Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an online education on death, 'successful life, and beautiful death' for university students and to evaluate students' changes regarding perception of self and death. Method: A quasi-experimental design was used with one experimental group pre-post test. Subjects were 154 students who enrolled for online education about death for 16 weeks. SPSS/WIN 12 was used for analyzing data. Result: The results of the study clearly indicated this class had positive effects on students' perception of death-related concepts, attitudes toward death, and self-concept, showing statistically significant higher scores in post-tests than in pre-tests. In addition, the result of class evaluations showed a positive response, Conclusion: Findings suggested that this online education about death was effective to change students' perceptions of death related knowledge, attitude toward death, and self-concept. Recommendations for further studies were provided.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop online health promotion an education program for university students and to evaluate its changes. Method: An online health promotion education program was established through analysis, designing, development, implementation and evaluation stages. This was a quasi-experimental, one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 97 students in one university, and they were provided the online class for 16 weeks. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and paired t-test. Result: The results of program evaluation were positive, which included instruction function 3.94, system construction 4.14, system function 3.90, and overall evaluation 4.03 on the scale of 5. The posttest scores of health promoting lifestyle(t=-2.316, p=0.024) was significantly higher than those of the pretest. Conclusion: This study shows that the online health promotion education program was an effective educational method to improve health promotion lifestyle for the university students.

Students' perceptions of generosity and fairness in lecture evaluation and grades, communication with professors, and self-fidelity and satisfaction during the COVID-19 situation were statistically analyzed by surveying students at M university in Daejeon. These data were analyzed in the context of parameters that might impact online class lecture evaluations, namely gender and school year. Descriptive analysis shows students' perceptions of online lectures are significantly high. As for differences by gender and school year, the t-test results indicate female students generally have better perceptions of online classes than male students. However, there is no statistical difference between male and female students regarding the generosity of lecture evaluation. Also, ANOVA test results show that as the school year increases, the general perceptions for online classes become negative. However, there is no statistical difference by school year regarding the generosity of lecture evaluation. Regression analysis shows that the "perceptual generosity of grades" most significantly influenced the "perceptual generosity of lecture evaluation."

COVID-19 팬데믹으로 대면 수업이 어려워지면서 불가피하게 온라인 수업을 진행해오고 있다. 지속적인 온라인 학습에 대한 연구가 한창인 가운데, 교육부는 일상 회복과 함께 단계적 대면 수업 전환 계획을 발표하였다. 대학에서 이처럼 대면 수업을 추진하고자 하는 입장과 온라인 수업을 선호하는 입장, 그리고 수업의 주최인 학생들의 입장이 상이한 가운데 수업에 대한 의견 또한 상이하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수업의 주최인 학생의 입장을 중심으로 한 '위드코로나' 시대의 교수법을 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구는 교수자들의 교수법에 대한 고찰과 수요자인 학습자들의 요구를 분석하고 이를 반영한 혁신적 교수법으로 나아가는 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

코로나바이러스감염증-19로 인해 교육관련 디지털 콘텐츠에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있으며 학습자의 자기주도 학습능력의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 COVID-19로 인해 비대면 수업을 경험한 간호대학생의 자기주도 학습능력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상자는 COVID-19로 인해 한 학기 이상 비대면 수업을 경험한 간호대학생 115명이며, 2020년 11월 18일부터 12월 1일까지 온라인설문을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 대상자의 자기주도 학습능력에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인은 감성지능의 하부요인 '감성활용' (β=.42, p<.001), 회복탄력성의 하부요인 '통제성' (β=.28, p=.001) 및 비판적 사고성향의 하부요인 '객관성' (β=.27, p<.001)이었고, 설명력은 62.0%이었다. 간호대학생의 감성지능 향상을 위한 연구와 중재가 지속적으로 필요하며 교육 컨텐츠 제작시에도 이를 고려하기를 제언한다.

