도농통합시의 지속가능한 개발을 위한 지역특성 분석 (An Analysis of the Regional Characteristics in Agropolitan Cities for Sustainable Development)

  • 도시와 농촌간의 균형 있는 발전을 유도하기 위해서 탄생된 도농통합시는 지역특성을 고려하지 않은 무분별한 개발양상으로 인해 지역적 불균형이 더욱 심화되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 경상북도의 도농통합시를 대상으로 지속가능한 공간계획을 수립하기 위한 선행연구로서 지역특성 및 유형화 분석을 수행하고자 하였다. 먼저, 지역특성을 규명하기 위해서 인구규모, 농업구조, 생활환경 등이 반영된 변수들을 중심으로 인자분석을 적용한 결과, 개발지향적 인자, 농업적 인자, 생활환경적 인자, 미작적 인자, 과수적 인자가 추출되었고, 지역유형은 과수농업중심형, 중 소규모 농업형, 과소 침체 농촌형, 도시화 진행형, 도시 농촌 혼재형, 동남부해안 공업형으로 군집화되었으며, 지역유형구분의 신뢰도를 통계적으로 검증하기 위해 판별분석을 적용한 결과, 제II, V, VI유형은 100%이고, 나머지 유형은 90%정도의 신뢰도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.

지방중소도시의 지역발전투자협약 추진체계 구축제언 - 영주시 공공건축가제도를 중심으로 - (A Proposal for an Organizational System that Implements a Planning Agreement in Local Small and Medium Sized City -Focused on System of Architect for Public Work of Yeongju City)

  • This research aimed to propose an organizational system that implements a planning agreement in local small and medium sized city, Korea. To conduct this research, three successful cases were deduced using integration systems to investigate purpose and background of the planning agreement. Articles, reports, media, and participation in meetings and workshops related on this topic are used for collecting data and interview of regional activists and experts, and public officials were carried out. Among them, the case of Yeongju city that used the new integration system instead of pre-adminstration system was examined in detail. There are three local governments; Yeongwol-gun, Jeungpyeong-gun, and Yeongju city which have successfully fulfilled projects from various departments of central adminstration not projects of planning agreement. The similarity noticed between those three cases is to continue various projects from several departments of central adminstration for numerous years and contribute to regional revitalization. A successful factor was to establish organizational system and manage it for the integration plan and performance for appropriate regional and administrative characteristics. In particular, in the case of Yeongju city, organization for urban architectural management composed of civilian experts were formed, authorized status on administrative organization was established, and the function and role were identified. It is helpful to other local governments to carry out the projects of planning agreement as the case of Yeongju city is now a new method.

PLS 회귀분석을 통한 서울디지털산업단지 이용자 만족도 영향요인 규명 (Presumed Influence Factors of User Satisfaction of Seoul Digital Industrial Complex using PLS-Regression Model)

  • 국내의 산업단지는 노후화와 환경문제 등으로 인하여 점점 더 경쟁력을 상실하고 있는 실정이다. 첨단산업단지로의 재편을 위해 공공 및 환경디자인의 질적 향상과 경쟁력 강화를 위한 방향성 정립이 시의적으로 필요하다. 본 연구는 서울디지털산업단지의 이용자 만족도에 영향을 미치는 계획요인을 PLS 회귀모형을 통해 규명하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 총 32개의 계획요인 중 중요도(VIP)값이 1.0 이상으로 매우 의미 있는 디자인 계획요인이 12개로 나타났으며, 0.9~1.0 사이의 비교적 중요한 계획요인이 8개로 도출되었다. 이들 계획요인은 디자인개선사업 시행 시 정량적 우선순위를 가늠할 수 있는 전략적 디자인 계획요인으로 판단할 수 있으며, 서울디지털산업단지의 경쟁력 강화에도 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

랜드마크의 영향력 범위와 인지요인과의 관계 (A Study on the Relationship between Influential Range and Cognition Factor of Landmark)

