Sentiment lexicon is an essential element for expressing sentiment on a text or recognizing sentiment from a text. We propose a graph-based semi-supervised learning method to construct a sentiment dictionary as sentiment lexicon set. In particular, we focus on the construction of domain-specific sentiment dictionary. The proposed method makes up a graph according to lexicons and proximity among lexicons, and sentiments of some lexicons which already know their sentiment values are propagated throughout all of the lexicons on the graph. There are two typical types of the sentiment lexicon, sentiment words and sentiment phrase, and we construct a sentiment dictionary by creating each graph of them and infer sentiment of all sentiment lexicons. In order to verify our proposed method, we constructed a sentiment dictionary specific to the movie domain, and conducted sentiment classification experiments with it. As a result, it have been shown that the classification performance using the sentiment dictionary is better than the other using typical general-purpose sentiment dictionary.

Purpose: The 1p36 deletion syndrome is a microdeletion syndrome characterized by developmental delays/intellectual disability, craniofacial dysmorphism, and other congenital anomalies. To date, many cases of this syndrome have been reported worldwide. However, cases with this syndrome have not been reported in Korean populations anywhere. This study was performed to report the clinical and molecular characteristics of five Korean patients with the 1p36 deletion syndrome. Methods: The clinical characteristics of the 5 patients were reviewed. Karyotyping and multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) analyses were performed for genetic diagnoses. Results: All 5 patients had typical dysmorphic features including frontal bossing, flat right parietal bone, low-set ears, straight eyebrows, down-slanting palpebral fissure, hypotelorism, flat nasal roots, midface hypoplasia, pointed chins, small lips, and variable degrees of developmental delay. Each patient had multiple and variable anomalies such as a congenital heart defect including ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, and patent duct arteriosus, ventriculomegaly, cryptorchism, or hearing loss. Karyotyping revealed the 1p36 deletion in only 1 patient, although it was confirmed in all 5 patients by MLPA analyses. Conclusion: All the patients had the typical features of 1p36 deletion. These hallmarks can be used to identify other patients with this condition in their early years in order to provide more appropriate care.
The goal of this paper is to set the research and development (R&D) strategic plan of Honam Sea Grant (HSG) program which is to secure the base technologies for the success of Jeollanamdo's policy projects in the area of maritime and fisheries. HSG's mission is to support science-based sustainable management, conservation and enhancement of Honam coastal and aquatic resources through research, extension and education. Firstly, 80 cases of Jeollanam-do's policy project and 48 cases of HSG's R&D project are compiled and classified into the five areas of maritime and fisheries. Secondly, typical key words are extracted from each five areas and assessed the inherent meanings of each key words using quarterly segmented meaning allocation techniques with 'intended for practical use', 'intended for theoretical use', 'intended for future', and 'intended for current'. Then, we proposed R&D strategic plan based on the evaluation results and, it's practical use is also discussed.
In contrast to content_based filtering systems, collaborative filtering systems not only don't contain information of items, they can not recommend items when users don't provide the information of their interests. In this paper, we propose the recommender agent using association item tree to solve the shortcomings of collaborative filtering systems. Firstly, the proposed method clusters users into groups using vector space model and K-means algorithm and selects group typical rating values. Secondly, the degree of associations between items is extracted from computing mutual information between items and an associative item tree is generated by group. Finally, the method recommends items to an active user by using a group typical rating value and an association item tree. The recommender agent recommends items by combining user information with item information. In addition, it can accurately recommend items to an active user, whose information is insufficient at first rate, by using an association item tree based on mutual information for the similarity between items. The proposed method is compared with previous methods on the data set of MovieLens recommender system.
In this paper we consider an application of the method of electromagnetic (EM) migration to the interpretation of a typical marine controlled-source (MCSEM) survey consisting of a set of sea-bottom receivers and a moving electrical bipole transmitter. Three-dimensional interpretation of MCSEM data is a very challenging problem because of the enormous number of computations required in the case of the multi-transmitter and multi-receiver data acquisition systems used in these surveys. At the same time, we demonstrate that the MCSEM surveys with their dense system of transmitters and receivers are extremely well suited for application of the migration method. In order to speed up the computation of the migration field, we apply a fast form of integral equation (IE) solution based on the multigrid quasi-linear (MGQL) approximation which we have developed. The principles of migration imaging formulated in this paper are tested on a typical model of a sea-bottom petroleum reservoir.
A non-volatile resistive random access memory (RRAM) device with a Cr-doped $SrZrO_3/SrRuO_3$ bottom electrode heterostructure was fabricated on $SrTiO_3$ substrates using pulsed laser deposition. During the deposition process, the substrate temperature was $650^{\circ}C$ and the variable ambient oxygen pressure had a range of 50-250 mTorr. The sensitive dependences of the film structure on the processing oxygen pressure are important in controlling the bistable resistive switching of the Cr-doped $SrZrO_3$ film. Therefore, oxygen pressure plays a crucial role in determining electrical properties and film growth characteristics such as various microstructural defects and crystallization. Inside, the microstructure and crystallinity of the Cr-doped $SrZrO_3$ film by oxygen pressure were strong effects on the set, reset switching voltage of the Cr-doped $SrZrO_3$. The bistable switching is related to the defects and controls their number and structure. Therefore, the relation of defects generated and resistive switching behavior by oxygen pressure change will be discussed. We found that deposition conditions and ambient oxygen pressure highly affect the switching behavior. It is suggested that the interface between the top electrode and Cr-doped $SrZrO_3$ perovskite plays an important role in the resistive switching behavior. From I-V characteristics, a typical ON state resistance of $100-200\;{\Omega}$ and a typical OFF state resistance of $1-2\;k{\Omega}$, were observed. These transition metal-doped perovskite thin films can be used for memory device applications due to their high ON/OFF ratio, simple device structure, and non-volatility.
