In this study, the author applied the service design methodology to the university library to maximize the service value provided by the university library. To this end, the 'Double Diamond Model', a service design model, was applied to the university library, and service design tools such as Persona, Customer Journey Map, and Touch Points were utilized. To reflect on the service design in the university library, the author first reviewed the literature related to the subject and researched the previous studies. Then, the issue was discovered by questionnaire surveys, interviews with users and librarians, and field investigations. Based on this, Persona and situation scenarios were derived. In addition, after synthesizing Persona's situational behavior and user's emotional change, the study visualized the Customer Journey Map and suggested service improvement plans for 11 items in 3 areas. This study is focused on the process of deriving service improvement plans rather than improving a specific service. The purpose of this study was to improve university library service and to suggest new service plans. The significance of this study is that the practical service improvement plans were applied to the university library.

In collaborative filtering systems, the item rating prediction values calculated by the systems are very important for customer satisfaction with the recommendation list. In the time-aware system, predictions are calculated by reflecting the rating time of users, and in general, exponentially lower weights are assigned to past rating values. In this study, to find out whether the influence of rating time on the rating value varies according to various factors, the correlation between user rating value and rating time is investigated by the degree of user rating activity, the popularity of items, and item genres. As a result, using two types of public datasets, especially in the sparse dataset, significantly different correlation index values were obtained for each factor. Therefore, it is confirmed that the influence weight of the rating time on the rating prediction value should be set differently in consideration of the above-mentioned various factors as well as the density of the dataset.

As the video streaming service are supported by various devices, the amount of usage increases and efforts to improve the service from the viewpoint of users have continued. When a user watches a video, a response time occurs from input to playback, and if this response time becomes longer, the user's service satisfaction decreases. In this paper, we are proposing a method prefetching each user's preference video data obtained by analyzing user's past history record to the device for reducing the response time. We will show the result that prefetching data can improve the response time to 41% at most. And we analyzed real-video streaming viewing record and got each user's preferred video list. We investigated the change of response time according to a hit-ratio and amount of overhead data that was prefetched to the device, but not viewed. It was shown that as the hit-ratio grows bigger, the improvement of response time becomes more effective.

Recently, users' complaints on drinking water quality are increasing according to emerging interest in the drinking water service issues such as pipe aging and various water quality accidents. In the case of drinking water quality complaints, not only the water pollution but also the inconvenience on the chlorine residual for disinfection are included, thus various efforts, such as rechlorination treatment, are being attempted in order to keep the chlorine concentration supplied evenly. In this research, for a more accurate water quality simulation of water distribution network, the water quality reaction coefficients were estimated, and an optimization method of chlorination/ rechlorination scheduling was proposed consideirng satisfaction of water quality standards and chlorine residual equalization. The proposed method was applied to a large-scale real water network, and various chlorination schemes were comparatively analyzed through the grid search algorithm and optimized based on the suitability and uniformity of supplied chlorine residual concentration.

The purpose of the study was to provide an educational environment for designing and producing virtual reality practice contents that can be used in semiconductor production lines and clean rooms. Through this process, the user can acquire practical knowledge through experiences close to reality, such as experiencing the main semiconductor solar cell manufacturing facilities as well as procedural knowledge before and after entering the clean room.. In particular, it provides users with an immersion experience close to reality by creating an environment for experiential content necessary for semiconductor and solar cell manufacturing processes and clean room entrance procedure experiential content, which is expected to improve education immersion, realism, cost, efficiency, and education satisfaction. Depending on the characteristics of Dangerous, Impossible, Counter-productive etc, immersive content makes learners immersed in the learning content, induces proactive/active learning, and embodies the learning content, resulting in positive results in the field of improving educational effectiveness.

Many of the researchers have tried to enhance the satisfaction of both users and owners of social infrastructures by applying the asset management methodology. This study is to develop more efficient asset management framework for bridge management. Based on various literature review, an asset management procedure for bridge management was suggested, and appropriate practices at each step were given. The suggested procedures include the determination of operation and maintenance strategy, level of service, performance measure, valuation of assets, and decision-makings. In addition, this study suggests an applicable decision-making process for the resource distribution based on the management strategy.

This study investigates the influential factors on online word-of-mouth (eWOM) intentions towards educational tourist destinations, primarily focusing on Korean universities and Chinese tourists. It reveals a positive correlation between eWOM intentions and the desire to enroll in these institutions. The significance of eWOM for attracting Chinese students elucidates the importance of establishing a strong brand image and ensuring high levels of tourist satisfaction. Moreover, social media users who travel for education purposes were found to emphasize self-image consistency and conspicuous self-expression. This research underscores the utility of leveraging social media to enhance the perception of educational tourist attractions, promoting these destinations, and stimulating eWOM, thereby enriching the understanding of the strategic use of social media in international student recruitment.

This study aims to provide implications by exploring the experiences of elderly customers using smart wearable devices. The proportion of the elderly among all customers is increasing day by day, and they are gradually trying to use smart devices more actively and improve the quality of life. It is known that the elderly have difficulty using smart devices compared to the younger generation, but this study aims to identify psychological mechanisms in the use process to help the elderly users use related devices more conveniently and joyfully and to actively apply them to service and product development. In particular, theoretical and practical implications were provided by investigating the causal relationship between variables that play a major role in the process of using smart devices, such as convenience, fun, and challenge.

Although Due to industrial development and urbanization, the number of schools closing due to a decrease in the school-age population is increasing due to the phenomenon of relocation from farming and fishing villages. Closing schools are used as social and cultural facilities, or they are used to generate income by providing education and experiences. Agro-healing is an activity that promotes psychological, social, and physical health by using rural resources. By reflecting the Agro-healing in the services operated by the closed school, the perception of the provision of the Agro-healing service was investigated as a way to provide a therapeutic service to visitors and to increase the utilization of the closed school. The questionnaire consisted of 10 questions, a total of 5 questions related to demographic information, a total of 5 questions related to the perception of agro-healing activities in closed school facilities. As a result, 347 people participated in the survey. The higher the awareness of agro-healing, the need for a agro-healing expert, the satisfaction with the use of rural closed school facilities, and the willingness to participate in agro-healing activities, the higher the awareness that the provision of agro-healing services was necessary by the state. Theses results are expected to be useful as basic to data to solve the diverse limitation in rural closed school and agro-healing activities.

For the growth of the marine leisure industry, it is necessary to estimate economic value to review appropriate profitability in advance for the opening of new routes for marine leisure ships. This study aims to analyze the willingness to pay for new marine leisure ships for users of Gyeonggi sea and estimate the economic value. To this end, the amount of willingness to pay was estimated using the conditional value measurement method, and significant factors affecting the payment of usage fees were analyzed. As a result of the study, the average willingness to pay was estimated at KRW 25,510, and it was found that the factors such as "island visit experience" and "satisfaction with means of transportation" had a significant effect on the willingness to pay.
