  • 최근 전 세계적으로 서비스 산업의 노동력 비중이 늘어나고 서비스업 뿐만 아니라 농업 및 제조업 분야에서도 서비스의 가치 비중이 높아지고 있다. 그러나 최근까지 서비스는 대부분 제공자의 직관과 경험에 의존하여 운영되었기 때문에 서비스의 성과와 고객 만족도는 미미한 수준에 그칠 수밖에 없었다. 이에 따라 서비스의 생산성을 향상시키고 서비스 수준을 혁신하는 방법을 찾는 것이 산업 사회의 주요 현안으로 떠올랐고 이러한 배경 하에 서비스업의 본질을 과학적으로 규명하여 서비스 분야의 혁신을 이루기 위해 경영학, 사회과학, 산업공학 등 여러 분야의 지식을 종합하여 서비스 과학(Services Science)이라는 새로운 학문 분야를 만들려는 움직임이 일기 시작했다. 서비스 과학의 목적은 공급자와 고객 사이에 가치를 창출하는 일련의 과정인 서비스를 보다 과학적인 방법을 통하여 측정하고 예측할 수 있는 것으로 변환시킴으로써 서비스의 미래 가치와 위험을 정량적으로 예측하고 나아가 서비스의 성과와 만족도를 높이는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 U-city 건설에 중추적 역할을 할 것으로 기대되는 지리정보시스템(GIS)의 비즈니스 모델을 대상으로, GIS 정보 서비스의 특성을 규명하여 이러한 정보 서비스가 높은 생산성을 갖기 위한 방안으로서 다학제적 관점의 공유를 통해 다양한 학문 분야의 지식을 종합 적용하고 서비스의 특성을 고려하여 직관과 경험이 아닌 과학적인 도구와 방법론을 통해 GIS 정보 서비스를 관리할 것을 제안한다.

  • Rapid transition to aging society faces many problems. Also there are so many issues related people with disabilities. Disabled and elderly population growth is causing serious social problems. The purpose of this study is to solve the graying society-problem and improve old people's quality of life as well as the disabled's. The main goal of this study is the design of the master plan for ubiquitous-city by referring the 'Ubiquitous urban planning guidelines' of MLTM(Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs). For research and development, there is divided by a spatial scope and content scope. As reference model-type, the spatial scope is to pursue maximum function by using minimum system organization and virtual city-set. The content scope consists of services for the disabled and aged, information management, construction management, compatible & connection and Executive Management. The result of this study will contribute to solve the social problems with aged and disabled and advance ubiquitous-environment by improving people's quality of life.

Rank-Size Distribution with Web Document Frequency of City Name : Case study with U.S incorporated places of 100,000 or more population (인터넷 문서빈도를 통해 본 도시순위규모에 관한 연구 -미국 10만 이상의 인구를 갖는 도시들을 사례로-)

  • In this study, web document frequency of city place name is analyzed and it is used as the dataset for rank-size analysis. The search keywords are compared in the context of spatial meaning and the different domain corpus is applied. The acquired search results are applied for the further analysis. Firstly, the rank-size analysis is applied to compare the result between population and document frequency. Secondly, in case of correlation analysis, the significant changes are revealed when the spatial criteria for search keywords are increased. In case of corpus, COM, NET, and ORG shows the higher coefficient values. Lastly, the cluster analysis is applied to classify the list of cities that shows the similarity and difference. These analyses have a significant role in representing the rank-size distribution of city names that are reflected on the web documents in the information society.

  • 시스템의 규모가 대형화되어 감에 '시스템의 시스템'의 형태로써 대규모 사이즈의 프로그램 다양한 목적을 가진 사용자들, 대규모 저장 데이터양과 처리, 소프트웨어 컴포넌트간의 복잡한 연결상과 상호 의존성, 하드웨어의 다양성등을 포함하는 초대형 규모로 발전하고 있다. 또한 유, 무선 인터넷의 보편화와 소형기기들의 인터넷화 및 기존 서비스들의 개방화가 진행됨에 따라 새로운 독자적인 서비스를 만들기 보다는 SOA기반의 기존 시스템을 통합하여 새로운 서비스를 만드는 시도가 일어나고 있다. 최근 진행되고 있는 국가 및 산업의 대형 프로젝트들은 이러한 흐름에 따라 IT기술을 융합한 소프트웨어 기반의 초 대형 시스템 (Ultra Large Scale System)을 필요로 하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 정보와 시스템의 대규모화에 대한 즉각적인 대처를 할 수 있는 Ultra Large Scale 시스템의 자율적응형 (Self-Adaptive) 기술 연구를 위하여 Self-Healing, Self-Integrating, Self-Orchestrating, Self-Managing, Self-Adaptring의 5가지 관점에서의 연구를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하고 있는 연구의 파급 효과를 극대화 할 수 있는 영역은 e-Biz 시스템 u-city 시스템, USN 기반 물류 시스템 자동차 및 조선 사업의 IT융합 등의 대규모 시스템이 될 것이다.

