탐색작업에서 한글 VDT를 화면의 최적설계 모수의 결정 (Determination of the Optimal Design Parameters for Search Task with VDT Screen Written in Korean)

  • There are four parameters (i.e. overall density, local density, grouping, layout complexity) to consider in designing screen of a visual display terminal. Among these, only the optimum level of overall density is known to be about 25~30% by some studies. Therefore, the present experiment is conducted to define the optimum levels of the other parameters to achieve the user's best performance in visual search task. The results are as follows; (1) The function related to the levels of local density and user's search times is shown to be U -shaped. When the level of local density is about 40%, the search time is shorter than those of any other levels. (2) In the experiment of grouping, user's performance is best when the number of group is 5, and the size of group does not exceed visual angle $5^{\circ}$ (0,088rad). (3) The user performance is improved as the layout becomes less complex.

Development of PC-based Radiation Therapy Planning System

  • The main principle of radiation therapy is to deliver optimum dose to tumor to increase tumor cure probability while minimizing dose to critical normal structure to reduce complications. RTP system is required for proper dose plan in radiation therapy treatment. The main goal of this research is to develop dose model for photon, electron, and brachytherapy, and to display dose distribution on patient images with optimum process. The main items developed in this research includes: (l) user requirements and quality control; analysis of user requirement in RTP, networking between RTP and relevant equipment, quality control using phantom for clinical application (2) dose model in RTP; photon, electron, brachytherapy, modifying dose model (3) image processing and 3D visualization; 2D image processing, auto contouring, image reconstruction, 3D visualization (4) object modeling and graphic user interface; development of total software structure, step-by-step planning procedure, window design and user-interface. Our final product show strong capability for routine and advance RTP planning.

Machine-Learning-Based User Group and Beam Selection for Coordinated Millimeter-wave Systems

  • In this paper, to improve spectral efficiency and mitigate interference in coordinated millimeter-wave systems, we proposes an optimal user group and beam selection scheme. The proposed scheme improves spectral efficiency by mitigating intra- and inter-cell interferences (ICI). By examining the effective channel capacity for all possible user combinations, user combinations and beams with minimized ICI can be selected. However, implementing this in a dense environment of cells and users requires highly complex computational abilities, which we have investigated applying multiclass classifiers based on machine learning. Compared with the conventional scheme, the numerical results show that our proposed scheme can achieve near-optimal performance, making it an attractive option for these systems.

지능적인 웹문서 분류를 위한 구조 및 프로세스 설계 연구 (A Study on Building Structures and Processes for Intelligent Web Document Classification)

  • This paper aims to offer a solution based on intelligent document classification to create a user-centric information retrieval system allowing user-centric linguistic expression. So, structures expressing user intention and fine document classifying process using EBL, similarity, knowledge base, user intention, are proposed. To overcome the problem requiring huge and exact semantic information, a hybrid process is designed integrating keyword, thesaurus, probability and user intention information. User intention tree hierarchy is build and a method of extracting group intention between key words and user intentions is proposed. These structures and processes are implemented in HDCI(Hybrid Document Classification with Intention) system. HDCI consists of analyzing user intention and classifying web documents stages. Classifying stage is composed of knowledge base process, similarity process and hybrid coordinating process. With the help of user intention related structures and hybrid coordinating process, HDCI can efficiently categorize web documents in according to user's complex linguistic expression with small priori information.

  • Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) is the core technology for improving the channel capacity compared to Single-User MIMO (SU-MIMO) by using multiuser gain and spatial diversity. Key problem for the MU-MIMO is the user selection which is the grouping the users optimally. To solve this problem, we adopt Extreme Value Theory (EVT) at the beginning of the proposed algorithm, which defines a primary user set instead of a single user that has maximum channel power according to a predetermined threshold. Each user in the primary set is then paired with all of the users in the system to define user groups. By comparing these user groups, the group that produces a maximum sum rate can be determined. Through computer simulations, we have found that the proposed method outperforms the conventional technique yielding a sum rate that is 0.81 bps/Hz higher when the transmit signal to noise ratio (SNR) is 30 dB and the total number of users is 100.

게임 특성이 게임포털 사이트에 대한 감정과 고객만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study for the Effects of Game Characteristics on Emotion and Customer Satisfaction in Game Portal Site)

  • 온라인 게임처럼 이용하는 동안 느끼는 재미에 가치를 두는 쾌락적 정보시스템에서는 감각적인 요소를 추구하게 되므로 감정적인 측면이 중요한 요인이 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 게임포털 사이트에서 게임 특성요인(재미요소, 도전감, 보상, 다양성)이 감정과 고객만족에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 온라인 게임, 감정, 고객만족과 관련된 선행연구들을 토대로 연구모형을 수립하였다. 본 연구의 실증연구를 위해서 온라인 게임포털 사이트를 사용해본 경험이 있는 개인을 대상으로 온 오프라인으로 설문조사를 실시하여 총 206부의 설문자료를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 검증된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 게임포털 사이트에서 게임 특성요인은 감정에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 게임특성은 사용자 만족에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 본 연구에서는 경사용자 집단과 중사용자 집단 간의 차이를 분석하였다. 게임포털 사이트 경사용자 집단에서 게임 특성요인은 감정에 긍정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 중사용자 집단의 게임특성은 도전감 만이 유의한 것으로 나타났다.

