Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, inhibits voltage-dependent K+ channels in coronary arterial smooth muscle cells

  • We demonstrated the effect of nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant drug and serotonin reuptake inhibitor, on voltage-dependent $K^+$ (Kv) channels in freshly isolated rabbit coronary arterial smooth muscle cells using a whole-cell patch clamp technique. Nortriptyline inhibited Kv currents in a concentration-dependent manner, with an apparent $IC_{50}$ value of $2.86{\pm}0.52{\mu}M$ and a Hill coefficient of $0.77{\pm}0.1$. Although application of nortriptyline did not change the activation curve, nortriptyline shifted the inactivation current toward a more negative potential. Application of train pulses (1 or 2 Hz) did not change the nortriptyline-induced Kv channel inhibition, suggesting that the effects of nortiprtyline were not use-dependent. Preincubation with the Kv1.5 and Kv2.1/2.2 inhibitors, DPO-1 and guangxitoxin did not affect nortriptyline inhibition of Kv channels. From these results, we concluded that nortriptyline inhibited Kv channels in a concentration-dependent and state-independent manner independently of serotonin reuptake.

스마트폰을 대상으로 한 휴리스틱 및 프로스펙트 효과 분석: 프레이밍, 보유효과 및 조절초점 이론을 중심으로 (Analysis of the Heuristic Theory and the Prospect Theory for Smartphones: Focusing on Framing, Endowment Effect and Regulatory Focus Theory)

  • Purpose - In the present study, it has become the most important necessity in our daily lives that consumers' psychological factors affect the use of smartphones, and it has been analyzed through behavioral economic approaches. In this respect, the present study is intended to apply the heuristic theory and the prospect theory among behavioral economics theories to examine how psychological factors affect consumers' product selection. Research design, data, and methodology - In the present study, using smartphone repurchase as a dependent variable, whether regulatory focus effects have interaction effects on behavioral economic theories and behavioral economic effects such as possession (ownership) effects, framing effects, and brand recollection. As an analysis method, questionnaire surveys conducted with university students in Incheon were examined through Two-Way ANOVAs using the SPSS23 package. Results - The analysis from the results are as follows. Using smartphone repurchase as a dependent variable, the main effects and interaction effects on two variables; satisfaction difference with product functions and positive framing variable were statistically significant. Using repurchase as a dependent variable was statistically significant, there was no interaction effect between the two variables; satisfaction difference with product functions and the difference of brands in possession. Using smartphone repurchase as a dependent variable, interaction effects on two variables; satisfaction difference with product functions and the lengths of product possession periods were not statistically significant. The results from the analyses of interaction effects of brand recollection and brands type were statistically significant in possession using repurchase as a dependent variable. The results from the analyses of the main effect of the brands type were statistically significant in possession using repurchase as a dependent variable. Conclusions - The implication of the present study is that it suggests the factors that became important for customers' smartphone purchase following the change in the meaning of smartphones from practical products in the past to hedonic products. Limitations of the present study are first, the study subjects are limited to students and the number of copies in questionnaires is only approximately 130, which is insufficient, so that the present study is not sufficient as a study for entire smartphone users.

다항식비례모형을 이용한 위성영상의 활용에 관한 연구 (Application of Satellite Image Using RFM)

  • 다항식비례모형(Rational Function Model)은 센서의 종류에 상관없이 적용이 가능한 범용적 모델이다. 다항식비례모형계수를 결정하기 위해서는 고르게 분포된 다수의 지상기준점이 필요한데 기준점의 취득 방법에 따라 크게 terrain-independent solution과 terrain-dependent solution 두 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 최근에 이루어진 대부분의 연구는 terrain-independent solution에 집중되어 있다. 그러나 비전문가 집단에서의 위성영상 활용성을 증가시키기 위해서는 terrain-dependent solution 방법을 적용한 정확도 향상에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 이번 연구에서는 KOMPSAT 입체영상에 대하여 terrain-dependent solution을 이용해 다항식비례모형계수를 구하였으며 상관도 분석을 통해 정확도를 향상시켰다. 또한 이를 이용해 영상정합을 수행하고 수치고도모형을 생성하였다. 엄밀 센서모델을 통해 제작한 수치고도모형과 비교해 정확도를 검증해본 결과 두 수치고도모형사이에 각각의 방향별로 dx=18.11m, dy=32.29m, dz=34.58m의 표준편차를 나타내었다. 또한 서로 다른 위성영상으로부터 상관도 분석을 통해 다항식비례모형계수를 구하고 3차원 위치결정을 한 후 검사점과 비교하여 정확도를 분석한 결과 수평방향의 평균오차는 dx=13.08m, dy=18.12m 이고 수직평균오차는 23.75m를 나타내었다.

