${U_3}{Si_2}$ 원심분무용 도가니 및 Nozzle 재료에 관한 연구

  • 핵비확산 목적으로 원심분무방법으로 저농축 우라늄 고밀도의 U$_3$Si$_2$구형분말 분산핵연료를 개발하는 일환으로 융점이 높은 U$_3$Si$_2$원심분무용 도가니와 nozzle에 적합한 재료를 선정하고자 zirconia계 물질과 yttria물질에 대한 양립성을 시험하였다. ZrO$_2$계 세라믹은 U$_3$Si$_2$와 우수한 양립성을 나타냈는데 부분 안정화시킨 Zirconia가 Crack 발생이 없어 완전 안정화시킨 것보다 내열충격이 더 양호한 것으로 보인다. Zirconia 도가니는 흑연과 반응하여 표면에 carbide를 형성하여 박리 되는 현상이 발생되었는데 부분 안정화 zirconia가 약간 더 많이 형성됨을 나타냈다. Yttria는 180$0^{\circ}C$이상에서 흑연과 반응하여 액상으로 형성되고 U$_3$Si$_2$와도 반응하여 사용에 부적합한 것으로 판명되었다. 내열충격이 비교적 우수한 부분 안정화 zirconia로 tundish를 제조하여 U$_3$Si$_2$를 원심분무한 결과 nozzle확장되지 않아서 입도분포가 협소한 분말을 얻는데 성공하였다.

  • In this paper, we consider the quasilinear elliptic system $\\div(|{\nabla}u|^{p-2}{\nabla}u)=u(a_1u^{m1}+b_1(x)u^m+{\delta}_1v^n),\;\\div(|{\nabla}_v|^{q-2}{\nabla}v)=v(a_2v^{r1}+b_2(x)v^r+{\delta}_2u^s)$, in $\Omega$ where m > $m_1$ > p-2, r > $r_1$ > q-, p, q $\geq$ 2, and ${\Omega}{\subset}R^N$ is a smooth bounded domain. By constructing certain super and subsolutions, we show the existence of positive blow-up solutions and give a global estimate.

  • In this paper we investigate a relation between the multiplicity of solutions and source terms in a nonlinear suspension bridge equation in the interval $(-\frac{2}{\pi}, \frac{2}{\pi})$, under Dirichlet boundary condition $$ (0.1) u_{tt} + u_{xxxx} + bu^+ = f(x) in (-\frac{2}{\pi}, \frac{2}{\pi}) \times R, $$ $$ (0.2) u(\pm\frac{2}{\pi}, t) = u_{xx}(\pm\frac{2}{\pi}, t) = 0, $$ $$ (0.3) u is \pi - periodic in t and even in x and t, $$ where the nonlinearity - $(bu^+)$ crosses an eigenvalue $\lambda_{10}$. This equation represents a bending beam supported by cables under a load f. The constant b represents the restoring force if the cables stretch. The nonlinearity $u^+$ models the fact that cables expansion but do not resist compression.

  • A guanidinium salt of $[U(PW_{11}O_{39})_2]^{10-}$, the solubility of which is adequate for crystal growing, has been synthesized. Using this salt or potassium salt, we have measured the stability of $[U(PW_{11}O_{39})_2]^{10-}$as a function of pH of the solution and found that the anion is stable for the pH range 3~7. We have developed a colorimetric method for determining the concentration of $U^{4+}$. In this method$PW_{11}O_{39}^{7-}$ is added to$U^{4+}$ in such a quantity that the mole ratio $PW_{11}O_{39}^{7-}/ U^{4+}$exceeds 2 and the intensity of the 22.7kK band (${\varepsilon}$1030 M-1cm-1) is measured. In order to develop a continuous method to recover uranium, we have determined the amount of recoverd$PW_{11}O_{39}^{7-}$ after decomposing $[U(PW_{11}O_{39})_2]^{10}$- by adding either a base or an oxidizing agent. The percentage of $PW_{11}O_{39}^{7-}$recovered was approximately 70% when a base was used and approximately 80% when$K_2S_2O_8$ was used. A colorimetric method for determining $PW_{11}O_{39}^{7-}$ has also been developed.

