The project of Construction of Siem Reap bypass road in Cambodia consists of alignment improvement of existing route, extension of width of road and laterite paving. This project is carried out by fast-track method on the design and construction for bypass road of 15.2 km length and 8m width for five months. Though some difficulties for the construction works such as the location of borrow pit and rock source, rainy seasons etc, the construction could be completed successfully owing to the cooperation of related authorities, company and residents. This 2 way Angkor detouring road will function as industrial roads in Siemreap region. These new two roads will not only bring better logistics requirements and safety, but also impact to poverty alleviation and preservation the beauty of the ecological environment of Angkor region. The basic information related to geotechnical engineering of this project is introduced.
Recently, cosmetic shops are facing a complicate economy situation and a great number of brands are attempting two-way communication with customers, not one-way communication. 'Brand' equity is important to deliver virtual brand mark as visual image. We have 4 steps for brand identity structure, and this study is about the first 'brand-awareness' and the second step 'brand-image'. We investigated the correlation between brand-awareness and brand-image after searching which spatial elements are highly effective to both steps as we designated 5 cosmetic shops. We already organized the means of spatial analysis and we separated into two elements, constructive and decorative. For constructive element, a shop needs a distinct ceiling and wall design, and for decorative element, strong brand image communication is required through showcase design. We proved that brand awareness and brand image have the correlation, which also can be in direct proportion, by regression analysis. The result of this study shows that improving brand awareness as the primary element for cosmetic road shop can be an effective way to enhance brand image.

In this paper, we propose the visual simulation system for virtual reality motion rider system. The visual simulation system can apply verity virtual reality system. This paper deals with programs on 3D automatic creation of terrain, road design, and a realtime rendering program for the virtual reality system. For the 3D automatic creation of terrain, DEM data and rectangular grid method are applied. We can make two different road object with the road design program. One of them includes road definition, and the other is obtained by using 'NURBS curve.' Visual simulation is consisted by additional modeling and real-time rendering. We can apply the programs made in this way to visual system of driving simulator.

