  • In this paper, we propose an effective method to block illegal gambling advertisement on social media. With the increase of smartphone and internet usage, users can easily access various information while sharing information such as text and video with a large number of others. In addition, illegal sports gambling advertisements are also continue to be transmitted on SNS. To avoid most surveillance networks, users are easily exposed to illegal sports gambling advertisement images by including phrases in the images that indicate illegal sports gambling advertisements. In order to cope with these problems, we proposed a method to actively block illegal sports gambling advertisements in a way different from the conventional passive methods. In this paper, we select words frequently used for illegal sports gambling, classifies them into three groups according to their importance, calculate WF for each word using weighted formula by degree of relevance and frequency, and then sum the WF of the words in the image. Blocking, warning, and passing were determined by cv, the total of WF. Experimenting with the proposed method, 193 out of 200 experimental images were correctly judged with 96.5% accuracy, and even though 7 images were illegal sports gambling advertisements. Further research is needed to block 3.5% of illegal sports betting ads that cannot be blocked in the future.

  • This study analyzed the impact of ICT usage on elementary and secondary school students on the result of ICT literacy levels for finding out why most of students were 'normal' or 'basic'. As a result, we found out that the learning action, information searching and leisure action of student using ICT had correlation with ICT literacy level. The higher the rate using ICT for learning, information searching and leisure, the higher the ICT literacy level of student. But the higher the rate using ICT for communication, the lower the ICT literacy level of student. Accordingly, we proposed the policy not to increase simply ICT using of student, but to teach how to use ICT for learning and information searching.

  • The rise in recent technology has changed the ways, in which people communicate with one another. Social networking services (SNSs) have become one of the most representative means. General SNSs allow users to create their own unique profiles, search for fellow members, share information, etc., while other SNSs have functions that cater to different needs of users. As a result, users of SNSs have begun to pick and choose different SNSs and concurrently use multiple SNSs in order to fulfill all their needs. This exploratory study examined which SNSs are used together and the characteristics that predict the use of multiple SNSs. In addition, it observed the differences between consumers' usage of multiple SNSs in different cultures. An online survey was administered to SNS users in the United States and Korea. The results of the study showed that the use of multiple SNSs is not yet prevalent in Korea, the country that represented a collectivistic culture. In addition, in the U.S., the highest number of users reported that they were active on at least three SNSs.

  • Primarily working on SNS(Social Network Service) platform, the SNG(Social Network Game) utilizes friends and neighbors for invitation and play. Based on the value model of HCI, this paper purports to discover how functional, hedonic, social and personal values predict the continuous usage intention and satisfaction of SNG in a smartphone. Hypothesis testing through structural equation modeling shows that hedonic and functional values affect satisfaction and intention to use of SNG while social and personal values do not. This result implies that fun and easy interface are more important to the success of SNG service than social networking motivation.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between depression due to the COVID-19 pandemic and park use behaviors using on line posts. During the period of the pandemic prevention activities, text data containing both 'park' and 'depression' were collected from blogs and cafes in the search engine of Naver and Daum, then analyzed using Text Mining and Social Network techniques. As a result, the main usage behaviors of park users who mentioned depression were 'look', 'stroll(walk)' and 'eat'. Other types of behaviors were connected centering around 'look', one of the communication behaviors. Also, from CONCOR analysis, as the cluster referred from communication behavior and dynamic behavior was formed as a single behavior type, it was considered park users with depression perceived the park as the space for communication and physical activities. As the spread of COVID-19 caused the restriction of communication activities, the users might consider parks as one of the solutions. In addition, it was considered that passive usage behaviors have prevailed rather than active ones due to the depression. Resulting outcomes would be useful to plan helpful urban park for citizens. It is necessary to further analyze the park use behavior of users in relation to the period of before/after the COVID-19 pandemic and the existence/nonexistence of depression.