QRIS as a Drivers of Product Distribution Flows in Indonesia: Factors of Consumer Purchasing Behavior in the Use of Fintech Payments

  • Purpose: Consumers can experience better service for distribution of products with payment technology such as QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) compared to conventional purchase methods. This research aims to determine the experience of QRIS service users in Indonesia. Perceived Usefulness, Ease of Use, and Perceived Security were independent factors. Behavioral Intention to Use is the dependent variable. Furthermore, Word of Mouth Attitude is an intervening variable. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: Involving active QRIS users in a survey-based quantitative study in Indonesia. A survey sample of 400 people was taken from data records of 30.87 million QRIS users in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. Results: Show that Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use significantly impact Attitudes Word of Mouth, and Behavioral Intention to Use. This research also found that Behavioral Intention to Use does not significantly impact Perceived Security. Conclusion: QRIS, as a revolutionary innovation, offers faster payments than previous methods, with a payment time of no more than one minute. QRIS is seen as valuable, simple, and safe, disseminating information to the public and continuing to use QRIS. The implications of this research are very significant in accelerating the flow of distribution of goods and services and facilitating transactions.

Waist-to-height ratio as a screening tool for obesity and cardiometabolic risk

  • The waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), calculated by dividing the waist circumference (WC) by height, has recently gained attention as an anthropometric index for central adiposity. It is an easy-to-use and less age-dependent index to identify individuals with increased cardiometabolic risk. A WHtR cutoff of 0.5 can be used in different sex and ethnic groups and is generally accepted as a universal cutoff for central obesity in children (aged ${\geq}6$ years) and adults. However, the WHtR has not been validated in preschool children, and the routine use of WHtR in children under age 6 is not recommended. Prospective studies and meta-analysis in adults revealed that the WHtR is equivalent to or slightly better than WC and superior to body mass index (BMI) in predicting higher cardiometabolic risk. In children and adolescents, studies have shown that the WHtR is similar to both BMI and WC in identifying those at an increased cardiometabolic risk. Additional use of WHtR with BMI or WC may be helpful because WHtR considers both height and central obesity. WHtR may be preferred because of its simplicity and because it does not require sex- and age-dependent cutoffs; additionally, the simple message 'keep your WC to less than half your height' may be particularly useful. This review article summarizes recent publications on the usefulness of using WHtR especially when compared to BMI and WC as a screening tool for obesity and related cardiometabolic risks, and recommends the use of WHtR in clinical practice for obesity screening in children and adolescents.

국내 숙박 O2O서비스의 재이용 의도에 미치는 영향요인 분석 (Analysis of Influence Factors on the Intention to Reuse O2O Service in Domestic Accommodation)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to gradually increase the use of O2O services in recent years. It is a part of our daily lives, and accommodation/leisure is a part of the growing use of O2O services. Based on various prior research related to O2O service, the Commission intends to establish the justification and necessity of empirical research and to establish the relationship between O2O service impact factors and practical value, customer satisfaction and reuse intention. Design/methodology/approach This study analyzed what factors affected the intention of re-use of domestic accommodation O2O services. This research model was proposed based on the preceding research paper, and reliability, diversity, economics, leisure, safety and personalization were used as independent variables, practical value and customer satisfaction are parameters, and reuse intent is composed of dependent variables. Within the last year, users of domestic accommodation applications were selected as users who used domestic accommodation applications more than once, and data of domestic accommodation application users were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs. Findings The results of this study show that economic efficiency, safety and personalization have significant effects on practical values in the relationship between O2O service impact factors and their impact on practical values. On the other hand, reliability, diversity and leisure were found to have no significant impact on practical values. In terms of O2O service impact factors and their impact on customer satisfaction, leisure and safety have significant effects on customer satisfaction. On the other hand, reliability, diversity, economics, and individualization have shown no significant impact on customer satisfaction. Practical values, parameters, customer satisfaction, and re-use intent, which are dependent variables, were also shown to have significant effects on practical values and customer satisfaction in the relationship.

