유니버설디자인 관점에서 이동약자를 위한 안경원 출입구 편의시설 실태조사 - 서울특별시를 중심으로 (The Field Investigation of Optical Shop Entrance Facilities for the Mobility Impairment from the Universal Design - Focused on Seoul Metropolitan City)

  • Purpose: Mobility impairment persons are all people who experience mobility difficulties in their daily lives, which makes up about 30% of the population in Seoul Metropolitan City; this number is expected to increase with population aging. As the number of mobility impairment persons in need of vision correction increases, it is necessary to create the Universal Design guidelines and to provide the foundation to access convenience facilities at the entrance of optical shops, a health and medical institution. Methods: Of the 2,282 optical shops located in Seoul, 252 optical shops were chosen for data collection of actual photos, from April 10, 2022 to September 4, 2022. Based on the photographs, the height difference between the entrance and the sidewalk, safety handles, and opening and closing methods of entrances were investigated, as these factors correspond to the accessibility and the mobility of the mobility impairment persons. Results: Of the 252 optical shops surveyed, 114 (45.2%) have resolved the problems of height difference through improving horizontal accessibility (61) or using ramps (53). 36 (14.3%) optical shops chose automatic doors for opening and closing methods of the entrance. Implications: The rate of installation of access convenience facilities for the entrance of optical shops is slightly lower than the rate of installation of ramps, surveyed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. It is necessary to apply the Universal Design to access convenience facilities for the entrance of optical shops for not only the mobility impairment persons but all people, regardless of age or ability, to conveniently access healthcare services.

  • This paper describes the universal-type signaling service equipment which provides a signaling service function (R2 MFC, DTMF, Continuity check tone, and Audible tone sending and/or receiving) for call processing control in TDX-10 switching system. Based upon the structure of the TDX-10 switching system, the philosophy of design and technology on the universal-type signaling service equipment has been investigated in order to realize a reduction in size and cost, as well as assuring high reliability and flexible operation. Finally, the control method, fuctional operation and principal feature of the designed universal-type signaling service equipment have been described.

  • We present simulations and results to demonstrate the viability of stainless steel foil as a substrate for low power consumption, flexible AMOLED displays. Using organic planarization layers, we achieve very smooth surface properties, resulting in excellent TFT performance, that can be repetitively flexed without significantly affecting device performance. The use of phosphorescent OLEDs enables the design of low power consumption 40" AMOLED displays.

  • This paper describes a new procedure to develop a systems model of a universal motor based on finite element analysis. The purpose of this paper optimized fabrication of Universal Motor for improving its efficiency and performance and driving range. To do this, various design parameters are set such as a number of teeth and stator shape, etc. As results, the optimized model has made good improvement compared with those of the initial.

스튜어트 플랫폼형 범용 수동조작기의 설계연구 (On the design of a stewart platform-based universal hand-controller)

  • The practical design and construction of a Stewart Platform-based unilateral universal hand-controller is presented. It is also presented that such a design concept could be implemented by developing a technical method of determining the forward kinematics of a Stewart Platform in real time. In this work, the forward kinematics of a Stewart Platform has been determined in real time using three additional displacement sensors which eliminate the computational burden of solving the forward kinematics described in nonlinear simultaneous equations. The workspace of the Stewart Platform via inverse kinematics has been analyzed numerically and used as a design guide for the determination of the mechanism dimensions such as the sizes of the upper and base platforms and the minimum and maximum lengths of the legs. The hardware of the hand-controller has been constructed and tested to demonstrate the feasibility of the design concept.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 14명의 읽기장애아동 부모를 대상으로 하이브리드 모바일 읽기 게임의 사용성에 대하여 평가한 것이다. 읽기 게임은 아동의 읽기 발달 과정에 따라 총 6단계(자모음 익숙해지기, 통글자 익히기, 자모음 결합하기, 단어 읽기, 음운 규칙, 읽기 자동화)로 구성되었다. 본 사용성 검사에서는, 부모들이 1단계부터 3단계의 읽기 게임 앱 내용을 경험해보고, 일반적인 디자인 설계 및 보편적 학습설계를 5점 평정척도로 평가하였다. 일반적인 디자인에 대한 사용성 검사 결과(총 18개 항목)를 살펴보면 상호작용 설계, 교수적 설계, 인터페이스 설계 순으로 높게 평가되었다. 보편적 학습설계 측면(총 9개 항목)의 검사 결과로는 다양한 방식의 표상을 제공, 다양한 방식의 행동과 표현수단을 제공, 다양한 방식의 학습 참여를 제공하는 것 순으로 사용성이 높게 평가되었다. 마지막으로 앱의 개선점, 현장에 제공하는 시사점, 미래연구를 위한 제언들이 논의되었다.

3D프린터를 활용한 교구 개발 프로그램이 예비유아특수교사의 보편적 학습설계 인식 변화에 미치는 효과에 관한 융합적 연구 (A Convergence Study on the Effects of Participation in teaching material Development Program Using 3D Printer on the Recognition of Universal Design of Early Childhood Special Education Pre-service Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 3D 프린터를 활용한 교구개발 프로그램이 예비유아특수교사의 보편적 학습설계 인식에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위해 시행하였다. 연구대상은 3D 프린터를 활용한 교구개발 프로그램에 참가한 예비유아특수교사 30명이었으며, 보편적 학습설계에 대한 설문을 중재프로그램 적용 전과 후에 실시하여 비교하였다. 연구결과 예비특수교사들은 3D 프린터를 활용한 교구 개발 프로그램을 통해 보편적 학습설계의 4개 하위영역 수준에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이는 보편적 학습 설계 인식 향상을 위해 3D 프린터를 이용한 직접적 교구개발 경험이 매우 효과적이라는 것을 나타낸다. 또한 예비유아교사에게 교구개발 경험은 수업설계 능력 향상을 위해 중요하며, 그들에게 다양한 요구를 지닌 학생 지도를 위하여 최신 기술을 활용한 교구개발 실습이 필요함을 논의하였다.

보편적 학습 설계의 관점에서 초등학교 4학년 과학 디지털 교과서 분석 (Analysis of G4 Science Digital Textbook according to Universal Design for Learning)

  • Digital textbook project is one of government-driven project to improve education due to integrating technology. Digital textbook need to be universally designed to fit for each student. Recently, universal design for learning( UDL) gains great attention as one of promising approaches for the development of the digital textbook through giving various options and flexibility to all students. UDL has three main principles, first provide multiple means of representation, second provide multiple means of action and expression, third provide multiple means of engagement. The purpose of the study is to analyze fourth grade science textbook according to three UDL guidelines and suggest implications to improve an existing science textbook. The results indicated that fourth grade science digital textbook has been partly applied UDL guidelines like implementing multimedia and multi- mode contents, learning and communication tools, and motivation strategies. But options which students can choose according to their needs and styles are insufficient and tools for expression and communication need to enhance for helping each student to overcome his/her obstacles for learning and need to be more and elaborate to support learner-centered science digital textbook.
