본 연구는 공공도서관 사인시스템을 조사하고 그 결과를 토대로 실무에서 사용할 수 있는 공공도서관 사인시스템 체크리스트를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 배경은 공공도서관 사인시스템의 현황과 도서관 사인의 지속적인 활용에 있다. 이에 따라 공공도서관 현장 조사와 문헌 조사를 통하여 공공도서관 사인시스템 체크리스트를 제시하였다. 본 연구의 공공도서관 사인시스템의 체크리스트는 사인 유지 보수 및 관리인 실무적 측면과 사인 기능 별 측면을 고려하여 작성되었다. 도서관 사인 관리자가 도서관 사인을 구축하고 관리할 때 효율적이고 지속가능한 도서관 사인을 구축할 수 있도록 하였다.

The article sets forth a problem on international exchange and cooperation In the field of library and information science in the People's Republic of China from engles of academic and publication's exchange, It points out international exchange and cooperation between China and Korea should be developed from international exchange of publications and interlibrary loan to openning up standard, authority and current database on publications step by step. China and Korea should supply the database to all of the world, In order to come up to shared resources, the author has compared the Descriptive Cataloguing Rules for Western Language Materials, and the Bibliographical Description for Monographes with the Korean Cataloguing Rules for Description, and analyzed their different. In the end, the article presents the result that the documentation standardzation is the only way of accomplishing shared resources in the world from indentity of description for publications and materials, and unity of cataloguing rules.

Half a century has passed since the academic field of library and information science, which was born at the end of the 19th Century in the Western world, was introduced to Korea. Despite years of quantitative growth and qualitative maturation, the field has been facing the inconvenient truths of discrepancies in education levels arising from varying education providers, and weakened public confidence in librarian certification. Based on analysis of librarian training and education programs and the certification system, this research seeks to point out the limitations of the national librarian certification system, which is losing public confidence, and present a model for improvement. Library and information science education has expanded from universities to the academy of librarian education and lifelong education centers, and the librarian certification system has emerged as a target of reform. This research presents measures to improve the librarian certification system to government bodies and the Committee on Library and Information Policy with the purpose of providing grounds for policy enforcement.

This paper presents a high-speed pulse-based flip-flop with pseudo MUX-type scan compatible with the conventional master-slave flip-flop with MUX-type scan. The proposed flip-flop was implemented as the standard cell library using Samsung 130nm HS technology. The data-to-output delay and power-delay-product of the proposed flip-flop are reduced by up to 59% and 49%, respectively. By using this flop-flop, ARM11 softcore has achieved the maximum 1GHz operating speed.

Research on the Development of EPUB SCP(Secure Content Protection) Technical Specification and International Standardization has been carried out as a R&D project granted by the Korea Copyright Commission since 2014. The research aims to build a standard framework for the EPUB DRM(Digital Rights Management) based on the Readium LCP(Licensed Content Protection) and KS EPUB DRM specifications, to develop element technologies for the framework, and to standardize it as an IDPF(International Digital Publishing Forum) industrial standard. One of the essential features of the EPUB DRM developed though this study is to support the lending model of the digital library. This paper introduces LSD(License Status Document) specification which is a DRM license management protocol for the digital library lending process, and also represents a model which can automatically test the implemented entities of the LSD specification, test scenarios and test materials.

The author have devised the main table of International Centesimal Classification(ICC). This is the second study of ICC. And so, this study intends to devise a new and reasonable form divisions for the ICC. This study analyses the 'standard subdivisions' of DDC and the 'general form divisions' of UDC and LCC, to investigate the problems included among them. And then, it devises the three tables of 'Internal form divisions, External form divisions, and Special form divisions' in two digit of arabic numerals.

KORMARC used in library bibliographic information, had been pointed several weaknesses such as inflexibility lack of link information and compatibility. In addition, a sudden increase in digital information associated with development of internet is demanding an integration of web resources metadata as the resource of library information. This study mentioned XML/KORMARC system or adaption of XML standard format turned out to be the most efficient way to use KORMARC formats and to expand the range of those information service such as bibliographic information, factual information, referral information and full-text.

Considering the need for quality health information and resultant health care services in any society, this study was carried out to look into the status of library and information resources and services provided by medical libraries in Enugu State, Nigeria. The main objective of the study was to find out the information resources and services available for medical library users towards quality health care provision. Five (5) medical libraries of major teaching hospitals were used for the study with 980 registered users as the study population from where 245 users were sampled. Observation checklist was used to collect data on resources while questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents on the services provided. The Medical Library Association Standard guided the analysis of data from observation while frequency counts and mean scores were used to analyze data from the questionnaire. Major findings showed that even though some of the required resources and services are available and provided the medical libraries, most of the required resources and services are not adequately provided by these libraries.

This study adopted the descriptive survey research method. The population of this study comprised of the hearing impaired students in selected government secondary schools in Rivers state. The population of hearing impaired students in Rivers State is 257. A simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 159. A self-developed instrument titled "Availability and Utilization of Library Information Resources Questionnaire (AULIRQ)" was utilized for data collection. 153 responses were collated, indicating a 96.2% response rate. The data collected was arranged and analyzed using frequency count, percentages, and mean and standard deviation. Finding reveals that information resources in the libraries understudied were inadequate and under-utilized. Also, it was established that among other barriers, under-funding is a major barrier to making information resources available for the physically challenged. It was recommended that schools offering special education for the hearing impaired should pace up in their developmental gap by providing such resources and ensure adequate funding by all stakeholders.

Recently, the appearance of the library has changed dramatically more than ever, and it is true that the spatial factor of the library is a big part of this change. The purpose of this study is to establish the criteria for improvement of the illuminance standard of library by comparing analysis of related workd related to illumination, survey, and illuminance related standards of each country. In order to achieve the purpose of research, we measured the illuminance and the users' perceptions of the 14 public libraries in the D region. Finally, the comparison of domestic and international illuminance standards should be improved in the future. As a result of the analysis, it is found that the domestic illumination standard (KSA 3011) needs to be supplemented in accordance with the environment and the case of each country. Also, it is necessary to recognize the importance of differentiation and illuminance according to the age group of users. This study is expected to be a basic research that will raise the interest of the overall illumination improvement and illumination management of the library in the future. In addition, it is expected that it will be a great power for the improvement of the environment including the illumination of the public library in Korea if the interest is maintained based on the revision of the domestic illumination standard in accordance with the revised tendency of overseas recommendation and the continuous research on the future illumination of the library.
