균일 분포하중을 주는 플렛와이퍼 스프링레일의 곡면형상식 유도 (The Curve Equation of a Flat Wiper Spring Rail Inducing Uniformly Distributed Loads)

  • Recently, the flat wiper which is one piece wiper and subjected to a pressing force at a single center point is gaining wide applications on automotive windshields. However, nonuniform reactive pressure distributions takes place, so that wiping is not completed at such locations. The wiping performance of the flat wiper is best when a wiper and a curved windshield have perfect contact without gaps under the specified pressing force of 13 ~ 15 gf/cm. Therefore, it is necessary that the realistic curvature equation of a wiper spring-rail should be obtained. Finite element analysis, CATIA script-macro function, and the least square method were utilized to find out the curvature of a spring-rail for a perfect contact with a windshield under a specified concentrated load. The curvature equation became the third order polynomial.

오토백 인장장치의 적용성 (Application by Auto Back Tension System)

  • The ground anchoring has been utilized over 40 years. It is growing the application of the removal ground anchor with tension force for holding earth retaining constructions in the city. It transmits tension stress of prestressed steel wire through grouting to fixed the ground that is of great advantage adjacent ground stability. Nowadays, we can find the compression dispersion anchor on many site. But, it has some problems in behavior of anchors because of impossible to tense p.c strand uniformly under the existing equipment due to different length of p c strand. Hence, motive of this research was to study the application of the newly developed tension system, that analyze and compare with the current anchoring method build on the data of in-site test and laboratory test. As a result, in case of auto back tension system, it became clear that tension pressure was equally distributed among the steal wires but the existing tension system showed sign of instability by indicating stress deflection of about 30% compare with design load. This can cause an ultimate failure of the concentrated p.c strand and a shear failure of ground.

Enhanced Adaptive Beamforming and Null Steering Algorithms in Cognitive Radio System

  • The spectrum efficiency of mobile communication networks can be improved dramatically adopting multiple antennas technologies. In order to guarantee the licensed rights of primary user (PU), the cognitive radio system should perform in a relatively low interference manner when it gets access to the spectrum of licensed networks. In this paper, we explore a uniformly distributed circular antenna array to implement beamforming algorithm that is accomplished by optimization method at the base station of cognitive radio networks, and therefore we can suppress the interference to PU by steering quite low transmission power toward PU and constructing a narrow beam toward cognitive user (CU). By reducing the constraint number of the optimization problem, we also propose a null steering algorithm that steers rather low radiation power toward PU, while the other areas in the same cell are covered by radiation power except the local area around PU. It is pursued to reduce the computation load and enlarge the capacity of cognitive radio networks extremely. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms process superior performance.

  • Uniform current distribution among conductor layers in HTS cables using IPTS (inter-phase transformers) was proposed. Conventional methods for current distribution, in which resistors are inserted to conductor layers, causes additional loss. In contrast, IPTS, which use magnetic coupling, make it possible that the current in parallel circuits is distributed uniformly with any load, and minimize the loss. In this study, IPTS were designed and fabricated for examination of uniform current distribution in the conductor layers of HTS cables. The ITP was designed through calculation of its impedance that can cancel the inductance of the conduction layers.

Deflection of battened beams with shear and discrete effects

  • This paper presents a theoretical analysis for determining the transverse deflection of simply supported battened beams subjected to a uniformly distributed transverse quasi-static load. The analysis considers not only the shear effect but also the discrete effect of battens on the transverse deflection of the battened beam. The analytical solution is obtained using the principle of minimum potential energy. Numerical validation of the present analytical solution is accomplished using finite element methods. The present analytical solution shows that the shear effect on the transverse deflection of battened beams increases with the cross-section area of the main member but decreases with the cross-section area of the batten. The longer the battened beam is, or the larger the moment of inertia of the main member is, the smaller the shear effect will be.

  • The effect of the porosity and its distribution shape on the normal and shear interfacial stresses of the FGM beam strengthened with FRP plate subjected to a uniformly distributed load are investigated analytically in the present paper. Basically, the governing equations of FGM beams with porosity strengthened with composite plates are identical to the ones without porosity. Nonetheless, when the effect of the porosity and its distribution shape are taken into account, the rule of mixture was reformulated to assess the material characteristics with the porosity phases and its distribution shape. This work discusses the influence of the gradient index, the porosity and its distribution shape on the interfacial stresses.