  • This study investigated the influential range of landmarks and the relationship between landmarks and cognition factor so as to offer basic data to be used for the effective use and the management of landmarks. In this study, eighteen famous landmark in Seoul were selected and analyzed. The result of this study can be summarized as follows : 1) First, eighteen determining elements of cognition factors were selected via documents survey. Second, general cognition factors of landmarks were analysed using these elements through questionnaires to specialists. As a result of factor analysis, historic cultural factor, scale factor, visual form factor, locational factor and uniqueness factor were revealed. 2) According to revealed cognition factor, eighteen landmarks are categorized into four types using MDS method via questionnaire to resident in Seoul city. These four types of landmarks are: type I that are recognized by historic cultural factor; type II that are recognized by scale factor; type III that are recognized by uniqueness factor; and type IV that are recognized by visual form factor. 3) As the result of regression, the influential range of landmarks were revealed at about a 10km radius(type I : 12km type II : whole area of Seoul city≒15km, typeIII : 8.7km, typeIV : 8.5km). 4) As a result of analysing the correlation between the influential range and the cognition factor through multiple linear regression analysis, the locational factor is the main factor affecting the influential range of landmarks in every type. The uniqueness factor comes next, which affects influential range partially. 5) Except type 1, as a result of analysing the correlation between influential range and the physical heights of landmarks, a quadratic equation is revealed, showing that the influential range of landmarks over 200 meters in height shows a radical change. Landmarks can be used as reinforcement tools of legibility, effective tools for landscape management and for the improvement of a community's image. This study on the influential range of landmarks and main cognition factor can be utilized as a landmark management plan and in urban planning, such as a new town plan.

도시 취업주부의 가계재무관리행동과 경제복지감 (A Study of Urban Employed Wives무 Family Financial Management and Economic Well-Being)

  • The family financial management is the important element which has a effect on the improvement of family economic well-being. Thus the study sets up human & material resources and requirement as an input factor, family financial management as an throughput factor, and economic well-being as an output factor, and then identifies if there are some relationships among them by using a systematic approach of family financial management. The questionaires were distributed to 600 employed wives by carrying out cluster sampling and disproportional stratified sampling. The 573 cases of them were used as the mean, ratio, Pearson’s Correration, ANOVA, factors analysis, and Stepwise Regression using the SAS/PC+. The major findings of the study are as follows: 1) A practical application of information as on input variable, appears the fator which has an important effect upon the throughput factor, that is, family financial management. The employed wives should manage a lot of resources in rapidly changing social-economic circustances. So it shows that not only they should take informations open to their daily life and then make practical use of them in managing their family finance, but also they must be capable of judging and accepting reasonable informations in order to gain and manage resources suitable to the characteristics of family finance and family members’need. 2) There was significant relationship between the employed wives’family financial management and family economic well-being, focused on the systematic theory of family financial management. This study provides for the information to develope the program for the employed wives’family financial planning and counseling.

신도시 개발이 도시열섬 형성에 미치는 영향 - 분당신도시와 판교지역을 중심으로 - (Influence of New Town Development on the Urban Heat Islands - ln the Case of Pan-Gyo Area and Bun-Dang New Town -)

  • The main purpose of this research is to discuss the urban heat island which will be caused by urbanization, especially by the construction of new town on a wide green zone. Over the last ten years, five new towns have been developed around the Seoul metropolitan area. However these new towns become bedroom communities and create traffic problems between Seoul and its surrounding areas because of an increase in population and a lack of roads and other infrastructures. The construction of another such new town is under consideration in the Pan-gyo area. But it is important that Pan-gyo remains a wide green zone. Many studies show that green space can play an important role in improving urban eco-meteorological, ameliorative capability and air hygiene. The objective of this study is to analyze the urban heat islands of Bund-Dang Si which was constructed in 1996 and of the Pan-Gyo area planned as new town. To investigate the local thermal environment and its negative effects caused by change of the land use type and urbanization we used LANDSAT TM images for extraction of urban surface temperature according to change of land use over 15 years. These data were analyzed together with digital land use and topographic data. As a study result, we found that the thermal island of this area from 1985 to 1999 rapidly increased with a difference of mean temperature of more than 12'E. Before construction of Bun-Dang Si the temperature of this area was the same as the forest, but during the new town construction in 1991, an urban heat island developed. The temperature of forest with a size of over 50% of the investigation area was lowest, which leads us to conclude that the forest cools the urban and its surroundings. The mean temperature of the residential and commercial area is more than +4.5$^{\circ}C$ higher then forest, so this method of land use is the main factor increasing the urban heat island. Urban heat islands and green space play an important role in urban wind systems, i.e. Thermal Induced Air Exchange and Structural Wind Circulation, because of their special properties with regard to energy balance between constructed urban and land. The skill to allocate land use types in urban areas is a very important planning device to reduce air pollution and induce the fresh cold air from green space. An urban climatic experiment featuring a numerical wind simulation study to show the air corridor will be published in a following research paper.

