국내 도료 및 제철·제강산업 발생 폐기물 중 잔류성 유기오염물질류의 함량 특성 -PCDD/DFs, PAHs, PCBs- (Content characteristics of persistent organic pollutants waste from paint, iron making and steel making process)

  • 본 연구는 [지정폐기물 중 신규유해물질 항목설정 및 시험방법 확립에 관한 연구]에 선정된 우선관리대상 미규제 유기물질 3종(PCDD/DFs, PAHs, PCBs)에 대해 효과적인 관리를 위하여 수행하였다. 국립환경과학원에서 제시된 함량시험법에 따라 분석하였으며, 폐유기용제, 폐페인트, 분진이 포함된 도료 및 제철 제강공정에서 발생하는 폐기물을 대상으로 함량을 결정하였다. GC/MSD를 이용한 PAHs 7종을 조사한 결과, 나프탈렌(N.D~1631.33 mg/kg)이 검출되었다. 폐유기용제와 폐페인트의 나프탈렌 결과 값은 해양배출처리기준을 초과하는 것으로 조사되었다. PCB 7종에 대해 함량 분석값은 전부 불검출로 나타났다. PCDD/DFs 분석결과, 바젤협약 기술지침서의 low POP 기준에 부합한 것으로 조사되었다. 10공정(빌렛, 불룸)에서 배출되는 분진 시료에서 PCDD/DFs의 함량 결과는 N.D~5.66 ng I-TEQ/g으로 조사되었다.

하천식생 이입 현상에 대한 수문현상 변화와 영양염류 영향의 예비 검증 (A Preliminary Verification of the Influences of Hydrologic Regime Change and Nutrients Influx on Vegetation Recruitment on Riparian Bars)

  • 본 연구는 비 조절하천에서 식생 이입 및 활착 현상에 대해 봄철 강수특성 변화에 따른 식생영향 가설과 질소화합물의 하천유입에 따른 식생영향 가설을 일차적으로 검증하는 것이다. 첫 번째 가설을 검증하기 위해 국내하천에 대해 갈대와 달뿌리풀의 발아기, 유식물기인 3-5월의 강우특성 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과 최근 35년 동안 연 총 강수량은 약 15% 늘어난 반면에 3-5월의 강수량은 오히려 약 15% 이상 감소한 것으로 나타나서 이러한 가설을 부분적으로 뒷받침하였다. 두 번째 가설을 검증하기 위해 한 쌍의 실험수로에 갈대를 식재 하고 여름 기간 동안 갈대성장을 관찰한 결과 질소화합물이 3.5 mg/L 정도 함유된 오염수를 주기적으로 흘린 수로의 경우 그렇지 않은 경우보다 약 30% 이상 갈대성장이 높은 것을 확인하였다. 비록 강우량 분석 결과와 식생수로 실험결과는 제한된 범위 내에서 수행된 것이지만 국내 비 조절 중소하천의 초본류 번무현상을 일부 설명할 수 있을 것이다.

Survey of Yogurt Powder Storage in Ambient Export Countries A Safety Evaluation Standard Compliance and Comparative Analysis

  • Yogurt powder is fermented milk processed in the form of dry yogurt, and has advantages such as stability, storability, convenience, and portability. China and Vietnam are important export target countries because of the increased demand for dairy products. Therefore, we surveyed dairy product standardization in order to establish an export strategy. Lactic acid bacteria counts are unregulated in Korea and Vietnam. In China, lactic acid bacteria counts are regulated at $1{\times}10^6$ colonyforming units (CFU)/mL and detected at $6.24{\pm}0.33\;Log\;CFU/mL$. All three countries have regulated standards for total bacterial counts. In China, total bacterial counts of milk powder are regulated to n=5, c=2, m=50,000, M=200,000 and detected at $6.02{\pm}0.12\;Log\;CFU/mL$, exceeding the acceptable level. Lactic acid bacterial counts appeared to exceed total bacterial counts. Coliform group counts, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, and Salmonella species were not detected. Acidity is not regulated in Korea and Vietnam. In China, acidity was regulated to over $70^{\circ}T$ and detected $352.38{\pm}10.24^{\circ}T$. pH is unregulated in all three countries. pH was compared to that of general fermented milk, which is 4.2, and that of the sample was $4.28{\pm}0.01$. Aflatoxin levels are not regulated in Korea and China. In Vietnam, aflatoxin level is regulated at 0.05 ppb. Therefore, all ingredients of the yogurt powder met the safety standards. This data obtained in this study can be used as the basic data in assessing the export quality of yogurt powder.

