erg1 transcription as components of repressor complexes as observed in a comparison analysis of the experimental ratio of erg1 mRNA. To understand the action mechanism of the interaction between the drug and the novel essential target genes, we performed isobologram assays with terbinafine and econazole (or cycloheximide). Terbinafine susceptibility of the tif302 heterozygous strain was attributed to both decreased erg1 mRNA levels and inhibition of translation. Moreover, Tif302 was required for efficacy of both terbinafine and cycloheximide. Based on a molecular modeling analysis, terbinafine could directly bind to Tif302 in yeasts, suggesting Tif302 as a potential off-target of terbinafine. In conclusion, this genome-wide screening system can be harnessed for the identification and characterization of target genes under any condition of interest.

Purpose: This study is an integrated literature review to analyze health problems and social determinants of multicultural adolescents in South Korea. Methods: An integrative review was conducted according to Whittemore & Knafl's guideline. An electronic search that included publications from 2018 to 2020 in the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, RISS, and KISS databases was conducted. Of a total of 67 records that were identified, 13 finally met full inclusion criteria. Text network analysis was also conducted to identify keywords network trends using NetMiner program. Results: The health problems of multicultural adolescents were classified into mental health (depression, anxiety, suicide and acculturative stress) and health risk behaviors (smoking, risky drinking, smartphone dependence and sexual behavior). As social determinants affecting the health of multicultural adolescents, the biological factors such as gender, age, and visible minority, and the psychological factors such as acculturative stress, self-esteem, family support, and ego-resiliency were identified. The sociocultural factors were identified as family economic status, residential area, parental education level, and parents' country of birth. As a result of text network analysis, a total of 41 words were identified. Conclusion: Based on these results, mental health and health risk behaviors should be considered as interventions for health promotion of multicultural adolescents. Our findings suggest that further research should be conducted to broaden the scope of health determinants to account for the effects of the physical environment and health care system.
Objectives This study investigated the trends in domestic and international clinical research in craniosacral therapy, classified as a type of Chuna manual therapy, and suggested further directions in Korean medicine. Methods This scoping review was performed using the Arksey and O'Malley methodological framework and preferred reporting items as per the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses extension for scoping reviews checklist. Eight electronic databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Koreanstudies Information Service System [KISS], KMBASE, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System [OASIS], Research Information Sharing Service [RISS], ScienceON) were searched to identify articles with the search terms "craniosacral therapy" and "cranial osteopathy" until December 2021. Results Forty-five studies were eligible as per our inclusion criteria. Most research studies (n=44) were conducted in the field of medicine and pharmacy, especially in rehabilitation medicine (n=16). As a result of the study design, randomized controlled trials (n=20) were the most common, and chronic pain (n=9) was the most frequently targeted disease, followed by headache (n=7). Thirty-two studies suggested interventions and 20 studies used Upledger's 10-step protocol. The average duration of craniosacral therapy was 41 min per session, administered 1.4 times per week. Outcome measurements were analyzed and categorized with the examination procedure for the patient. Conclusions This is the first scoping review of craniosacral therapy in Korea, and we believe that our findings could support its utility as Chuna. In the future, more studies should be conducted to establish the evidence of clinical efficacy of craniosacral therapy and develop standard techniques in Korean medicine.
Background: The radionuclide inventory calculation codes such as ORIGEN and FISPACT collapse neutron reaction libraries with energy spectra and generate an effective one-group cross-section. Since the nuclear cross-section data, energy group (g) structure, and other input details used by the two codes are different, there may be differences in each code's activation inventory calculation results. In this study, the calculation results of neutron-induced activation inventory using ORIGEN and FISPACT were compared and analyzed regarding radioactive waste classification and worker exposure during nuclear decommissioning. Materials and Methods: Two neutron spectra were used to obtain the comparison results: Watt fission spectrum and thermalized energy spectrum. The effective one-group cross-sections were generated for each type of energy group structure provided in ORIGEN and FISPACT. Then, the effective one-group cross-sections were analyzed by focusing on 59Ni, 63Ni, 94Nb, 60Co, 152Eu, and 154Eu, which are the main radionuclides of stainless steel, carbon steel, zircalloy, and concrete for decommissioning nuclear power plant (NPP). Results and Discussion: As a result of the analysis, 154Eu and 59Ni may be overestimated or underestimated depending on the code selection by up to 30%, because the cross-section library used for each code is different. When ORIGEN-44g, -49g, and -238g structures are selected, the differences of the calculation results of effective one-group cross-section according to group structure selection were less than 1% for the six nuclides applied in this study, and when FISPACT-69g, -172g, and -315g were applied, the difference was less than 1%, too. Conclusion: ORIGEN and FISPACT codes can be applied to activation calculations with their own built-in energy group structures for decommissioning NPP. Since the differences in calculation results may occur depending on the selection of codes and energy group structures, it is appropriate to properly select the energy group structure according to the accuracy required in the calculation and the characteristics of the problem.