포괄적 주택개념에 기초한 장애인 및 노인주거 계획요소 (Planning Factor of the Housing for the Disabled and Aged based on the Inclusive Housing)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the planning factors of housing for the disabled and elderly based on the inclusive housing design as sustainable neighborhood. The goal of inclusive design is to make buildings and communities more livable for all type of people. Inclusive design should embrace other good design goals and reinforce them, not work against them. To carry out this purpose, we should proceed in the following way: First, we deducted the four design factors (the basic, recommendable, adaptable, and residential factors) by reviewing the characteristics of inclusive housing concepts. Second, we analyzed the related foreign design standards and guidelines such as the ICC/ANSI A117.1 Type C Units (the United States, 2009), Lifetime Standard (the United Kingdom, 2010), and Livable Housing Design Guideline (the Australian, 2010) through four design factors based on inclusive design concepts. Finally, we suggested the housing design factors for the disabled and the elderly in Korea. To conclude, we can make the followings: It is important basic factor that the bedroom and bathroom layout closed to each other. Also, the bedroom has the proper height of light switches, outlets, and windows. The recommendable factors take into consideration stairs and ramp, if existent. The adaptable factors are closely related to domestic housing culture as well as residential factors. Proceeding from this fact, the livability for people with disabilities and older requires accessibility and adaptability that take into account public and efficiency considering the current trend of housing development and urban planning.

Seawater-driven forward osmosis for direct treatment of municipal wastewater

  • Direct treatment of municipal wastewater by forward osmosis (FO) process was evaluated in terms of water flux decline, reverse salt diffusion, pollutants rejection and concentration efficiency by using synthetic seawater as the draw solution. It was found that when operating in PRO mode (active layer facing the draw solution), although the FO membrane exhibited higher osmotic water flux, more severe flux decline and reverse salt diffusion was also observed due to the more severe fouling of pollutants in the membrane support layer and accompanied fouling enhanced concentration polarization. In addition, although the water flux decline was shown to be lower for the FO mode (active layer facing the feed solution), irreversible membrane fouling was identified in both PRO and FO modes as the water flux cannot be restored to the initial value by physical flushing, highlighting the necessity of chemical cleaning in long-term operation. During the 7 cycles of filtration conducted in the experiments, the FO membrane exhibited considerably high rejection for TOC, COD, TP and $NH_4{^+}-N$ present in the wastewater. By optimizing the volume ratio of seawater draw solution/wastewater feed solution, a concentration factor of 3.1 and 3.7 was obtained for the FO and PRO modes, respectively. The results demonstrated the validity of the FO process for direct treatment of municipal wastewater by using seawater as the draw solution, while facilitating the subsequent utilization of concentrated wastewater for bioenergy production, which may have special implications for the coastline areas.

