u-주거공간의 u-서비스 추출 방법론 및 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the u-Residential Space Service : Focusing on u-Service Extraction and Application)

  • The u-City construction plan being executed presently involves such problem that services are provided in a suppliers-oriented direction while there are not much discussions on what u-Services citizens should be provided with and what u-Services that city government the supplier shall provide. In order to implement citizen-friendly u-Services the type of u-Services that offer just the right services efficient and convenient for citizens, u-Services should be provided based on active researches on the citizens' use and utilization of u-Services rather than u-Services being provided in suppliers' perspective as so far. To that end, there need be recognition and well-organized methodology that u-Services should be provided through humane, social and scientific analysis of the citizens that are to be provided with u-Services. Thus, in this study, the process of u-Services being transmitted was re-interpreted as background theory to deduce and apply services appropriate for u-Residential Space, and service science for u-Services the scientific and overall approach to seek for service innovation was applied to the development of u-Service deduction method based on such background theory. The u-Service methodology developed based on service science is judged able to deduce and provide u-Services appropriate for the intended services through scientific analysis of citizen-friendly u-Services.

모바일 서비스에 의한 u-City 서비스 활성화에 관한 연구 (A study on u-City services promotion by mobile services)

  • 본 논문은 u-City 서비스의 활성화를 위하여 모바일 서비스와 u-City 서비스의 연관 관계를 연구하였다. u-City에서는 u-IT기술을 기반으로 도시의 효율적인 관리 및 도시민의 편의를 위한 많은 서비스를 제공하고 있지만 대부분의 서비스가 도시의 운용이나 관리부분에 중점을 두고 있어 서비스가 활성화 되지 못하고 있는 것이 사실이다. 이에 우리는 u-City의 서비스를 일반 도시민이 실생활에서 언제 어디서나 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 모바일 라이프 서비스라는 개념을 제시하였다. 또한 이에 대한 유용성과 사용의사를 수도권 거주민을 대상으로 조사하여 분석하였다. 이러한 분석 자료를 통하여 본 논문은 모바일 라이프 서비스가 u-City 서비스를 활성화할 수 있음을 증명하였다.

유비쿼터스의 특성에 따른 사용자 중심의 u-서비스 가치 분류체계 (Proposing User-Oriented u-Service Classification by Ubiquitous Characteristic)

  • The concept of ubiquitous is being applied on diverse industry fields as a new growth engine in Korea. With constructing u-City, new services which are called 'ubiquitous services' are developed actively. Even though there are active movement to develop u-service, there is no clear definition of what service can be defined as ubiquitous service. Given that this study proposes a u-service value classification framework focusing on services' characteristics. We conducted experts' group interviews to analyze new operating or developing services whether it can be ubiquitous. Study results show that some services are hard to be defined as u-service, so this study offers possible improvement alternative. The u-service value classification which offers clear definition of u-service can be used for the practitioners offering measurement framework of u-service level.

U-City 서비스 분류체계의 적합성에 관한 질적 휴리스틱 분석 (Qualitative Validation of a U-City Services Typology Using Expert Heuristic)

  • KUbiquitous city(U-City) is a recent trend in urban planning and management across the globe. Currently, several typologies were developed and presented classifying U-City services, but validation research of these typologies are scarce. In this study, efforts were made to qualitatively validate the usability and practicality of a typology of u-city services. Using 228 U-City services identified in previous studies, classifying exercises were conducted against a typology. Three experts were involved in this expert heuristic exercise, against a most popularly used and comprehensive typology of U-City services. Findings indicates that the selected typology is high on comprehensive exhaustiveness, and empirical applicability while low on mutual exclusivity, simplicity and theoretical contribution. Implications for the typology improvement are suggested followed by limitations and directions for further research.

  • Recently, the development of u-City and u-City services have been actively pursued by individual local government bodies in South Korea. This study focuses on the development of u-Health service, one of the services of u-City, by studying u-Health services in development (domestic and foreign) and by analyzing and proposing the communication infrastructure required to provide such services. Mainly, this study will focus on analyzing the current trend in personal mobile device based u-Health services domestically and internationally, and propose a new type of u-Health service, u-Diet service. The study will introduce the architecture, service scenario, technologies, characteristics, and the business model for the u-Diet service. It is expected that this study will provide the guideline for developing new u-Health services.

