최근 대학도서관을 중심으로 복합문화공간을 표방하며 신축 및 리모델링이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 즉, 디지털 및 멀티미디어기기 활용공간, 스터디룸 등의 열람공간, 영화감상실 및 전시실 등과 같은 문화적 기능수행 공간, 그리고 커뮤니케이션과 휴게공간의 확충 및 제공이 늘어나고 있다. 그러나, 새로운 공간의 확보 및 제공에 치중하는 것과는 달리 오프라인 서비스와 적절히 연계되지 못하고 있으며 사서의 역할에 대한 변화와 위치에 대한 고려가 이루어지지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 새로운 도서관 공간을 구상하고 제공하는데 있어 대학도서관의 학문적 성격을 감안하여 '복합문화공간'이 아닌 '복합학습공간'을 지향할 필요가 있으며, 대학도서관의 목적에 대한 이해와 함께 이용자의 요구, 장서의 활용방안 그리고 사서의 역할 및 배치에 대한 고려가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

이 연구는 어린이도서관의 물리적 공간이 어린이 발달에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 인식하고 긍정적이고 발전적인 방향으로 어린이 발달을 지원할 수 있도록 평가기준을 수립하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 이론적으로 어린이 발달 특성을 검토하고 단계별, 영역별 발달 특성을 적절하게 지원할 수 있는 공간요건의 토대인 이용자편익기준을 분석하였다. 다음으로 이용자편익에서 편익이라는 개념을 구체화하기 위해 어린이도서관 및 어린이공간을 주제로 진행된 선행연구에서 공통적으로 사용되고 있는 편익에 대응되는 개념어들을 추출했다. 그리고 추출된 항목들을 비교분석하고 본 연구의 제시 항목을 추가하여 12개의 개념어를 편익의 대체어로 제시하여 실제 도서관 공간에 적용시켰다. 마지막으로 어린이에게 제공되는 편익 차원에 초점을 맞춘 어린이도서관 공간기준 체크리스트를 제시하였다.

현대사회에서 라이프 스타일의 변화로 복합문화공간에 대한 수요가 높아지고 다양한 복합문화공간이 생겨나고 있다. 그러나 아직 사용자 중심에서의 복합문화공간 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 복합문화공간의 다양한 문화체험 기능과 사용자 경험이 올바르게 전달되고 있는지 알아보기 위해 국내 대표 복합문화공간인 '별마당 도서관'과 '아크앤북'을 비교하여 분석하였다. 연구 방법으로 사용자 경험 분석 도구와 심층 인터뷰를 하였다. 그 결과, 두 공간 모두 상업 공간과 브랜드 도서관이 조화롭지 않다는 반응을 보였고, 복합문화공간의 서비스 이용이 일부 불편하다는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 이는 현재 복합문화공간이 제공하는 체험 가치와 사용성에 개선의 조치가 필요하다는 결과로 해석되며, 본 연구를 기반으로 향후 복합문화공간의 발전에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

Ubiquitous technology is currently being introduced to libraries at the fastest speed as compared to other spaces. However, the introduction of ubiquitous technology to the existing analog space is causing problems despite such intelligence of libraries as the design standards for ubiquitous spaces have not been arranged yet. This researcher analyzed and evaluated the characteristics of design from the ubiquitous aspect of the ubiquitous environment-oriented libraries that are still at their initial stage. The subjects for this study were the National Library of Korea, Myongji University Bangmok Library, and Yonsei University Library. The definition and characteristics of the ubiquitous environment libraries were examined through literature review and the standards for design analysis were derived by analyzing previous studies. Case analyses were conducted to evaluate the design elements in the ubiquitous environment libraries based on the field observation, photographing, and interviews with managers. As a result, functionality, safety, cognition and convenience were derived based on the investigation and analysis of previous studies; informativeness, playfulness, security, and simplicity which are the design characteristics were found. As a result of the case studies, while functionality and safety are met in most of the standards for design analysis, universality was very low. Care for minorities is need in a library as it is a space used by many unspecified individuals.

대학의 교육 목표 및 인재상의 변화에 따라, 대학도서관은 창의적이고 협력적인 학습을 지원할 수 있는 공간으로 변화할 필요가 있다. 해외의 사례와는 별개로 국내의 대학 및 대학도서관 상황에 알맞은 창의·협력 학습공간 조성에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 본 연구는 창의·협력 학습공간으로의 변화를 계획하고 있는 대학도서관 현장에 실효성 있는 안내를 제공하고자 (1) 대학도서관 창의·협력 학습공간 개념 정의를 위한 이론적 검토, (2) 국내 대학도서관 창의·협력 학습공간 조성 사례 수집 및 분석, 그리고 (3) 대학도서관 창의·협력 학습공간 구성 및 구축(안)을 제시하였다. 사례 수집은 12곳의 대학도서관 현장 방문을 통해 이루어졌다. 그리고 운영주체, 지역, 규모를 고려하여 선정한 5개 대학도서관의 구축 및 운영 담당자를 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 본 연구는 국내 대학도서관 현장에 실적용 가능한 제안을 위해 국내의 창의·협력 학습 공간의 선진적인 사례를 집중적으로 조사 분석하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