  • 본 논문에서는 공유 메모리형 ATM 스위치 설계에 있어서 스위치 자원의 이용률 향상과 서비스 품질 기능 지원을 위한 버퍼관리방안을 고찰하고 여러 기법들의 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 정적 임계법(ST)와 푸시 아웃(PO) 그리고, 동적 임계법(DT)의 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 비교 분석하였고, 특히 동적임계법이 트래픽 부하 및 버스티니스 (Burstyness), 복수개 출력포트간 부하의 불균형성 (Non-uniformity)등의 트래픽 특성 변화에 대해 푸시아웃 (Pushout)에 가까운 견고성 (Robustness)을 가짐을 보였다. 또한, 서비스 품질 기능 구현에 있어서 연결승인제어 (CAC)로부터 구한 트래적 기술자를 이용하여 각 셀 스트림의 서비스 요구조건에 맞도록 메모리 공간을 할당하는 가상분할법 (VP: Virtual partitioning)과 동적분할법 (DP: Dynamic partitioning)등의 버퍼관리 메커니즘을 고찰하였다. 이 기법들을 사용할 경우 규정된 트래픽 (Regulated traffic)과 규정되지 않은 (Unregulated) best-effort 트래픽의 공존이 가능하며 규정되지 않은 트래픽이 존재하더라도 규정된 트래픽이 연결승인제어에 의해 계산된 셀 유실률을 보장받게 됨을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 보였으며, 특히 과부하 상태에서 DP가 VP에 비해 서비스품질 지원 기능 면에서 우수함을 보였다.

A Computational Approach for the Classification of Protein Tyrosine Kinases

  • Protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) play a central role in the modulation of a wide variety of cellular events such as differentiation, proliferation and metabolism, and their unregulated activation can lead to various diseases including cancer and diabetes. PTKs represent a diverse family of proteins including both receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) and non-receptor tyrosine kinases (NRTKs). Due to the diversity and important cellular roles of PTKs, accurate classification methods are required to better understand and differentiate different PTKs. In addition, PTKs have become important targets for drugs, providing a further need to develop novel methods to accurately classify this set of important biological molecules. Here, we introduce a novel statistical model for the classification of PTKs that is based on their structural features. The approach allows for both the recognition of PTKs and the classification of RTKs into their subfamilies. This novel approach had an overall accuracy of 98.5% for the identification of PTKs, and 99.3% for the classification of RTKs.

한국민간조사제도 도입전망과 과제 (The tasks and prospect of introducing the pravite investigation servicesystem in korea)

  • With rapid changes taking place in every field, the expansion and specialization of various social service activities are one of the characteristics of the modem society. However, the increase of crimes and inefficiency of public police service to cope with this situation have caused discontent and distrust on the service among the public, making people more inclined to solve safety-related problems by themselves. Private Security Service(PSS) and Private Investigation Service(PIS) were introduced to satisfy these needs. In the area of PIS, Public Investigation Service System(PISS) has been established for a quite long time in foreign countries. However in Korea, PIS is being provided by unregulated service providers such as errand service center due to the lack of legal system, causing many problems related with illegal practices by the service providers. This paper is the result of the research on how to adopt a relevant PISS in Korea and develop it in the future. This kind of research is much needed to curb the rising illegal practices of the errand service centers, complement the insufficient operation of public police service, and strengthen the competitiveness of our country by taking more efficient actions in the changing public security environment. Based on the research, this paper also examines positively the possibility of introduction of PIS in Korea. This paper also recommends a prompt enactment of PIS regulation and improvement on the legal environment for such introduction of the relevant and suitable PISS in Korea.