역사도시구조와 연계한 도시수체계의 구성형태와 역할에 관한 연구 - 경주, 개경, 한양, 수원화성을 중심으로 - (A Composition and Role of Urban Water System in Connection with Historic City Structure - Focusing on Gyeongju, Gaegyeong, Hanyang, and Suwon Hwaseong -)

  • 본 연구는 신라왕경 경주, 고려 개경, 조선 한양, 조선후기 신도시로 조성된 수원 화성을 중심으로 우리나라의 역사도시에서 나타난 도시수체계의 구성방법이 지니는 특성을 파악해보고자하는 목적을 지니고 있다. 특히 도시입지, 도로, 도시시설 배치 등을 중심으로 도시골격구조와 연계하여 물길이 지니는 의미를 살펴보고 수체계의 구성형태에 대한 해석을 통하여 도시 내 수공간 경영에 투입되었던 기술적, 계획적 요소와 함께 도시구조와의 관계를 분석하였다. 연구대상지에서는 자연수계를 기반으로 부분적인 하천 정비와 인공수계를 도입하여 도시수체계가 구축되고 있다. 특히 물과 자연수계는 도시의 입지를 결정하는 핵심요소로 작용하고 있으며 도시구조와 도시발달과정, 도시구조와 밀접한 관계를 지니고 있음을 알 수 있다. 여기에는 지리적 관념과 어우러져 물이 지니는 상징적 의미와 더불어 치수, 이수 등의 관점에서 요구되는 현실적 수요가 중요한 배경으로 자리하고 있다. 물 공간과 관련된 다양한 수요에 대응하기 위하여 도시 형성·발달과정에서 물 공간을 경영하기 위한 다양한 계획적, 기술적 요소가 도입되었다. 연구대상지에 대한 분석을 통하여 도시형성·발달과정에서 도시수체계가 지니는 계획적 요소를 종합해보면 다음과 같이 요약된다. 첫째로 연구대상지로 선정된 신라왕경 경주, 고려 개경, 조선 한양, 수원 화성의 도시수체계를 구축하는 과정에는 배수, 재해를 고려한 치수의 관점이 공통적으로 작용하고 있지만 수체계의 구축방법이나 활용성에서는 차이를 나타내고 있다. 둘째로 물과 자연수계는 도시입지의 상징적 요소로서, 그리고 지리적 관념과 어우러진 도시 입지를 결정하고 도시의 좌향을 결정하는 핵심요소로 작용하고 있다. 셋째로 도시가 형성되기 이전의 자연수계는 지형여건과 어우러져 도시 형성·발달과정에서 구축되는 도시수체계의 구성형태를 결정하는 기반으로 작용하고 있다. 넷째로 자연수계를 기반으로 구축된 도시수체계는 자연물길과 계획적 인공수로가 결합되어 도시구조의 일부로서 위계별 수계의 활용성이 차이를 나타내고 있다. 다섯째로 도시수체계는 배수체계와 재해를 고려한 치수의 관점 이외에 도시용지의 확보, 도시시설 배치와 영역 확보, 기능지역 구성, 토지구획과 연계하여 계획적으로 구축되고 있다.

도시균형발전을 위한 도시공간구조 변화 진단 (Analysis of Changes in Urban Spatial Structure for Balanced Urban Development)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 지속 가능한 도시성장 관리를 위한 일환으로 도시균형발전을 위해 공간모델링 기법을 이용하여 도시공간 구조 진단하는 것이다. 도시공간구조는 다양한 활동의 상호작용이므로 공간구조 요소들의 패턴 변화 분석과 함께 요소들의 분석 결과를 연계하여 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 인구, 교통 분야에 대하여 접근하였으며, 대상지의 관련 법령에 따라 정의된 다양한 생활권별 공간구조를 분석하였다. 인구는 시계열별 변화 데이터를 공간통계기법인 Getis-Ord Gi* 기법에 적용함으로써 인구 집중지역에 대한 군집 변화를 분석하였으며, 교통은 출퇴근 교통 O-D 데이터를 Social Network Analysis 기법에 적용함으로써 중심성 변화를 분석하였다. 분석결과 대상지 전체적으로 불균형이 심화되고 있었으며, 중심성의 변화가 분석되었다. 분석 결과는 다른 공간요인과 연계하여 해석함으로써 생활권별 도시공간구조를 전망하고 지속 가능한 도시성장관리를 위한 방향을 제시할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 해당 도시에서 진행되고 있는 도시정책뿐만 아니라, 전 세계 많은 도시에서도 급속한 도시발전과 통제할 수 없는 개발에 대응하기 위하여 도입하고 있는 다양한 도시 성장 관리 정책의 의사결정을 위한 도구로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