This paper aims to propose that Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a method that can help meet the conditions in language learning and instruction. PBL was first used in medical education, where learners engaged in problem-solving activities that reflect the demands of real-life professional practice, thus promoting critical thinking in the content domain. The paper proposes that by applying PBL in language learning and creating situations in which learners work collaboratively on problems, the learners benefit in two respects: (i) they have the opportunity to practise the kind of thinking skills and problem-solving strategies needed in real life, and (ii) they engage in purposeful language activity with others through discussion and negotiation. The paper first provides a theoretical rationale far the use of PBL in language learning and suggests attendant changes in the role of a language instructor in a PBL context. The paper then presents an outline of the stages and components needed in designing an online PBL Unit far use in an undergraduate language class.

We consider the visual barcode recognition problem in a noisy video data setup. Unlike most existing single-frame recognizers that require considerable user effort to acquire clean, motionless and blur-free barcode signals, we eliminate such extra human efforts by proposing a robust video-based barcode recognition algorithm. We deal with a sequence of noisy blurred barcode image frames by posing it as an online filtering problem. In the proposed dynamic recognition model, at each frame we infer the blur level of the frame as well as the digit class label. In contrast to a frame-by-frame based approach with heuristic majority voting scheme, the class labels and frame-wise noise levels are propagated along the frame sequences in our model, and hence we exploit all cues from noisy frames that are potentially useful for predicting the barcode label in a probabilistically reasonable sense. We also suggest a visual barcode tracking approach that efficiently localizes barcode areas in video frames. The effectiveness of the proposed approaches is demonstrated empirically on both synthetic and real data setup.

In order to respond to changes in the industrial environment such as the 4th industrial revolution, university education also needs active educational innovation efforts. This study proposed a construction construction hybrid curriculum that can actively utilize online education in the direction of educational innovation in domestic universities. The hybrid curriculum was based on online learning through lecture videos used in team-based learning. The hybrid curriculum additionally allows learners to choose their learning methods. In a hybrid class, learners can choose the class participation method they want from offline classroom or online real-time. Hybrid classes are considered to strengthen learners' options and take a step forward in learner-centered education.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how elementary teachers perceive and practice using Visual Thinking (VT) in science classes. For this, we collected 161 VT teaching materials for science that uploaded on the elementary teacher's online communities, and analyzed the characteristics. Also we interviewed four elementary teachers who have used VT in science class. The results are as follows. First, VT teaching materials shared in teacher's online communities were most often used to review the science concepts that students learned. Most of the materials required 'remember' among the Cognitive Process, and most of them provided layouts for VT activities. Second, the participants were using VT materials to review the science concepts they learned, so that students remember them. Third, the participants were satisfied because of the beliefs of effects as follows: facilitating learning and reviewing what students had learned; increasing students' positive reactions and confidence; learning through the interation among learners; the formation of habits thinking visually; indirect experiences of science class; possibility of class corresponding to learner characteristics. Fourth, the participants had difficulties in preparing for the VT science class, such as the burden of making VT materials, the long preparation time, concerns over overlapping contents, consideration of learners' VT skills, and the themselves' drawing ability. Furthermore, they also had difficulties in proceeding for the class, like different preference among learners about Visualization and loss of objectives in science class using VT. Fifth, the participants needed support as follows: platform to share students' VT results; VT case books and teachers' guidebooks; physical environment.

초등 e-러닝 동영상 수업에서 교육적 효과성을 비교 분석 하고자 한다. 교육용 동영상의 활용빈도가 높은 초등학교 현장에서 동영상 자료에 대한 학습판단은 중요하지만 판단을 하기에는 어려운 실정이다. 이러한 현장의 문제점을 해결해 보고자, 초등학교 5학년 사회과 수업을 대상으로, 실험집단에는 온라인 학습판단 시스템을 이용하여 동영상 학습을 하였고 비교 집단에는 전통적인 방법으로 동영상 학습을 진행 하였다. 실험 결과, 온라인 학습판단시스템을 활용한 수업은 학습자의 학업 성취도를 신장시키는데 효과적이었다. 또한 학습자의 학습 만족도에도 긍정적 영향을 주었다. 교수자의 수업 만족도는 교수자들의 수가 적어 유의미한 통계 분석 결과가 도출되지 않았으나 평균값은 실험집단의 교수자의 수업 만족도가 높으며, 편차는 실험집단의 교수자 결과가 작은 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.
