최근 인터넷의 보급 및 컴퓨터 네트워크 기술의 발전과 더불어 차세대 컴퓨팅 패러다임으로 불리는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅(Ubiquitous Computing)을 실현하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 실현하기 위해서는 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) 환경에 포함되어 있는 각종 센서들로부터 인식된 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하고 처리하여 응용서비스에 전달되어야 한다. 그러나 각종 센서에 대한 메타데이터 및 인터페이스에 대한 정의가 불분명하고 데이터에 대한 응용서비스의 어려운 접근성, 서로 상이한 플랫폼(platform)과 프로토콜(protocol)에서 발생하는 상호운용성의 부재, 실제 응용에 필요한 이벤트 정의의 비 표준화 문제 등으로 인해 실제 USN 응용서비스를 실현하는데 여러 문제점이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 센서의 측정 데이터와 서비스의 메타데이터를 표준화된 형태로 기술할 수 있도록 XML 기반의 센서 서비스 기술 언어를 정의하였다. 또한 다양한 센서 서비스를 불특정 다수의 사용자가 다양한 응용 환경에서 센서 데이터를 표준화된 프로토콜을 사용하여 서비스 받을 수 있도록 USN 응용 서비스를 위한 웹 서비스 기반의 참조 모델을 제안 및 구현하였다.

유비쿼터스 시대에는 우리 주변에 산재하는 수많은 스마트 객체들이 끊임없이 방대한 양의 센서 데이터를 생성해 낸다. 인터넷이 널리 보급됨에 따라 인터넷으로 연결된 정보의 바다로부터 유용한 정보를 찾는데 도움을 주는 인터넷 정보 검색 엔진이 등장한 것처럼, 스마트 객체가 생성한 센서 데이터로부터 우리 삶을 윤택하게 하는데 활용될 정보를 추출하여 응용 서비스에 전달하는 일을 함으로써 유비쿼터스 서비스를 개발하는데 도움을 주는 센서 데이터 스트림 처리 미들웨어들이 등장하고 있다. 이러한 센서 데이터 스트림 처리 미들웨어를 이용하여 유비쿼터스 서비스를 사람들에게 제공하기 위해서는 제공될 서비스와 관련된 정보를 미들웨어에게 알려 주어야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 센서 데이터를 이용하는 유비쿼터스 서비스를 나타내는데 필요한 정보를 구분하고, 이를 효과적으로 표현하는 컨텍스트 드리븐 서비스 마크업 언어를 제안한다. 제안하는 컨텍스트 드리븐 서비스 마크업 언어를 이용하면 다양한 상황에서 제공되어야 하는 다양한 유비쿼터스 서비스를 쉽게 표현할 수 있다.

With the advent of ubiquitous computing environments, it has become increasingly important for applications to take full advantage of contextual information, such as the user's location, to offer greater services to the user without any explicit requests. In this paper, we propose context-aware active services based on context-aware middleware for URC systems (CAMUS). The CAMUS is a middleware that provides context-aware applications with a development and execution methodology. Accordingly, the applications based on CAMUS respond in a timely fashion to contextual information. This paper presents the system architecture of CAMUS and illustrates the content recommendation and control service agents with the properties, operations, and tasks for context-aware active services. To evaluate CAMUS, we apply the proposed active services to a TV application domain. We implement and experiment with a TV content recommendation service agent, a control service agent, and TV tasks based on CAMUS. The implemented content recommendation service agent divides the user's preferences into common and specific models to apply other recommendations and applications easily, including the TV content recommendations.

The purpose of this study is to seek new u-business services in restaurant management. Using the concept of business model methodology in family restaurant management domain, this study identifies customers' needs in services at the stage of management of purchase of materials, the production management, and the sales management. In addition, this study suggests two killer applications of a family restaurant management linking with the latest ubiquitous computing technologies: the service of the customer-oriented menu recommendation and the service of the inventory-oriented menu recommendation. These findings may offer practical insights in the context of ubiquitous service model of restaurant management.

본 논문에서는 선내에서 수집되는 데이터를 이용하는 선박과 육상의 어플리케이션 서비스의 효율적인 데이터 통합관리를 위한 선박용 어플리케이션 시스템을 설계하고 모듈을 구현하였다. 선박용 어플리케이션 시스템은 선내 수집 데이터를 활용하는 선박과 육상의 서비스를 지원하고 개별 장비간 원활한 연동 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 IALA에서 논의되고 있는 데이터 공유 시스템 모델과 ISO 16425의 XML 구조를 적용하였으며, 시스템 운영을 위한 공통 모듈과 데이터 수집 및 통합관리를 위한 윈도우 서비스, 관리를 위한 웹서비스 모듈을 구현하였다.