This research is to analyze the public cases of information facilities in terms of central circulations in multi level volumes such as atrium or court which provide visual intervention between different spaces and physical connections such as bridges. Hunt Library design balances the understood pre-existing needs with the University's emerging needs to create a forward-thinking learning environment. While clearly a contemporary structure within a traditional context of the NCSU campus, the Hunt Library provides a positive platform for influencing its surroundings. Both technical and programmatic innovations are celebrated as part of the learning experience and provide a versatile and stimulating environment for students. Public library as open spaces connecting to an interactive social domain over communities can provide variety of learning environments, or technology based labs. There are many cases of the public information spaces with dynamic networks where participants can play their roles in physical space as well as in the intellectual stimulation. In the research, new public projects provide typologies of information spaces with user oriented media. The research is to address a creative transition between the reading space and the experimental links of the integration of state-of-the-art technology is highly visible in the building's design. The user-friendly browsing system that replaces the traditional browsing with the virtual shelves classified and archived by their form, is to reduce the storage space of the public library and it is to allow more space for collaborative learning. In addition to the intelligent robot of information storages, innovative features is the large-scale visualization space that supports team experiments to carry out collaborative online works and therefore the public library's various programs is to provide visitors with more efficient participatory environment.

본 연구는 마케팅 분야에서 공간 서비스를 측정하기 위해 이용되는 서비스스케이프를 대학도서관에 도입함으로써 도서관 공간 및 시설이 이용자들의 만족도와 지속의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울에 위치한 4년제 종합사립대학교 10곳의 이용자를 대상으로 설문과 심층면담을 실시하였다. 분석결과 도서관의 서비스스케이프 요인은 청결성, 쾌적성, 심미성, 편의성으로 확인되었으며 편의성을 필두로 청결성, 심미성, 쾌적성 순으로 이용자의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이용자의 특성에 따라 대학도서관 서비스스케이프의 만족도와 지속의도에도 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 대학도서관은 더 다양한 기능을 수용할 수 있는 공간 마련과 선진 정보 기술 활용 등을 통한 서비스의 고도화를 추구할 필요가 있으며 청결성, 쾌적성, 심미성, 편의성을 고려하는 방향으로 도서관 공간을 발전시킬 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 문헌정보학 분야에서 연구된 적 없는 서비스스케이프라는 개념을 도입하여 대학도서관 이용자들의 만족도와 지속의도를 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 LibQUAL+의 장소로서의 도서관을 측정하는데 있어 보다 세밀한 분석을 돕고자 하였고 공간을 기획하는 실무자에게 새로운 가이드 라인을 제공하였다는데 의의를 둔다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing on the organizational changes of the university libraries. Results of the analysis, that is, factors that cause the library organization to change, are as follows 1. Changes in library size physical facilities, growth and diversity of library collections, change in personnel organization, role enrichment and faculty status for librarians, management pattern of library director, change in financial su n.0, pport. 2. Change in program : change in goals and objectives, expansion of service programs, enhancement of library functions. 3. Library automation : introduction and development of many library automation projects. 4. Introduction of information technology : development and distribution of computer and related software, telecommunication, and new media. 5. Changes in user needs : many-sided demands for collections, spaces, and services. 6. Many other environmental factors related to library organization.

In the 21st century, university library is changing into a new paradigm. Among others, color image emerges as an important aspect of the library. Up to now, studies on colors of indoor space have been limited on partial and specific spaces. But, this study, using the tool of emotional evaluation, aims to do a comprehensive research on color image of the whole space. This research uses the H University library completed in March 2015. This research is performed in the following procedure. First, previous related researches for the past ten years from 2005 to 2015 is examined, which will help understand the trends in this kind of research, and set up the concrete goal of research. By literature review, color image is established in the environmental psychological aspect. Second, to analyze colors, all the spaces of the library from the entrance lobby are filmed. Filmed images are changed into mosaic, and color palettes are composed, and color values are calculated using the Munsell color system. Third, emotional words are extracted, and emotional evaluation is made. Using the Semantic Differential scale method, emotional differences among subjects are compared, and the validity of the survey data is tested using the statistical program SPSS 18.0. As the outcome of the research shows, the color image and emotion in space are closely related. And, through emotion, it is possible to get color image, and this aspect can be scholastically systemized and developed.

Diurnal variation of $PM_{10}$ concentration was investigated for 24 sites in library including reading room, bookstock room, lobby, office and so on, and 9 sites in student building at Kangwon National University using scattering light integrated type digital dust indicator. The dimensional conversion factors for mass concentrations (K) were determined by comparing between the $PM_{10}$ concentrations collected by $PM_{10}$ hig volume air sampler and the digital dust indicator. The dimensional conversion factor (K) was 3.33 for indoor air in this experiment. The highest concentrations were 649 $\mug/m^3$/day for smoking room in the library and 242 $\mug/m^3$/day for circle room in the student building. Most of spaces in the library except a office and bookstock rooms were over 150 $\mug/m^3$/day of $PM_{10}$ concentrations and 6 indoor spaces were over the guideline for indoor air quality in student building except a health center and two restaurants. Therefore, it should be required to make an improvement on the indoor air quaility for public facilities in the university buildings.