  • Let R be a prime ring with center Z and characteristic different from two, U a nonzero Lie ideal of R such that $u^2{\in}U$ for all $u{\in}U$ and $d$ be a nonzero (${\sigma}$, ${\tau}$)-derivation of R. We prove the following results: (i) If $[d(u),u]_{{\sigma},{\tau}}$ = 0 or $[d(u),u]_{{\sigma},{\tau}}{\in}C_{{\sigma},{\tau}}$ for all $u{\in}U$, then $U{\subseteq}Z$. (ii) If $a{\in}R$ and $[d(u),a]_{{\sigma},{\tau}}$ = 0 for all $u{\in}U$, then $U{\subseteq}Z$ or $a{\in}Z$. (iii) If $d([u,v])={\pm}[u,v]_{{\sigma},{\tau}}$ for all $u{\in}U$, then $U{\subseteq}Z$.

  • According to the changes of the city's paradigm, the demand on u-City increases rapidly. u-City has been built at 54 areas in Korea (as of May 2009). One of the important determinants of success or failure in the increasing of u-City is how to provide u-Services. Most current u-Services are Sensor Network-based monitoring services to manage urban infrastructure. u-GIS is one of fundamental requirements to implement 'any time and any where' u-Service which covers the essential meaningful term "ubiquitous". Hence, in this paper, we 1) describe the definition of the spatial awareness, 2) discuss how to converge (Spatial Embedding) among different spatial data : topographic spatial data, sensor spatial data, and more, 3) bring forth an advanced form of u-Service, 4) analyze the state-of-the-art u-GIS techniques.

  • This paper presents characterizations on the independence of the exponential and Pareto distributions by record values. Let ${X_{n},\;n {\ge1}$ be a sequence of independent and identically distributed(i.i.d) random variables with a continuous cumulative distribution function(cdf) F(x) and probability density function(pdf) f(x). $Let{\;}Y_{n} = max{X_1, X_2, \ldots, X_n}$ for n \ge 1. We say $X_{j}$ is an upper record value of ${X_{n},{\;}n\ge 1}, if Y_{j} > Y_{j-1}, j > 1$. The indices at which the upper record values occur are given by the record times {u(n)}, n \ge 1, where u(n) = $min{j|j > u(n-1), X_{j} > X_{u(n-1)}, n \ge 2}$ and u(l) = 1.   • Si-rich-layer-coated U-7 wt%Mo plates were prepared in order to evaluate the diffusion barrier performance of the Si-rich layer in U-Mo vs. Al interdiffusion. Pure Si powder was used for coating the U-Mo plates by annealing at $900^{\circ}C$ for 1 h under vacuum of approximately 1 Pa. Si-rich layers containing more than 60 at% of Si were formed on U-7 wt%Mo plates. Diffusion couple tests were conducted in a muffle furnace at $560-600^{\circ}C$ under vacuum using Si-rich-layer-coated U-Mo plates and pure Al plates. Diffusion couple tests using uncoated U-Mo plates and Al-(0, 2 or 5 wt%)Si plates were also conducted for comparison. Si-rich-layer coatings were more effective in suppressing the interaction during diffusion couple tests between coated U-Mo plate and Al, when compared with U-Mo vs. Al-Si diffusion couples, since only small amounts of Al in the coating could be found after the diffusion couple tests. Si-rich-layer-coated U-7wt%Mo particles were also prepared using the same technique for U-7 wt%Mo plates to observe the microsturctures of the coated particles.

  • In the present paper, we are concerned with the existence of ground state sign-changing solutions for the following Schrödinger-Poisson-Kirchhoff system $$\;\{\begin{array}{lll}-(1+b{\normalsize\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_{{\mathbb{R}}^3}}}{\mid}{\nabla}u{\mid}^2dx){\Delta}u+V(x)u+k(x){\phi}u={\lambda}f(x)u+{\mid}u{\mid}^4u,&&\text{in }{\mathbb{R}}^3,\\-{\Delta}{\phi}=k(x)u^2,&&\text{in }{\mathbb{R}}^3,\end{array}$$ where b > 0, V (x), k(x) and f(x) are positive continuous smooth functions; 0 < λ < λ1 and λ1 is the first eigenvalue of the problem -∆u + V(x)u = λf(x)u in H. With the help of the constraint variational method, we obtain that the Schrödinger-Poisson-Kirchhoff type system possesses at least one ground state sign-changing solution for all b > 0 and 0 < λ < λ1. Moreover, we prove that its energy is strictly larger than twice that of the ground state solutions of Nehari type.
