In this study, the effect of a telecommunication company's safety management system on workers' safety awareness and safety behavior was empirically verified. The main findings are as follows: First, among the factors of the telecommunication company's safety management system, the management supervisor's capability and level of industrial accident investigations were found to have a significant positive effect on workers' safety awareness. Second, workers' safety awareness was observed to exert a significant positive effect on their safety behavior. Third, among the factors of the telecommunication company's safety management system, the management supervisor's capability and industrial accident investigations were found to have a significant positive effect on the safety behavior of workers. Fourth, although the telecommunications safety management system factors, such as management supervisors' capability and industrial accident investigations, were found to have a positive effect on workers' safety awareness, they had no mediated effect on workers' safety behavior through safety awareness.

And safety management level was survey through case study that use safety assessment table. Purpose: Children's swimming pools are picking up faster than the other types of swimming pool. Yet, safety law-related studies are still lack. This study is to review legal status of children's swimming pool in Korea and to discuss the related legal issues for safety management of children's swimming pool. Research design, data, and methodology: The study reviewed law and clauses for sport facility management and related legal clauses with chilren's swimming pool management, and sport facility-related articles. Results: Safety management of children's swimming pool should currently follow law for sport and physical education facility management because of no its own legal norm for children's swimming pool. Given this, specific law and clauses for children's pool management need to be legislated to prevent risks for children and to satisfy specific safety factors considering careless behavior of children. Conclusions: Regarding this, the study points out five suggestions. First, law should be established to make notification of safety rules mandatory and this notification should be placed in the pool. This notification would be better effective if it is visualized. Second, according to law, safety 7 rules of children' s swimming pool need to be legistrated and educated for pool managers to obey them. Pool managers could also add their own rules to the 7 rules. Finally, preparation of emergency kits and safety devices need to be mandatory in the pool. Further implications were discussed.

Advanced Safety Management System(SMS) of Korea Railroad Corporation for risk management should be established applying contents-centered domestic standard according to Railway Safety Act and process-centered international standards suggested by Lloyd's Register Company. Besides, laws, regulations, guidelines and manuals which are optimized for each sector should be systematically integrated to strengthen the consistency of SMS of KORAIL. New safety regulations and guidelines for safety management/train operations/maintenance should be established according to the safety policy of KORAIL to boost effective field work by regulations, guidelines, manuals, etc. The advanced Safety Management System will lead KORAIL as a competent global enterprise with its boosted reputation in the international railway market.

Current subway station's office employee must perform safety management tasks by monitoring the various safety management systems. But these monitoring systems are limited in effective situational awareness and response to a state of emergency immediately. It is necessary to develop an integrated safety management system display. In this study, we developed subway station safety management system's (CCTV, fire detection & alarm system, screen door control equipment) integrated prototype display with ecological interface design framework and evaluated prototype display interface's usability with GOMS model. The result was that the ecological interface's performance was better than existing safety management system's interface.

The purpose of this study is to keep the safety of the car ferry passengers and vessels by investigating and analyzing vessel safety management systems in Korea and China. To this end, we investigated Korea-China car ferries and the current status and causes of global marine accidents corresponding to the sizes of the vessels from Korea and China. Furthermore, we investigated car ferries' crew management and safety management. As a result of the analysis of the ferry accident, the causes of human error and ship's age were the greatest, but the ship's companies showed a negative stance regarding the age restriction. It seems that it is necessary to utilize the near-miss accident reporting system and differentiate the management of ship's aging. Also, it was analyzed that both the ship company and the crew of the ship need to strengthen their awareness of safety management.

본 연구는 특별법에 의한 어린이식생활 안전지수를 개발하여 지자체별로 비교 평가하기 위한 안전지수의 영역을 구성하고 영역별로 세부지표를 도출하는 목적으로 수행되었다.식생활 안전지수 평가지표 개발을 위해 선행연구에 대한 검토 및 식생활 안전지수 평가지표 전문가 자문회의를 실시하여 평가지표를 개발하였으며, AHP 기법과 델파이 조사 기법을 활용하여 각 평가지표에 대한 가중치를 부여하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 어린이 식생활 안전지수 평가지표는 수차에 걸친 식품, 영양 관련 분야 전문가 회의를 거쳐 최종적으로 정책지표 3개, 전략지표 9개, 대표 평가지표 11개 및 세부 평가지표 20개를 선정하였다. 선정된 세부 평가지표에 대해 AHP 기법과 델파이 기법을 활용하여 각 세부지표별 가중치를 선정하였다. 정책지표별 가중치는 식생활 안전 0.4, 식생활 영양 0.4, 식생활 인지 실천수준 0.2이었고, 전략지표별 가중치는 식생활 안전관리 지원수준 0.12, 기호식품 안전관리수준 0.19, 단체급식 안전관리수준 0.19, 결식 및 비만관리 수준 0.13, 기호식품 영양관리수준 0.11, 단체급식 영양관리수준 0.16, 식생활 안전 및 영양제도 인지수준 0.04, 식생활 안전관리 인지 실천 수준 0.07, 식생활 영양관리 인지 실천 수준 0.09이었다.

In order to present basic data for the balancing improvement of safety management level in domestic construction companies the improvement index and characteristic of safety management level are offered by comparing the year 2006's safety level with the year 2001's one. The companies under concern are classified into 51 large scale companies and 61 middle and small scale ones. The safety management level of both head office and construction sites is improved for all companies without regard to the scale. Specially, the improvement index of middle and small scale companies shows the higher rate than large ones and head office higher than construction sites.

Department of Defense, Republic of Korea has put in significant efforts towards safety over the years by developing defense safety management systems, such as establishing safety management organizations and enacting laws and regulations. Therefore, the number of casualties due to military activities has been reduced dramatically. However, many errors and problems are present in the safety management system (SMS) owing to a lack of proper SMS. That brings inefficiency and discontinuity in SMS. Hence, typical phenomena such as lack of safety management professionals and reactive safety management activities have not been properly corrected. This study reviews various academic papers on the SMS and research reports of major foreign institutions to redefine the concept and components of the defense safety management system to ultimately suggest improvement in the R.O.K defense safety management system. Additionally, the safety management system of the U.S. and British forces, considered to be the leading safety management system, were analyzed and compared to R.O.K defense SMS to derive their implications.

Despite all efforts to reduce construction disaster, construction site accident rate has steadily increased in Korea since 2008. As a different approach from traditional research, there is a growing issue about design for safety concept to prevent construction disaster. The notion is that construction worker's safety need to be considered at design phase, not only at construction phase. Globally, the notion has been noted that to improve the safety of the worker and used in practice. However, in Korea, most of safety management guidelines are limited to construction phase. From recent statistics, only 1.4 percent of designer feel responsible for safety accident at construction site. In this circumstance, this research find out safety guidelines through literatures reviews and practical experience of safety management in other country which apply design for safety concept. Selected guidelines are verified by survey which is evaluated with risk, function, cost, time and aesthetic view categories. Through the survey, define guidelines which could be effectively applied in Korea. By using proposed safety guidelines for design phase, preventing construction accident and improving designer's recognition of safety issue at design phase are expected.
