The Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) proposed by Davis(1989) has been applied as a reliable and robust model in the study of user’s adoption of different technologies. However it is necessary to incorporate additional constructs to the original model in the quest for increased predictive power. This study investigate consumer’s acceptance of smart clothing applied by the extended TAM. Besides perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, clothing involvement is included in the extended TAM. Data were collected from the adults over 20 years old living in Seoul and other metropolitan areas from March 2 to March 12, 2009. 815 copies of data were analyzed to examine a structural model and test research hypotheses using AMOS package. The study showed the extended TAM for smart clothing was validated empirically in predicting the individual’s acceptance of smart clothing and 5 hypotheses among 7 hypotheses were supported. Specifically, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and clothing involvement were the factors affecting attitude toward smart clothing. Attitude toward smart clothing was influenced directly by perceived usefulness and clothing involvement but influenced indirectly by perceived ease of use. Acceptance intention toward smart clothing was influenced strongly by attitude. From a theoretical point of view, the study extended the TAM for smart clothing. Moreover, this study would be beneficial for those who would develop smart clothing by providing information about attitude and acceptance intention of smart clothing consumers.
Objectives : Ma-huang (Ephedra sinica) is frequently prescribed for obesity management in oriental medicine. The main component is ephedrine alkaloids which can have serious adverse side effects such as heart attack, stroke, sudden death. There are no scientific guidelines for Ma-huang usage in the safe treatment of obesity in oriental medicine. We reviewed published studies on its safety to make evidence based guidelines. Methods : We searched electronic databases up to May 2006. We limited evidence to controlled trials for efficacy or safety, case reports for safety, and studies for Ma-huang contents analysis. Results and Conclusions : In clinical trials for weight loss, Ma-huang and ephedrine promote modest short-term weight loss but have no serious adverse effects, have only a few adverse effects associated with increased risk of psychiatric, autonomic, gastrointestinal symptoms and heart palpitations. In case reports, there have been serious adverse effects including stroke, heart attack, and death using typical doses of ephedrine or no associated illness. There are factors related to serious adverse effects, such as overuse, lack of standardization, individual sensitivity, and interactions with other drugs. Studies relating to these factors should be analyzed for safe use of Ma-huang and ephedrine. After analyzing related studies, we suggest guidelines for Ma-huang usage. We propose that the dosage should be within 4.5-7.5g per day for up to 6 months for generally healthy individual. It's use is contraindicated in individuals with heart disease, thyroid disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, psychiatric disorders, glaucoma, urination disorders, enlarged prostate, persons using MAOIs, methyldopa and sympathomimetic agents.
The purpose sof this study was to examine consumer's addictive buying through the TV home shopping, focused on materialism, show host and credit card use consumer. Two hundred four female consumers who had purchased fashion items in TV home shopping had participated for this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, and multiple regression were used for the study with SPSS 12.0 program. The result were as follows. First, the addictive buying group was 13.2% among respondents while non-addictive buying group was 86.8%. Second, materialism was classified into 3 factors: happiness, success and possessiveness. Show host was classified into 3 factors such as visual presentation, image and communication skill. Credit card was classified into 3 factors: sales promotion, late payment and method payment. Results of multiple regression revealed that happiness and possessiveness from materialism, credit card late payment, and show host communication skill were significantly related to addictive buying. Based on these results, this study would provide fashion marketing strategies for reasonable and reasonable consuming culture, since addictive buying has been not only individual problem but also social problem. The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of flow in the quality of customizing e-services and customer loyalty, with a view to providing a realistic strategy for the development of fashion customizing services. For this study, a total of 489 adult women in their 20s and older participated in a survey, and the responses were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 . The findings of the analysis were as follows. First, the ease of use, privacy, individual designs, order status, and accuracy of orders, which were the factors of fashion customizing e-service quality, had a significant and positive impact on flow. Second, the ease of use, order status, and order accuracy, which were the factors of fashion customizing e-service quality, had a significant and positive impact on customer loyalty. Third, the flow of the fashion customizing service had a significant and positive impact on customer loyalty. Fourth, in the relationship between fashion customizing e-service quality and customer loyalty, flow had a significant mediating effect. The findings of this study are expected to be useful data for the fashion industry providing a set of criteria for optimized customizing e-services for customers.
If we observe the formation of communities of people and participation methods within them, we can see that those communities are developing more efficiently due to the penetration of smart phones and the growth of SNS. This trend also has an impact on information sharing activity between people and enables more active information sharing than ever before. But information sharing on SNS does not just involve the SNS users sharing information with each other. Important factors affecting the information sharing activities include the type of relationship between the users and the attitude of the information sharing individuals. Accordingly, this study selected perceived social support, perceived social influence, and perceived network structure as the factors that affect the continuous intention of people to use SNS, and performed a higher order factor analysis on those factors. Between continuous intention to use SNS and intention to share information, we selected relationship quality and information sharing behavior and executed a path analysis between the factors. We carried out an empirical analysis by utilizing SPSS 18.0 and SmartPLS 2.0 as analysis tools. Using these tools, we investigated the factors influencing continuous intention to use SNS, and tested the significance between the role and path of relationship quality and information sharing behavior between continuous intention to use SNS and intention to share information.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify personal factors, social factors, and environmental factors related to physical activity in older adults in urban and non-urban areas. Methods: We used source data from the 2017 Community Health Survey. The subjects of this study included some older adults aged 65 and over, and analyzed the data of 23,043 older adults living in the urban and 34,063 older adults living in the non-urban area. Results: The common factors influencing physical activity in older adults by region include current smoking and drinking, BMI, sleep duration, and subjective health status, help with neighbors, frequency of meeting with neighbors and friends, participation in social and leisure activities, and falls experience (p<.001). However, the living environment, public transport satisfaction, and medical service use significantly associated with physical activity for only older adults living in the urban area (p<.001). Conclusion: In order to improve physical activity in older adults in the community, it is necessary to consider not only the improvement of individual factors that practice health behaviors but also health promotion strategies that take into account social and environmental factors because there are environmental differences among regions.