최근 급속하게 발달하고 있는 컴퓨터 네트워크와 인터넷을 기반으로 시간과 공간적인 제약에 구애받지 않고 지능적인 서비스를 수행하기 위한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅(Ubiquitous Computing)이 등장하였다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 가능하게 하는 핵심 기술로 물리 적 객체에 부착된 태그의 정보를 무선 주파수를 통하여 처리하는 RFID(Radio Frequency Identification : 무선 주파수 식별) 기술이 주목받고 있다. 그러나 현재 RFID 관련 연구는 태그와 리더에 관련된 하드웨어적인 연구들만 활발하게 진행되고 있고, 실제 이를 서비스하기 위한 소프트웨어 기술과 관련된 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심 기술로 주목 받고 있는 RFID응용 서비스를 효율적으로 처리 할 수 있는 소프트웨어 아키텍처에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 먼저 기존에 제안된 EPC 네트워크 아키텍처와 어플리케이션 개발 및 통합에 이용되는 개념적인 어플리케이션 아키텍처들의 특징을 비교 및 분석하고 각각의 아키텍처들이 가지고 있는 장 단점을 기반으로 새로운 아키텍처를 제안하였다.

본 논문에서는 분산응용의 관점에서 네트워크 상에 응용을 구성하는 분산된 객체들을 효율적으로 관리하는 분산객체그룹 프레임워크를 기반으로 사용자 맞춤형 분산응용 서비스를 제공하는 프로액티브응용서비스엔진을 제안한다. 본 엔진은 물리계층, 미들웨어 계층, 응용 계층으로 구성되며, 사용자의 요청에 의해 하드웨어 기기로부터 수집된 데이터 및 응용을 구성하는 객체의 속성정보를 그룹으로 관리하는 그룹서비스와 수집된 데이터 및 객체에 대한 사용자의 권한별 접근을 관리하는 보안서비스, 수집된 데이터를 추출 및 가공하여 응용에 제공하는 필터링서비스, 과거의 데이터를 이용한 통계서비스, 수집된 데이터를 토대로 현재의 운영 상태를 진단하는 진단서비스, 통계서비스와 진단서비스를 통해 미래의 발생 가능한 상황을 예측하기 위한 예측서비스를 제공한다. 최종적으로 엔진이 제공하는 서비스의 수행성을 검증하기 위하여 유비쿼터스 농업 분야의 온실 자동제어 응용에 적용하여 결과를 확인했다.

Spotlighted as an innovative information technology environment, ubiquitous computing has been actively researched on recently. Especially, domestic and global researches focus on the RFID system, which is being eyed to replace the existing bar-code system. As an essential technology for ubiquitous computing, the RFID system can be applied for various purposes. The security issues of the RFID system focus on how the low-priced tag type could have reasonable price competitiveness. The Auto-ID Center in the U.S. is spearheading the research on distribution service and omni-directional security. As for Japan, the researches on omni-directional security and EPC application are necessary in securing the technology for ubiquitous computing with support from the Ministry of Public Management Home Affairs, Posts, and Telecommunication. In this paper, a method of ensuring the availability of the RFID system service will be presented based on the ubiquitous computing environment with the existing omni-directional security and user-friendly interface. While the existing researches focus on the RF reader system and tag-based security, this paper's suggestion also considers the availability of a sen ice to suggest ways of increasing the practical usage of a low-priced RF tag.

Users are able to use the information and service more free than previous wire network due to development of wireless network and device. For this reason, various studies on ubiquitous networks have been conducted. Various contexts brought in this ubiquitous environment, have recognized user's action through sensors. This results in the provision of better services. Because services exist in various places in ubiquitous networks, the application has the time of services searching. In addition, user's context is very dynamic, so a method needs to be found to recommend services to user by context. Therefore, techniques for reducing the time of service and increasing accuracy of recommendation are being studied. But it is difficult to quickly and appropriately provide large numbers of services, because only basic context information is stored. For this reason, we suggest DUPS(Dimension User Profile System), which stores location, time, and frequency information of often used services. Because previous technique used to simple information for recommending service without predicting services which is going to use on future, we can provide better service, and improve accuracy over previous techniques.
