The purposes of this study were (1) to examine the dimensionality of shopping-mall attribute for cosmetics retailers, (2) to determine which dimensions of shopping-mall attribute were significant predictors of consumer satisfaction and revisit intention and (3) to find out the moderating effect of consumer satisfaction through shopping-mall attributes on revisit intention to buy cosmetics across the types of shopping-mall at Internet (i.e., total mall and specialty mall). Data were collected from 209 online cosmetic shoppers among high school girls. Factor analysis identified five dimensions of shopping-mall attributes at Internet, such as Convenience, Price, Loading speed, Sales promotion, and Service. Only two dimensions(i.e., convenience and service) were significant predictors of online shopper satisfaction in both total mall and specialty mall. The moderating effect of consumer satisfaction on revisit intention was significant in both two mall types at Internet. For total mall, price was a significant predictor through consumer satisfaction on revisit intention, while loading speed was a significant predictor directly on revisit intention for specialty mall. • The prior studies for consumer-brand relationships vested brands with personalities after had personified them. In these studies, a brand become the object of consumer's attitude, and former researchers investigated the types and styles of consumer-brand relationships based on this theory. However, I though that these studies did not follow the original concept of 'relationship' for they approached consumer as the subject and a brand as the object.

Selective empathy is identified as the happy ending type of branded contents had a greater effect on consumer's negative responses than the non-happy ending type of. It is an apparent new phenomenon shown among the young after 2000s. Moreover, the interaction between contents' ending types and the level of product involvement had a significant effect on consumer's negative responses. Two interaction terms (i.e. happy ending and low product involvement; non-happy ending and high product involvement) are the viable message strategies to weaken the consumer responses in terms of 'dislike'.

  • Despite the abundance of research on alcoholic-beverage consumption in the food and beverage marketing literature, research directly assessing and comparing consumers' psychological motives for drinking different types of alcoholic beverages is relatively limited. There is also a paucity of research comparing drink-type specific consumption motivations in an Asian market. Paying attention to some recent new changes in the alcoholic-beverages market of South Korea, this study investigated South Korean young adult female consumers' alcoholic-beverage type-specific drinking motives. A self-administered online survey of 340 young adult female drinkers about their alcohol-consumption patterns, alcoholic-drink preferences, involvement with alcohol, and four types of drinking motives (coping, social, conformity, and enhancement motives) revealed differences in: (1) the association between the consumer's alcohol involvement level, alcohol consumption frequency/amount, and preferences for alcoholic beverages across different types of alcoholic drinks; (2) the underlying psychological motives for drinking different types of alcoholic beverages; (3) the association between consumption contexts and alcoholic drink types; and (4) the consumption patterns and drinking motives across different consumer groups that are segmented in terms of their most preferred type of alcoholic beverages. These findings point to the importance of investigating drink-type-specific consumption motivations in alcoholic-beverage consumption research. Limitations and implications for future research are also discussed.

  • In this study, those previous research works are reviewed and summarized in various contexts, and this paper also describes the results of an empirical study done for the sample business workers in Korea, analyzing SQC and consumer's value. The surveyed data are statistically analysed to examine the relationship between SQC acquisition and consumer's value in the lodging industry, considering additional factors of business types of companies as well as the consumer's using purpose of service facilities. The important findings of the study can be summarized as follows: First, the business types of companies is an insignificant factor on the consumer's value by the quality certificated services, while the using purpose of service facilities(Hotel and Pension) is an significant factor. Second, the descriptive result is shown that consumers are willing to pay 21.47~31.24 % more than the un-certificated services for quality-certificated services. On the basis of these findings, some practical implications can be drawn for the effective management of the lodging industry. When a firm decides to establish a business plan, it should be considered the using purpose of service facilities.
