The objective of this paper is to identify factors influencing intention to use ubiquitous banking service focusing on potential users using a regression model. Through this, providers of ubiquitous banking services can get an idea of future development, including marketing strategy through the results of this analysis. This paper proposes that perceived usefulness is the most important factor influencing the uptake of ubiquitous service. Also in addition, ANOVA test shows that higher education level of the user can lead to the higher intention to use an ubiquitous banking service. In this study, we set up a model by using the most basic factor among influential factors presented in previous studies as an independent variable. However, other research variables which affect acceptance of ubiquitous service should be considered by thinking more diversely.

Recently, the area of ubiquitous has gained a great attention both in academics and in business organizations as we are entering an ubiquitous society where people can interact at "anytime" and "anywhere". To preoccupy the leading status for the next generation of IT technology, many countries such as Korea, Japan, and US are concerned the ubiquitous. In this tendency, companies want to identify what factors make people use ubiquitous in order to develop the effective ubiquitous service and to supply the higher quality service. However, prior researches on ubiquitous are focused on technical area such as higher data delivery, efficient compression of images, so they do not have given companies beneficial materials for making fascinating ubiquitous services. To offer the service materials for development, from the viewpoint of the customer, important factors to use ubiquitous services are investigated in this study. Moreover, the study was progressed up to the new area of investigation how much these factors influenced ubiquitous service actual usage. To achieve these goals, Ubiquitous service adopting reflected in ubiquitous service characteristics was suggested in this study. The results of this study are as follows. First, contextual offer, ubiquity, invisibility are positively related to perceived value. Second, perceived value is positively related to usage intention but perceived risk is negatively related to usage intention. Third, usage intention is positively related to usage frequency. Based on these results, managerial implications for ubiquitous service vitalization are discussed. Lastly, the limitation of this research and further research issues are suggested.

Various kind of ubiquitous healthcare services have been developed and tried in patient care and health care fields. Due to technical restrictions and not enough application practices, the service systems have been developed somewhat in ad hoc way. This paper describes the requirements for ubiquitous healthcare service systems most of which need to have and presents a ubiquitous healthcare service system architecture with which various ubiquitous healthcare services can be developed. It also introduces an application system for ubiquitous benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patient care which has been developed based on the architecture.

The evaluation of ubiquitous computing service is the important work for preparing the commercialization of the ubiquitous business services in which ubiquitous intelligence (ubitelligence) is embedded. However, the methodology for evaluating ubiquitous computing services has not been developed enough. Even the study of making a distinction what is 'ubiquitous' or not is insufficient yet. Hence, this paper aims to propose an integrated methodology to assess the ubiquitous computing services. A multi-layered approach is adopted to assess not only technical but also behavioral service levels.

Recently, the korean statistical information service reported that the elder people aged over 65 years take 11 percentage point of all population, indicating that the hyper-elder era will advent shortly. As a result, there are remarkably increasing demands for providing self-organizable home agent system for elder people. Of the home agent system, the ubiquitous home service is known to be useful to overcome this problem. However, current ubiquitous home services limited to provide functional services, and it can be observed that there is lack of consideration for elder-support products which are closely interacted with elder people in the living situation. In this paper, we analyze senior aids products that can be combined to the ubiquitous home service, and propose design procedure for senior aids products that can be applied to self-organizable ubiquitous services. We studied characteristics of elder people, current state of affairs for senior aids products, and home services that are highly required by elder people. Moreover, we observed that the ubiquitous home services related to health, safety, and amenity are urgently needed, and those services can be categorized according to residential areas. Following those observances, we proposed a design principle based on the universal design paradigm to provide self-organizable ubiquitous home service environment for elder people using senior aids products.

The reform of the information technique is very decisive in reforming effort of the government, and ubiquitous government is a representative example. But a problem in ubiquitous government service is that the efficiency is low. The reason is that the service of ubiquitous government could not be provided with a corresponding service to the inhabitants which is real and actual user. from now on, Gyeongnam province must have the ubiquitous service plan which can be the corresponding to the need of the inhabitants. In this paper we survey a ubiquitous recognition of Gyenongnam inhabitants and analyze the present situation by association rule mining. We can offer a basic data of policy about a ubiquitous service construction of Gyeongnam from the results of this paper.

