  • We studied on the ultra thin L- $\alpha$ -DLPC by LB method. The $\pi$ -A isotherm of the L- e -DLPC was measured at the air-water interface varying with the compressing speed and amounts of solutions for spreading. The molecular arrangement of deposited films were evaluated by measuring the absorption with the UV spectrometer. And we made structures of metal(Au)/L- $\alpha$ -DLPC/Metal(Au) and examined electron through L- $\alpha$ -DLPC LB films by means of current-voltage(I- V) measurement

  • To evaluate anticaries and antiinflammation of Aloe vera peel, antimicrobial substances were extracted from Aloe vera peel and identified. The antimicrobial active substances of water extract were successfully purified with solvent fractionation, silica gel column chromatography, preparative thin layer chromatography and UV spectrophotometer. Two purified active substances were identified as aloe-emodin and barbaloin by Mass Spectrometer, 1H-NMR and FT-IR.

  • In this study, sensitizing dye was prepared by the reaction of 2-methyl-3-sulfopropyl-4, 5-naphthothiazolium(inner salt) with triethyl orthoformate in the presence of triethylamine. The product was identified by using various analytical tools such as Elemental analyzer, IR spectrophotometer, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, $^1H-NMR$ spectrometer, TGA and DSC. Therefore, it was concluded that naphthothiazolo carbocyanine dye can be used as red-sensitizing dye for the spectral sensitization of photographic emulsion.

Vibronic Emission Spectrum of Jet-Cooled o-Tolunitrile in a Corona Excited Supersonic Expansion

  • We have employed a technique of corona excited supersonic expansion to generate electronically excited but jet-cooled o-tolunitrile. The vibronically well-resolved emission spectrum of the jet-cooled o-tolunitrile in the $S_{1}\rightarrow S_{0}$ transition was recorded in the uv region using a Fourier transform spectrometer equipped with a Quartz-uv beam splitter. The electronic transition and vibrational mode frequencies in the ground electronic state were accurately determined from the analysis of the spectra observed.

  • Despite of the excellent properties of carbon nanofiber, The properties of carbon nanofiber filled polymer composites were not increased largely. The reason is that it is still difficult to ensure the uniform dispersion of carbon nanofiber in a polymer matrix. In this study, For improvement properties of carbon nanofiber filled epoxy composites, the effect of dispersion was investigated. The compounds were prepared by two methods, solution blending and mechanical mixing. Mixing of solution blending method was used using ultrasonic. Dispersion of carbon nanofiber was observed by optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM). UV adsorption and turbidity measured by UV spectrometer was used for the comparison of dispersion of carbon nanofiber.

RF 스퍼터링 방법에 의한 AZO 투명전극용 박막에 대한 연구

  • To obtain a transparent electrode, AZO thin film was deposited on SiOC film with various flow rates by rf magnetron sputtering system. SiOC film was deposited with various DMDMOS/O2 flow rate ratio by CVD, The optical electrical properties of the SiOC film and SiOC/AZO were analyzed by the uv visible spectrometer and 4 point prove system. The reflectance of SiOC/AZO film was changed in compared with that of SiOC film. The resistance was decreased with low RF power because of increasing the concentration of carriers.

Quantitative Evaluation of Radix Astragali through the Simultaneous Determination of Bioactive Isoflavonoids and Saponins by HPLC/UV and LC-ESI-MS/MS

  • The three major active isoflavonoids (calycosin-7-O-β -glucoside, isomucronulatol 7-O-β-glucoside, formononetin) and two main saponins (astragaloside I, astragaloside IV) in an extract of Radix Astragali were determined using rapid, sensitive, reliable HPLC/UV and LC-ESI-MS/MS methods. The separation conditions employed for HPLC/UV were optimized using a phenyl-hexyl column (4.6 × 150 mm, 5 μm) with the gradient elution of acetonitrile and water as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and a detection wavelength of 230 nm. The specificity of the peaks was determined using a triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer equipped with an electrospray ionization (ESI) source that was operated in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) in the positive mode. These methods were fully validated with respect to the linearity, accuracy, precision, recovery and robustness. The HPLC/UV method was applied successfully to the quantification of three major isoflavonoids in the extract of Radix Astragali. The results indicate that the established HPLC/UV and LC-ESI-MS/MS methods are suitable for the quantitative analysis and quality control of multi-components in Radix Astragali.

  • 바나듐 3, 4, 5가 이온은 공기 중에서 안정하지만, 바나듐 2가 이온은 쉽게 산화된다. 그러므로 바나듐 2가 이온이 담겨져 있는 음극 탱크가 공기와 접촉하지 않게 하는 것이 중요하다. 충전 중 음극 탱크에 공기가 침투되면, 바나듐 2가 이온은 3가 이온으로 산화되기 때문에 음극과 양극의 전해질에 불균형을 초래한다. 이러한 불균형은 바나듐 레독스 흐름전지 용량저하의 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 공기 중 2가 이온 산화에 의한 전해질의 불균형 현상을 쉽게 보여주기 위해, 공기노출과 차단조건에서 충방전 중에 발생한 음극과 양극의 바나듐 이온 상태변화량을 UV-Visible spectrophotometer를 이용해 정량적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 공기노출 조건에서 음극의 충전 시, 충방전 cycle이 진행 될수록 바나듐 2가 이온의 양이 현격히 줄어들었지만, 공기차단 조건에서는 2가 이온의 양이 공기노출 조건보다 훨씬 더 적게 줄어들었다. 즉, 공기차단 조건에서는 바나듐 2가 이온이 3가로 산화되지 않아서 음극의 충전 후 바나듐 3가에서 2가로 전환되는 양이 공기노출 조건보다 더 많은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 영향으로 인해, 충방전 10th cycle을 진행해 본 결과, 공기차단 조건에서는 충방전 용량감소가 거의 없었지만 공기노출 조건에서는 현격한 충방전 용량 감소를 보였다.

  • The spectrophotometric methods for the determination of Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho, Er were developed, using the multicomponent method of absorption spectra cointerference. The absorption spectra of individual Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho, Er, mixture of Sm, Eu, Ho, Er in hydrochloric acid solutions were investigated, and also a band register which includes the molar absorptions for all trivalent Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho and Er absorption band maxima were measured. The spectrophotometric determination of Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho and Er were investigated using the analytically significant absorption bands at 444.2, 575.1, 401.7, 394.2, 416.6, and 379.7 nm, respectively.