  • The present paper is concerned with the investigation of disturbances in orthotropic thermoelastic medium by using fractional order heat conduction equation with three phase lags due to thermomechanical sources. Laplace and Fourier transform techniques are used to solve the problem. The expressions for displacement components, stress components and temperature change are derived in transformed domain and further in physical domain using numerical inversion techniques. The effect of fractional parameter based on its conductivity i.e., ($0<{\alpha}<1$ for weak, ${\alpha}=1$ for normal, $1<{\alpha}{\leq}2$ for strong conductivity) is depicted graphically on various components.

  • In this paper, a new approach of interface stress analysis in steel beam strengthened by porous FGM (Functionally Graded Materials) is presented to calculate the shear stress in the hybrid steel beam and loaded by a uniformly distributed load. The results show that there exists a high concentration of shear stress at the ends of the imperfect FGM, which might result in premature failure of the strengthening scheme at these locations. A parametric study has been conducted to investigate the sensitivity of interface behavior to parameters such as the rigidity of FGM plate (degree of homogeneity), the porosity index of FGM and the thickness of adhesive all were found to have a marked effect on the magnitude of maximum shear stress in the FGM member. we can conclude that the new approach is general in nature and may be applicable to all kinds of materials.

  • 강항(鋼桁)의 내하력부족(耐荷力不足)을 강재(鋼材)를 사용(使用)한 개판(蓋鈑) 또는 부재(部材)로서 보강(補强)하였던 것이 종래(從來)의 공법(工法)이며 이것도 대부분(大部分) 단순항(單純桁)에 한정(限定)되었었다. 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서 단순항(單純桁) 뿐만 아니라 2경간(徑間), 3경간연속(徑間連續)도 고인장강(高引張鋼)(P.C 강선(鋼線))으로 per-stress하여 단부정착(端部碇着)한 보강재(補强材)로 내하력(耐荷力)의 증대(增大)를 현저(顯著)하게 보았다. 장차(將次)의 하중증대(荷重增大)를 고려(考慮)하여 강항제작당시(鋼桁製作當時)에 보강장치(補强裝置)를 미리 설치하여 현장가설(現場架設) 때 pre-stressing하여 정착(碇着)시켜 놓면 목적(目的)은 달성(達成)된다. 이렇게 하면 단순항(單純桁), 2경간(徑間), 3경간연속항(徑間連續桁)이 최소(最小) 80%이상(以上) 내하력증가(耐荷力增加)가 되고 전경간(全徑間) 등분분포하중(等分布荷重)이 만재(滿載)될 때는 2경간연속(徑間連續) 단순항(單純桁)에서 약(約) 100%의 내하력증가(耐荷力增加)가 허용(許容)된다.

횡하중에 대한 휨재의 부모멘트 재분배 (Redistribution of Negative Moments in Beams Subjected to Lateral Load)

  • KCI 2007, ACI 318-08에 제시된 모멘트재분배 방법은 등분포 중력하중을 받는 연속 휨재에 대하여 검증된 방법이다. 횡하중에 의한 모멘트재분배 및 비탄성 거동은 중력하중과 전혀 다른 메커니즘을 발생된다. 이 연구에서는 기초역학에 근거하여 중력하중과 횡하중을 받는 철근콘크리트 모멘트골조의 보에 발생되는 모멘트재분배와 소성변형의 관계를 정량화하고, 이로부터 보의 소성변형능력에 근거한 모멘트재분배 설계법을 제안하였다. 제안된 모멘트재분배비는 KCI 2007, ACI 318-08 등 기존 설계기준과 마찬가지로 극한한계상태의 단면해석으로 결정되는 철근의 인장변형률로 정의된다. 또한 모멘트재분배비는 경간, 철근비, 단면강성, 변형경화 거동에 의하여 영향을 받는다. 제안된 방법을 사용하여 탄성해석으로 구한 설계모멘트를 재분배시키는 설계 가이드라인 및 예제를 제시하였다.