Road lighting has emerged in importance as an essential system to secure safety and visibility for drivers and pedestrians. According to the Road Lighting Standards (KS A 3701), the luminance uniformity (U0) should be 0.4, the luminance uniformity for lanes (UI) should be 0.5, and a threshold increment (TI) of 10% should be satisfied. In this study, we conducted simulations using the Relux program in which the secondary optical lens was applied to a 21 W engine. Ten LED engines were installed on a two-way four-lane road, and the simulation result satisfied the requirements with U0 0.47, UI 0.63 and TI 8%. The U0, UI, and TI were compared with the angle of the LED streetlight varied in the range of $9^{\circ}{\sim}15^{\circ}$ with $0.5^{\circ}$ intervals. The range was selected as ${\pm}25%$ of the standard inclination angle of $12^{\circ}$ according to the Road Lighting Standard. The U0 was high and the UI and TI were low when the tilting angle was in the range of $9.5^{\circ}{\sim}10.5^{\circ}$. Consequently, an optimum-design of lighting distribution was obtained for the concrete two-way four-lane road when the inclination angle was $9^{\circ}$.
Two-Lane, two-way roads account for approximately 92% of total road length in Korea and accomplish the majority of regional transport activities. Nevertheless not too many research have been made on two-lane roads particularly efficiency related topics such as capacity and travel time studies. In this study a full scale data collection was conducted using video equippments on rural two-lane roads to determine capacity Passenger Car Equivalents(PCE) and Level of Service criterion. Various PC programs were utilized to reduce traffic data and Walker ME? and Headway Method were employed to determine PCE's for heavy vehicles. The reseach has shown that capacity and PCE's for two-land two-way roads in Korea are 3200 pcph and 1.1∼1.9 resectively. In addition percent time delay was used as the basis of developing Level of service criterion on two-lane roads in Korea.
This study presents an RTS(Real-time Traffic System) based on an LBS(Location Based Service) using 5.8~5.9GHz RSU(Road Side Unit). The proposed LBI(Location based Broadcast system on ITS) is a local information-based service supported by RSU for drivers, which has a feature of convergence between T-DMB system and ITS-based RTS. The convergence of local broadcasting station and ITS is realized by two-way communication and supports LBS(Location Based Service) by identifying of vehicle's location using RSU. Real-time information delivery and various services could be provided by information exchanges between LMM and local broadcasting stations. Furthermore, conventional technical limitations have been solved mutually such as transmission area limitation in RTS and one-way communication problem in T-DMB. This support real-time two-way communication to each driver. Therefore, it can be expected that traffic dispersion effects and services expansion for drivers by RTS and LBI. Finally, it is proposed to built and implement test-bed around institute.
It seems that outdoor-space has been properly neither planned nor used in the Mixed-Use Dwellings. The purpose of this research is to analyze the present condition and problems of outdoor-space utilization in the Mixed-Use Dwellings to find the application and the correlativity between outdoor-space types and forming factors. The results are as follows; 1) Entire samples of outdoor-space are classified into 6 groups by the road and site jointing type and the building layout type. 2) There are 5 prime factors forming and utilizing outdoor-space, which are the hierarchy of the road, the way of parking area utilization, the types of business in the commercial part, combining type of two uses which are residential and commercial, and the type of access to each part of them. 3) Amongst the factors, the way of parking area utilization, combining type, and the type of access are greatly related to the type of outdoor-space in the Mixed-Use Dwellings.
Because recently(July 14, 2011) fire occurred in the engine room of a moving taxi under Namsan Tunnel 1, 51 vehicles' driver and more than 250 passengers in the road tunnel were urgently evacuated with abandoned vehicles. Vehicle fires in Namsan Tunnel that day, Sufferers struggled to escape quickly difficult to escape the two-way by abandoned vehicles on the road and to fear many casualties by using vehicle fuel and combustible interior and the driver who is ignorant of vehicle accident continuous entered in the road tunnel had accessibility the site of fire department was more difficult. In this study, It is to investigate structure and basic materials, such as fire extinguish equipment and facilities for damage prevention and to analyze the problems and to plan improvement method of fire extinguish equipment, facilities for damage prevention and transportation facilities(Large traffic signs, Breaker, etc.) on the Namsan Tunnel that in the long-term plan is prepared to strengthen for accessibility of the site of fire department in case of Vehicle's fire.

Inchon International Airport Elevated Road Way is located between the Passenger Terminal Building and Transportaion Center which are Inchon International Airport core construction projects. The deck of the bridge is consists of 5-span or 6-span continuous pre-stressed concrete slab. Steel form has been used to enhance the quality of texture on concrete slab. Steel form has been used to enhance the quality of texture on concrete surface, lower surface of deck slab with the two way arch has been manufactured by highly professional manner in order to get an beautiful exterior architectural looks. The prestressed concrete deck slab is mass concrete structures with a high-specified concrete strength and a varying section in the range of 0.95-2.8m thickness. Therefore high risks of thermal cracking occurrence by heat of hydration highly are expected. To resolve such problem, we adopted type 1 cement and pipe cooking method at construction site through mass concrete specimen test and 3-dimensional analysis. For Pipe cooling we used 25mm diameter stainless pipes with wrinkles. Cooling pipe with spacing 50-60cm has been installed. And continuous pipe cooling with cooling water of 15$^{\circ}C$ was conducted for 2days. In present 8 span of all 29 spans construction has been completed. No thermal cracking heat hydration has been observed yet.
Namsan road are taxis in the engine room fires (07/14/2011 18:05) in the tunnel, and the driver of the vehicle was 100 passenger car and more than 500 evacuated were disasters. Pole road vehicles within the tunnel if there is a fire tunnel fire occurred at a two-way evacuation difficult and rapid evacuation is difficult and mass casualties are concerned, the number of casualties is feared. In this study, by considering the problems and improve the Namsan 1,2,3 Tunnel In case of fire, the best disaster response is to come up with ways.