고도정수처리 과정에서 퍼클로레이트 이온의 농도 변화 (Perchlorate in Advanced Drinking Water Treatment Process)

  • Perchlorate, which is still unregulated, is found in tap water, posing a threat to public health. In and out of Korea, there is no clear standard for drinking water quality or discharge. To make matters worse, Perchlorate study is in its infancy in Korea. This research tracked fresh water and purified water of water purification facility A and B located at the city of D, where Nak-dong River is being utilized as the purified water. And it was found that purified water shows no particular pattern in Perchlorate concentrations but represented a higher level of concentration compared to fresh water. With utilizing the research results, the study sought the impact of activated-carbon treatment process on Perchlorate elimination and found out that Perchlorate concentrations increased 38% after the process. The result proves that conventional water purification process can't eliminate Perchlorate. Therefore, it is reasonable that Perchlorate discharge from sources should be minimized.

hEPO 유전자의 발현이 조절되는 형질전환 닭의 생산 (Generation of Transgenic Chickens Regulating hEPO Gene Expression)

  • We report here the production of transgenic chickens that can regulate human erythropoietin (hEPO) gene expression. The glycoprotein hormone hEPO is an essential for viability and growth of the erythrocytic progenitors. Retrovirus vector system used in this study has two features including tetracycline-controllable promoter and woodchuck hepatitis virus posttranscriptional regulator element (WPRE). The former is for to reduce the possibility of physiological disturbance due to constitutional and unregulated expression of hEPO gene in the transgenic chicken. The latter is for maximum expression of the foreign gene when we turn-on the gene expression. A replication-defective Moloney murine leukemia virus (MoMLV)-based vectors packaged with vesicular stomatitis virus G glycoprotein (VSV-G) was injected beneath the blastoderm of non-incubated chicken embryos (stage X). Out of 325 injected eggs, 28 chicks hatched after 21 days of incubation and 16 hatched chicks were found to express the hEPO gene delivered by the vector. The biological activity of the recombinant hEPO in transgenic chicken serum was comparable to its commercially available counterpart. The recombinant hEPO in transgenic chicken serum had N- and O-linked carbohydrate simillar to that produced from in vitro cultured cells transformed with hEPO gene.

  • In this paper, one general approach is proposed for the design of power system that can be applicable for next generation LEO satellite application. The power system consists of solar panels, battery, and power control and distribution unit(PCDU). The PCDU contains solar array modules, battery interface modules, low-voltage power distribution modules, high-voltage distribution modules, heater power distribution modules, on-board computer interface modules, and internal DC/DC converter modules. The PCDU plays roles of protection of battery against overcharge by active control of solar array generated power, distribution of unregulated electrical power via controlled outlets to bus and instrument units, distribution of regulated electrical power to selected bus and instrument units, and provision of status monitoring and telecommand interface allowing the system and ground operate the power system, evaluate its performance and initiate appropriate countermeasures in case of abnormal conditions. We review the functional schemes of the main constitutes of the PCDU such as the battery interface module, the auxiliary supply module, solar array regulators with maximum power point tracking(MPPT) technology, heater power distribution modules, spacecraft unit power distribution modules, and instrument power distribution module.

  • 최근 화석에너지원의 고갈과 고유가 및 지구 온난화 방지를 위해 국가별로 이산화탄소 배출량을 규제하기 시작하면서 신재생 에너지의 사용에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 그 중 연료전지가 한 부분을 차지하고 있으며, 연료전지는 친환경적이고 효율적인 에너지원으로서 근 미래의 새로운 대체 에너지로서 각광 받으며 여러 분야의 전기장치로 사용될 수 있다. 연료전지는 낮은 출력전압과 높은 출력전류를 갖는 특징이 있으며, 부하에 따라 출력전압이 변화하는 특성이 있기 때문에 연료전지의 사용을 위해서는 다양한 부하조건에서 연료전지와 연동된 승압 또는 강압형 컨버터의 제작이 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 DSP를 이용하여 컨버터의 디지털 제어가 가능하며, 고정 시비율로 동작하는 LLC 공진형 컨버터를 이용한 2kW급 연료전지용 양방향 컨버터를 제안하였다. 제안한 컨버터는 양방향으로 동작하며, 에너지 저장 및 재사용을 목적으로 하고, 출력은 24V 배터리가 된다.