Ubiquitous computing is enhancing computer use by making many computers available throughout the physical environment without being noticed to the users. To facilitate successful adoption and diffusion of ubiquitous systems, it is important to find out the factors affecting their uses. Although researches related to ubiquitous computing have been vigorously conducted from the aspect of system and service provider, there have been very few studies that focus on the user's perspective. This study attempts to find out major factors which are dedicated to the development of ubiquitous systems and services and the relationships between these factors and user satisfaction factors. This study derived the specific factors that characterize ubiquitous services, such as ubiquity, contextual offer, user affinity, privacy, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. We also considered service quality factors of ubiquitous services. Then these factors were combined with the Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT) model and the path analysis was applied to find out the factors affecting user satisfaction and the intention to use the systems. The research findings indicate that ubiquity, contextual offer, privacy, reliability, and responsiveness affect the perceived usefulness. The perceived ease of use and confirmation were found to affect the perceived usefulness. The perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and confirmation fumed out to influence the satisfaction. It turned out that the result of this study on the relationship between the perceived usefulness and user satisfaction was identical with the findings in previous related ECT researches. We think this study makes two significant contributions to the development of ubiquitous services. First, this study provides basic implications for better ubiquitous services by considering important characteristics of ubiquitous systems as services. Second, this study also suggests important factors that need to be considered when ubiquitous service providers develop new ubiquitous services to improve user satisfaction and the intention to use the services.

현재 우리는 Ubiquitous IT기술을 활용한 편의시설이 곳곳에 적용되어 가고 있는 도시에 서 살아가고 있으며, 이러한 Ubiquitous IT기술은 발전에 발전을 거듭하여 우리가 느끼지 못하는 곳까지 확대되어 가고 있다. IT산업과 도시산업의 융·복합화을 통해 형성되는 새로운 도시의 개념인 u-City는 다양한 u-Service의 제공을 통해 국민의 삶을 향상시키는데 의의가 있다. 정부에서도 Ubiquitous 활성화 정책과 u-City 관련 산업 육성을 위해 노력하고 있으며, 이에 Ubiquitous 환경 및 정보인프라 구축등 기술적 구현은 빠르게 발전되고 있다. 그러나 u-Service의 효과를 체험하고 보다나은 서비스가 제공될 수 있도록 정보를 제공해 주어야 하는 소비자(국민)들은 계층별 정보격차로 인해 체감할 수 있는 u-Service가 미흡한 것으로 파악된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 정보격차 분석을 통해 계층별 소비자 맞춤형 u-Service 적용방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 본 논문은 u-Service의 기본단위인 도시에서 생겨나는 정보격차 속성을 이해하고, 정보격차의 주체별 분석을 통하여 올바른 u-Service를 적용할 수 있는 효율적인 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

In this paper, we defined constructivism and ontology theory and associate it in ubiquitous learning. The typical ubiquitous learning involving the Context Aware Intelligent system was presented. Also the Architecture for learning environment including the key idea and technical concept is being presented in this paper. Guided with these principles and with the advancement of information and communication technology the context-awareness based on Artificial intelligence for Location based Service for ubiquitous Learning was conceptualized.

The purpose of this study is to introduce ubiquitous home services for the aged. In comparison with general ubiquitous homes, ubiquitous homes for the aged have two major characteristics. First, the service contents should be expanded and strengthened. Second, the services should be customized to each individuals. The primary objective of a ubiquitous home for the aged is health care. The three affordances for this objective are 1)prevention of sickness and reducing the speed of aging process, 2)technical assistance for disability, 3)recovering and enhancing the physical and cognitive function. For this purpose this paper analyses the characteristics of the aged and current ubiquitous technology and ubiquitous home service, thus providing an outline for ubiquitous services necessary for aged people.