PLM 시스템 활용도 향상 방안의 중요도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Importance of Measures for Improving PLM System Usage)

  • Purpose This paper attempts to identify items for improving the usage of PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) systems and suggests ways to prioritize improvement items on the basis of importance. It also tries to find out differences in the importance of improvement items due to the company size, the industry, the job, or the PLM solution. Design/methodology/approach Through a survey from participants to a PLM System Conference, data were collected from a sample of 181 users who had the previous experience in using a PLM system. In order to figure out the differences in the importance among user groups, the F-test with the Scheffe test as a post-hoc analysis was used in case of equal variances and the Welch test with the Dunnett T3 test was used in case of unequal variances. Findings This study sorted out 25 improvement ideas according to their importance assessed by the PLM system users. The top five ideas are improving data consistency, error minimization, fast system response time, enhancing user recognition, and business process improvement. The support group puts higher importance than the general user group in data consistency, fast system response time, enhancing user recognition, business process improvement, dedicated team for data consistency, continuous support from management, hardware performance upgrade, output linkage to other systems, and shortening problem solving duration. The largest company group attaches significantly higher weights than the smallest company group to data consistency, error minimization, fast system response time, business process improvement, dedicated team for data consistency, security with proper access management, output linkage to other systems, and better user interface.

성인 인터넷 중독위험군의 MMPI-2 프로파일 연구 (Study on MMPI-2 Profile of Adults with Internet Addiction)

  • 본 연구에서는 MMPI-2를 활용하여 인터넷 중독위험군의 임상적 성격특성을 조사하고, MMPI-2 검사가 인터넷 중독위험군에 대한 진단, 평가 및 개입에 활용될 수 있는가에 대해 논의하였다. MMPI-2 척도에서 중독위험군과 일반사용자군의 차이가 있는지를 검증하였고, 보충척도 중에 물질관련 척도인 MAC-R, AAP, AAS 척도가 인터넷 중독위험군과 일반사용자를 구분할 수 있는가를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 인터넷중독 전문상담기관을 방문한 인터넷중독위험군 39명과 일반사용자군 21명의 MMPI-2 특성을 분석한 결과, 임상척도에서 D, Pa, Pt, Sc, Si 척도에서 집단 간 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 특히, 인터넷중독위험군에서 D, Pt, Si 척도가 높은 상승을 보여, 우울, 강박, 내향성이 높게 나타났다. 보충척도 MAC-R, AAS, APS 척도에서는 인터넷중독 집단과 일반사용자 집단 간에 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 이는, 보충척도로는 인터넷 중독위험군을 선별해 낼 수 없으며, 인터넷중독 진단을 위한 새로운 척도 개발이 필요함을 시사한다.

충북지역 소아 청소년 한의 치료에 대한 인식 및 만족도 조사 - 보호자 대상 설문 연구 (A Survey on the Perception and Satisfaction of Korean Medicine in Children and Youth in Chungcheongbuk-do - A Survey of Parents)

  • Objectives This study aimed to identify the current status and satisfaction with Korean medicine treatment and analyze the perceptions of parents about Korean medicine treatment in children. Methods A Web survey (Moaform) was conducted with 52 parents whose children used Korean medicine and 53 parents who did not. We investigated the reasons why the user group chose treatment and satisfaction with each treatment and why the non-user group did not choose the treatment. Results Children in the user group were frequently prescribed herbal medicines (decoctions) and acupuncture. However, they showed low satisfaction in terms of fear of acupuncture and dissatisfaction with the unique taste of herbal medicine. Non-user parents had a favorable opinion of Korean medicine, but had relatively negative perceptions about whether their children were willing to visit in the future. Conclusions Parents who used Korean medicine for their children had positive perceptions and trust in Korean medicine. However, those who did not use Korean medicine were concerned about the safety and potential harm of its application to their children.

블록 체인 기반의 다중 그룹 요소를 이용한 사용자 프라이버시 관리 모델 (User Privacy management model using multiple group factor based on Block chain)

  • IT 기술 중 빅 데이터와 인터넷 기술이 급속하게 발달함에 따라 중요 데이터를 USB와 같은 외부 저장장치에 저장하지 않고도 인터넷이 연결되어 있는 곳이면 어디든지 클라우드 환경에 저장된 데이터를 사용할 수 있는 환경으로 바뀌어 가고 있다. 그러나, 클라우드 환경에서 처리되는 데이터가 손쉽게 일반 사용자들이 처리할 수 있는 환경으로 바꿔가면서 사용자의 프라이버시 정보에 대한 보호의 중요성이 점점 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 환경에서 사용되는 정보를 제3자에게 노출시키지 않으면서 사용자의 서비스 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 관리 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델은 다양한 클라우드 환경에서 처리되고 있는 데이터들 중에서 사용자의 프라이버시 정보를 제3자가 악의적으로 처리하지 못하도록 사용자 그룹을 가상의 환경으로 그룹핑한 후 identity 속성과 접근제어 정책을 블록 체인으로 처리한다. 특히, 클라우드 환경에서 처리되는 데이터의 처리 효율성에 대한 성능을 향상시키기 위해서 개인 정보와 계산 집약적인 암호 정책은 오프 체인에서 실행하도록 하였다.