마약류 의존자 치료재활 서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 개인적 특성에 관한 연구 (Population Characteristics Influencing Treatment Service Use among Individuals with Drug Dependency)

  • 본 연구는 자발적으로 마약류 의존 치료재활 서비스를 이용하고 있는 한국 성인남녀를 대상으로 그들의 서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 개인적 특성을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있으며, 이론적 틀로 건강서비스 이용행태 분석에 널리 사용되는 Andersen의 '건강서비스이용 행동모형'을 활용하였다. 연구참여자 모집의 어려움으로 유의표집을 통해 조사된 80명의 자료를 분석에 활용하였으며, 분석방법으로 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, '학력(선행요인)'이 높을수록 현재 이용하는 치료재활 서비스 수가 많으며, '동료의존자의 지지(자원요인)'가 클수록 현재 이용하는 치료재활 서비스 수도 많고 향후 지속적으로 서비스를 이용할 의사도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 의존자들이 느끼는 '인지된 욕구(욕구요인)'가 클수록 입원 입소 경향이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 엔더슨모형에 의하면 우리나라 마약류 의존자 치료재활 서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인은 매우 제한적이며, 또한 서비스 이용의 형평성도 낮은 것을 알 수 있다.

국내 기업의 인트라넷 수용특성에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on Factors Influencing the Acceptance of Intranet in Korean Companies)

  • Individual adoption and sustained usage of information technology(IT) are crucial prerequisites for exploiting IT as integral components of organizational work. Previous studies on technology adoption in workplace suggest that acceptance behavior is influenced by a variety of factors such as individual differences, social influences, beliefs, attitudes, and situational influences. In this paper, we introduce a research model to predict the usage behavior of intranet in workplace and also explain the causal relationships among variables. Based on the survey of 333 intranet users, this study uses structural equation model with LISREL 8.12. This study suggests several major results from surveys and analysis from them. Perceived use is influenced by intranet experience, task equivocality, organizational support, and perceived ease of use, Experience and organizational support determine perceived ease of use. Task equivocality, task interdependence, and organizational support have positive effects on subjective norm. On the other hand, present usage, which is a dependent variable in this model, is influenced by perceived use, experience, task interdependence, and organizational support.

  • The purpose of this study is to categorize group of firms by using characteristics of technical innovation in telecommunication industry and to identify relationships between types of technical innovation and such contingency factors of technical innovation. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows; First, Type 1 Group (Innovative Industry Leading Group) tends to use innovative and market differentiation strategy and has more innovative C.E.O's management style and innovative culture. Second, Type 2 Group (Dependent Group on Market Change) tends to use market differentiation or cost leadership strategy and has a more conservative C.E.O's management style and non-innovative culture. Third, Type 3 Group (Small Technology Intensive Group) tends to use focused innovative strategy and has a more innovative C.E.O's management style and innovative culture. Fourth, Type 4 Group (Non-Innovative Group) tends to use focused cost leadership strategy and has a more conservative C.E.O's management style and non-innovative culture.

약물남용의 재발 예방을 위한 인지행동접근법의 효과성 (Effectiveness of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to Prevent Relapse of Substance Abuse)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy to prevent relapse of substance abuse. A total of 8 substance abusing adult clients participated in the program. All the clients were charged with substance use at the time of implementing the program. Two master's level social workers operated the program, which was implemented in a probation office in Seoul. This study included Beliefs about substance use, abstinence self-efficacy, and coping skills as dependent variables in order to investigate the effectiveness. Cognitive-behavioral therapy emphasizes the enhancement of these cognitive and behavioral skills to prevent relapse of substance use. Research hypotheses were partially supported. That is, clients participated in the program had more negative attitude toward substance use and had more effective problem-focused coping skills. Although a research hypothesis of the enhancement of clients' self efficacy was not supported, their mean scores at the final post test were lower than scores at pretest. This study suggests that more studies be needed to in order to confirm the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy with substance abusing clients.