  • This study deals with the systematic classification and analysis of urban facilities as a fundamental foundation of the intelligent and active management of urban facilities using Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN). In the results of recent studies, the necessities and simple examples of USN application were already shown, but there were few studies about the systematic classification and specific application methods considering characteristics of urban facilities. In this study, we try to classify the main management characteristics of facilities and analyze the results, furthermore to contribute to the development of convergence of facility management and USN technology.

  • 기존의 디스플레이는 2차원적인 평면 이미지만을 제공하고 있으며, 3차원 이미지를 제공하기 위해서는 추가적인 장비를 설치해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 일반적으로 널리 쓰이는 LCD 디스플레이 내부에 3차원 입체적인 이미지를 제공하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 사용자의 위치를 추적할 때 적외선 카메라를 사용함으로써 사용자는 별도의 장비를 사용하지 않아도 된다. u-City 환경에서 이와 같은 방법으로 GIS 정보가 LCD 디스플레이 내부에 입체적인 형태로 보다 효과적으로 보여진다.

An Analysis of Books Selected in 10 Years of 'The Big Read' Reading Initiative ('The Big Read' 독서 이니셔티브 10년과 선정 책의 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of books selected for 'The Big Read' community reading initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts from 2006 to 2017 and its relation with 'One Book, One City' community reading campaign in the U.S.A. An analysis of 1,407 TBR programs and 745 participating communities, and 56 books from TBR Library shows that TBR expands and complements 'One Book' reading campaigns, and confirms the sustenance of this innovative model. TBR Libray books were selected with TBR's own criteria, but their features are generally very similar to those of 1,102 books selected for 'One Book' programs. They often reflect some interests in such universal values as coming of age, justice, integrity, etc. and diverse cultural experiences and life. The outcomes of 'One Book' and TBR cannot be qualitatively measured, but their sustainable value of communication through one selected book has been well proved.

  • Seoul city provided u-tourism services for inbound tourists' convenience. These services began in April, 2010 and were completed in advanced way by the end of 2011. Seoul city developed a brand fit to the new services simultaneously for communicating it. Recently, there are so many cities in the world that steadily try to give favorable impression and images to people. In the study, we analyze the process of brand building to present a guideline for city brand and tourism service brand building. The study includes a series of brand making process such as environment of brand, customer analysis, design of brand platform, brand hierarchy, visualization of various brand factors, strategies of operation and performances of brand awareness and draw a conclusion and suggest an advice. As for implication, the study shows the necessity of service brand launching plus Seoul official brand(Hi, Seoul), the service brand including ubiquitous concept, development of brand factors with complementarity and observation of systematical methodology.

A Study of the Census, Digital Maps, and GIS Applications of the Census Data for Urban and Environmental Analysis (도시·환경분석을 위한 센서스와 수치지도의 통합에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the ways to supplement the Census, the digital maps, and their integration in comparison with the U.S. Census and the TIGER file and in light of their usefulness for urban and environmental analysis in Korea. Recommendations in this study are: (1) to include questions on household income and housing price in the Census, (2) to implement a 1~5% sampling survey similar to PUMS in the U.S. Census, (3) to make the Census Tract as a minimum size unit of analysis through subdivision of current Eup, Myon, and Dong into 5~10 smaller units, and (4) to utilize the 1:5,000 scale digital maps completed by the Korea National Geographic Institute for the fast and efficient activation of digital maps instead of producing 1:1,000 or 1:1,200 scale digital maps through each city's effort.

An SNS Based Construction Information Communication and Sharing System (SNS기반 건설현장 정보소통 및 공유 시스템 구축)

  • Although various IT-based services including PMIS are used at construction field, there have been limits on communications, such as fast reaction, information loss, and information security in the real world. Therefore, this paper proposes to adapt a social network service (SNS) that has already been used for information management and sharing information at the company level in other industries in order to support construction information management and communication in a fast and accurate manner. Following the requirement analysis through literature review and site interviews, the paper presents an SNS-based construction information communication and sharing system named PMIS+. PMIS+ was tested and validated for its feasibility at construction sites and it was proved that the proposed system and information management framework using the system could be helpful for effective information management at construction fields.