In many international financing transactions Korean companies are required to issue a guarantee. Thus far, however, legal issues on international guarantees have not been fully discussed in Korea. This is partly because most of the international guarantees are governed by a foreign law such as English law or the laws of the State of New York. In this articles the author examines major concepts or terms and conditions of a typical international guarantee, e.g., language on consideration, primary obligor, joint and several guarantee, unconditional and irrevocable guarantee, continuing guarantee, right of subrogation, representations and warranties, covenant or undertaking, currency indemnity, assignment, participation, governing law and jurisdiction clause, etc. For reference, standard forms of a guarantee and a standby letter of credit are attached to the article. In examining the terms and conditions, the author compares them with similar or equivalent concepts under Korean law. The author further discusses some Korean law issues that may arise under international guarantees governed by a foreign law. These issues include the application of the ultra vires doctrine under Article 34 of the Civil Code of Korea, the validity of an international guarantee which a Korean company has issued in violation of the guarantee ceiling set under Article 10 of the Law on Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade of Korea and the validity of an international guarantee which a Korean party has issued in violation of the Foreign Exchange Transaction Law. In addition, the author discusses some issues under a so-called independent guarantee and a standby letter of credit. In this regard, reference is made to the Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantee (URDG), International Standby Practices (ISP98) and the Convention on Independent Guarantees and Stand-by Letters of Credit adopted by the United Nations in 1995. Finally, the author examines major terms and conditions of typical comfort letters and discusses some legal issues, such as the binding force of the comfort letter. In dealing with the issues the author underscores that to the extent the issues are not properly dealt with by an international norm such as Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits or ISP 98, the issues must be analyzed by reference to the governing law of the relevant instrument.
Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate how well eye movement times in visual target selection tasks by an eye input device follows the typical Fitts' Law and to compare vertical and horizontal eye movement times. Background: Typically manual pointing provides excellent fit to the Fitts' Law model. However, when an eye input device is used for the visual target selection tasks, there were some debates on whether the eye movement times in can be described by the Fitts' Law. More empirical studies should be added to resolve these debates. This study is an empirical study for resolving this debate. On the other hand, many researchers reported the direction of movement in typical manual pointing has some effects on the movement times. The other question in this study is whether the direction of eye movement also affects the eye movement times. Method: A cursor movement times in visual target selection tasks by both input devices were collected. The layout of visual targets was set up by two types. Cursor starting position for vertical movement times were in the top of the monitor and visual targets were located in the bottom, while cursor starting positions for horizontal movement times were in the right of the monitor and visual targets were located in the left. Results: Although eye movement time was described by the Fitts' Law, the error rate was high and correlation was relatively low ($R^2=0.80$ for horizontal movements and $R^2=0.66$ for vertical movements), compared to those of manual movement. According to the movement direction, manual movement times were not significantly different, but eye movement times were significantly different. Conclusion: Eye movement times in the selection of visual targets by an eye-gaze input device could be described and predicted by the Fitts' Law. Eye movement times were significantly different according to the direction of eye movement. Application: The results of this study might help to understand eye movement times in visual target selection tasks by the eye input devices.

In this paper, we propose new smoothing filters, i.e., occluding patterns that can accurately correct disparities of occluded areas in the estimated disparity map. An image is composed of several layers and each layer presents similar disparity. Furthermore, the distribution of the estimated disparities has a specific direction around the boundary of the occlusion, and this distribution presents the different direction with respect to the left- and the right-based disparity map. However, typical smoothing filters, such as mean filter and median filter, did not take into account those characteristic. So, they can decrease some error, but they cannot guarantee the accuracy of the corrected disparity. On the contrary, occluding patterns can accurately correct disparities of occluded areas because they consider both the characteristic that occlusion occurs and the characteristic that disparities of the occlusion are ranged, from estimated disparity maps with respect to the left and the right images. We made experiments on occluding patterns with some real stereo image set, and as a result, we can correct disparities of occluded areas more accurately than typical smoothing filters did.
Temporal data mining, the incorporation of temporal semantics to existing data mining techniques, refers to a set of techniques for discovering implicit and useful temporal knowledge from temporal data. Association rules and classification are applied to various applications which are the typical data mining problems. However, these approaches do not consider temporal attribute and have been pursued for discovering knowledge from static data although a large proportion of data contains temporal dimension. Also, data mining researches from temporal data treat problems for discovering knowledge from data stamped with time point and adding time constraint. Therefore, these do not consider temporal semantics and temporal relationships containing data. This paper suggests that temporal associative classification technique based on temporal class association rules. This temporal classification applies rules discovered by temporal class association rules which extends existing associative classification by containing temporal dimension for generating temporal classification rules. Therefore, this technique can discover more useful knowledge in compared with typical classification techniques.