With the development of information technology (IT), various information systems (IS) such as Web-based systems and mobile systems have appeared utilizing different technologies. However, recent studies on IS use and user satisfaction rarely account for technological differences among IS and environmental characteristics where IS are intended to be used. The purpose of this research is to investigate the determinants of the use of Web-based ticketing systems for cultural activities and to empirically validate their relationships. Environmental psychology suggests that human beings respond to external stimuli from environments with their emotions, and their emotional states influence human actions, e.g., IS use in this research. Applying environmental psychology to the use of Web-based systems in the culture and entertainment industry, we propose that web site characteristics first influence a user's internal state of mind (i.e., flow) and then the flow state influences the IS use. Studies related to the state of flow collectively affirm the key role played by the flow construct in shaping individual attitudes and behaviors toward IS. Users' flow states are captured by their shopping enjoyment, perceived behavioral control, and the level of concentration on the IS use. Referring to social presence theory, we have included such web site characteristics as content quality, context of web site, and community quality. In our research model, a second order construct is utilized to represent web site quality, because flow theory suggests that holistic experiences with web-based systems (rather than individual characteristics of the web site) are important in explaining the IS use. Further, we have included trust as another important factor influencing the IS use since business transactions on the web encompass higher uncertainty comparing to offline transactions. In order to test our hypotheses, we have conducted an online survey which results in 1,141 valid responses in the final sample. The data were collected from respondents who have experiences in Internet ticketing systems. Although it was a convenient sample, the sample represents a wide variety of user demographics. Validity and reliability of the research instrument were tested and research hypotheses were examined using PLS Graph 3.0. The results indicate that web site characteristics significantly influence the level of user concentration, user's enjoyment in shopping, and perceived behavioral control. Further, the use of Internet ticketing systems is influenced by users' flow states and trust in the web channel. User satisfaction is turned out to be affected by the use of Internet ticketing systems. Unlike extant research on the relationship between web site characteristics and its use, our study has found that, in the culture and entertainment industry, the impact of web site characteristics on IS use is mediated by a user's flow state. This finding has a practical implication that web site design should include as many features that enhance shopping enjoyment and concentration. Other practical implications of these findings and future research implications are also discussed.
The purpose of this study is to determine abusive supervision and its effect on the resistance to such behavior by workers, and also to determine the moderating roles of subordinate's personalities that can strengthen or weaken the relationship between the abusive supervision and employee behaviors. Because the key factors underlying the choice of individual OCB(Organizational Citizenship Behavior) or organizational OCB have to do with subordinates' concern for the task and relational consequences of their behavior, the analysis focused on Neuroticism, the Big Five domains that represent one's orientations toward task and relational matters, respectively(Costa & McCrae, 1992). For empirical study, survey was performed for the analysis, and a total of 233 was used. The following is a summary of the verification results. First, in the relationships between the use of abusive supervision and employee's OCB, the relationship is negatively correlated to the abusive supervision. Second, moderating effects of subordinates' personalities(neuroticism) between abusive supervision and subordinates' were not verified. Finally, future research will explore the effects of situational variables that affect the extent to which supervisors engage in abusive behavior and how subordinates respond to abusive supervision.

Objectives: This study is to draw the design of the program which is improve school health promotion participation by applying the Social Ecological Model based on the literature review on the health promotion. Methods: Literature review was carried out based on 5 factors of social ecological model using computer search engines of Google, ProQuest, and Riss4U. Results; Social Ecological Model is consist of individual, interpersonal, institutional/organizational, community, and policy. Individual sphere is drawn from Health Belief Model, interpersonal sphere is Social Support Theory, institutional/ organizational sphere is institutional resources theory, community sphere is community model, and policy sphere is Social Marketing Theory. The literature review show that the important variables affecting health promotion exist in each sphere. Individual sphere has social economic status, age, sex, sensitivity and specificity of illness, self-efficacy. Interpersonal sphere has support and use of family, friend and neighbor. Institutional/Organizational sphere has environment service reliability and utility. Conclusions: Community sphere has distance, neighborhood safety, interrelationship among institutions. Policy sphere has cost, legislation advertisement, lobby and concern and leadership of Institution.
Purpose: The present study is focused on understanding weight perception related with individual- and school-level multifactorial origins, underestimated and overestimated respectively, in normal body weight adolescents. Methods: Using the 2017 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey data of 45,902 students from 799 secondary schools, a multilevel multinomial logistic regression analysis was performed where adolescents (level1) were nested within schools (level 2). Results: At the school level, the average school body mass index (BMI, $kg/m^2$) and physical education were associated with weight perception among both boys and girls. In boys, geographic areas were associated with weight underestimation. At the individual level, perceived economic status, weekly allowance, BMI ($kg/m^2$), smartphone usage time (hrs/day) and perceived stress were associated with weight perception among both boys and girls. Age, paternal education, academic achievement and alcohol use were associated with weight perception among girls, while part-time job and physical activity were associated with weight perception among boys. Conclusion: Our findings underscore the importance of individual- and school-level environments in developing correct weight perception and have implications for school health education to establish healthy lifestyle behaviors for all adolescents.