This study was a meta-analysis of previous studies that subjected stroke patients to the whole-body vibration exercise, in an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of such exercise in improving their balance and walking ability. The electronic databases used for literature search were the National Assembly Library, Korean Educational Academic Information (RISS), Korean Academic Information (KISS), and Nuri Media (DBPIA). We also investigated a prior study of the whole-body vibration exercise applied to stroke patients from January 2010 to August 2020. In assessing the quality of the study, the RCT (randomized controls trials) study used the risk of bias 2 (RoB2) tool developed by the Cochrane group. Meta-analysis was performed using R software for statistical computing version 4.0.3. The results of the study confirmed that the overall effect size was 0.40, and the whole-body vibration exercise used had a moderate effect on the balance and gait of stroke patients, the effect size of balance was 0.44, and the effect size of gait was 0.36, showing a positive effect. These results indicated that the whole-body vibration exercise is an effective intervention for stroke patients, and further research is needed.
The digital divide issue is re-emerging in step with the rapid progress of digital transformation. Recently, the discussion of the digital divide is expanding to the point that the difference in digital access and use competency deepens economic and social inequality and discrimination. Notably, the phenomenon of the exclusion and alienation of the elderly from society is a serious matter to be addressed. Accordingly, this research was conducted to provide practical help in minimizing the digital divide through its understanding among the elderly. To this end, both the accomplished capital accumulated and experienced in the course of life and their attitudes toward technology in relation to digital competence capital by the elderly were examined in three dimensions. This analysis was conducted using the results of the '2020 The Report on the Digital Divide'. The target group of the analysis comprised 653 seniors aged 65 and above. As a result of the analysis, digital competence capital among the elderly was affected by both various types of accomplished capital such as educational, income, social, and emotional capital and digital device use attitude. Based on this, this study proposed measures to bridge the digital divide among the elderly.
Burning mouth syndrome (BMS) is a chronic oral disorder of unknown etiology which presents therapeutic challenges. Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) has been studied as a potential treatment for BMS. The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to evaluate the effectiveness of ALA compared to that of placebo or other interventions in individuals with BMS. Randomized controlled trials (RCT) using ALA to treat BMS were identified from MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Web of Science up to February 3, 2021. The assessment of the risk of bias in the included studies was based on the Cochrane guidelines. The primary outcome evaluated was the visual analog scale (VAS) pain intensity. ALA was compared with placebo, clonazepam, gabapentin, pregabalin, ALA plus gabapentin, capsaicin, Biotène®, and laser therapy. Altogether, 137 records were scanned for inclusion/exclusion, and nine RCTs (two unclear and seven at high risk of bias) were included in the qualitative and quantitative analyses, with a total of 594 patients with BMS included in this review. All studies reported an improvement in VAS pain scores ranging from -0.72 to -2.77. Meta-analysis results showed a non-significant reduction in pain intensity for ALA (P = 0.616) compared to that of placebo on a VAS of 0-10. Patients taking ALA were 1.923 times more likely to show an improvement in self-reported BMS symptoms (P = 0.031) than those in the placebo group. Clonazepam and pregabalin showed a significant VAS pain reduction of 4.08 and 4.68 (P < 0.001), respectively, compared to that with ALA. Although ALA intervention provided a non-significant improvement in the pain score and was more likely to produce a reduction in BMS symptoms, the evidence was of low quality. Further research is needed to establish clear guidelines for the use of ALA for BMS treatment.
Objective : This study aimed to identify the characteristics and analyze the quality of studies on memory improvement using a single-subject research design. Methods : Six studies were selected through the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), Korean Studies Information Service System (KISS), and National Digital Science Library (NDSL). Keywords were memory training, stroke, early dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and single-subject research design. The characteristics and quality levels were analyzed between January 2011 and October 2020. Results : Regarding the quality level, the middle level (7-10 points) was 66.7% of the four articles, and the high level (11-14 points) was 33.3% of the two articles. Reversal designs were used in all studies. Independent variables were errorless learning, smartphone application, cognitive training system (CoTras), spaced retrieval training (SRT) with errorless learning, spaced retrieval training, and iPad applications. The dependent variables included memory, attention, electroencephalogram, instrumental activities of daily living, depression etc., which increased after the intervention. The total session, study period, and intervention time were varied. Conclusion : In single-subject research design related to memory training, occupational therapy intervention was confirmed as an effective method for improving memory and attention. The quality level of single-subject research design was moderate or higher, and high-quality level of studies should be conducted by additional design to increase the validity in the future.