Customer Perspective Analysis on Ubiquitous Healthcare Services

  • While ubiquitous healthcare (u-health) services were expected to propagate along with conventional healthcare services, recent progress indicated rather limited market acceptance. In this paper, we investigated the fundamental causes of why the consumer acceptance level of u-health services has been low. We draw upon innovation adoption theories to analyze the consumer readiness of the typical u-health services. The comparative analysis between innovative u-health services and conventional services was performed using analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Subsequently, policy and business implications including technological breakthrough insights were discussed based on the customer perspective comparative adoption analysis. The propositions captured through this study provide useful insight to further studies on u-health services.

유비쿼터스 서비스 수용모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Acceptance Model of Ubiquitous Services)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among users perception on the characteristics of U-Services, attitude factors as mediating variables, and behavioral intention toward U-Services as the dependent variable. Based on the literature review on the related theories, the research model which analyzes the behavioral intention toward U-Services was developed. The result from the analysis of the data collected validated the U-Services Acceptance Model (USAM) proposed in this study as a sound construct framework. Futhermore, significant insights on the USAM were provided for the stakeholders and future researchers in the field of U-Services Acceptance.

시나리오 경영기법을 적용한 U-City 서비스 시나리오 개발 방안 연구: u-수질 모니터링 서비스를 중심으로 (A Study on the Development Methodology of the U-City Service Scenarios which Apply the Scenario Management Techniques)

  • U-City의 구현을 위해서는 다양한 분야의 u-Service를 필요로 한다. 각 지자체들이 경쟁적으로 U-City 건설 및 u-Service 발굴을 추진하고 있으며 여러 연구들을 통해 그 경제적 파급효과도 클 것으로 기대된다. 이에 정부도 다양한 정책 및 시책을 내놓고 있다. 하지만, U-City 서비스 관련 많은 연구들은 기술 중심으로 접근하고 있으며, 복잡하고 다원적인 U-City 환경을 명확히 반영하고 있지 못하다. 이러한 현상은 U-City를 기획함에 있어서 미래의 환경변화를 예측하기 어려운 상황에 기인한 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 불투명한 U-City 방향성을 가시화하기 위하여 시나리오 경영기법을 적용하였다. 그 과정에서 U-City 전문가들과 인터뷰 및 설문조사를 시행하여 U-City 구축에 있어서의 불투명성을 확인 하였다. 시나리오 적용 타당성을 살펴보기 위해서 'u-수질 모니터링 서비스를 적용하여 설명하였다. 여러 논의를 거친 후, 유관기관과의 상호연계 서비스, 지자체간 상호연계 서비스 등 두 가지의 시나리오를 개발하여 제시하였다. 제시된 시나리오를 바탕으로 U-City 서비스 전략을 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 U-City 개발 관련자들은 U-City의 특정을 예측하고 서비스 시나리오를 개발하는 프레임워크의 기초로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • With the introduction of the ubiquitous technology, the housing culture centers of construction companies have demonstrated future housing image and technology. However, ubiquitous home services are technology oriented items. The purpose of this study was to identify u- services which were realized in domestic future housing and to compare those with services the residents needed greatly refer to researches related to demand for u-service. For this study, field studies were conducted with 3 domestic future housings and precedent studies on demand for u-service were analyzed according to the standard of residents' demand. The results of the study showed that residents prefer u-services for security and control of indoor environment for housework and leisure life. As a result, u-services which residents needed mainly did not correspond with those that were displayed in future housing.

U-City 분야별 서비스에 대한 선호도 분석 (Preference Analysis for U-City Services)

  • U-City applies ubiquitous information technologies such as RFID, GPS, USN to various components of city functions and services. The concept of U-City was popularized especially in Korea and currently more than 40 projects have been carrying out all over country. U-City incorporates advanced information communication technologies into ubiquitous information services to provide better quality of life. The purpose of this study is to analyze preferences for the U-City services by surveying experts in U-City developing companies. This study employs Analytic Hierarchy Process which is very useful tool for performing multi-criteria decision making. Total of 28 responses were used in the analysis. The results indicated that the first 7 most preferred items were from transportation and safety area and environment and healthcare area and 4 out of 6 items in transportation and safety area were ranked among them. It implies that respondents consider countering anxiety caused by congested traffic, natural disasters, crimes, etc most important aspect that U-City should deal with. On the other hand, U-Port, U-Convention, U-Logistics, U-Public Administration and U-City Portal were listed as the least preferred services.
