  • Histochemical experiment was carry out respectively to confirm the properties of the salis (Achatina fulica and Incilaria fruhstorferi). SDS-PAGE was carried out to compare and invertigate the distribution aspects of protein patterns between the two species. Five types(A, B, F, H and I)of gland cells with four neutral mucopolysaccharide cells and one acid mucopolysaccharide cells and one acid mucopolysaccharide cell were observed in acinous of Achatina fulica, while six types were observed in acinous of Incilaria fruhstorferi: ond acid mucopolysaccharide cell(type-A) and four neutral mucopolysaccharide cells(type-B, C, D and F) and one cell that acid mucopolysaccharide is only mimbrane that surrounded granule(type-E). The results are follows:The thpe-A fland cell is commonly observed between the two species. The type-A gland cell in Achatina fulica possesses a nucleus with a developed heterdchromatin, and the cytoplasm was filled with round granules. The granules were surrounded with an uncertain boundary mimbrane and confirmed with neutral mucopolysaccharides, but is confirmed acid mucopolysaccharide in Incilaria fruhstorferi. The type-B gland cell is obwerved in the two species, too. The type-B gland cell in Achatina fulica was round shaped, and included an evenly alrge nucleus. The uncleoplasm included granules that were confirmed in the neutral mucopolysaccharides of the two species. The type-C and D gland cells exist only in Incilaria fruhstorferi, nucleoplasm was well developed heterochromatins. The type-E gland cell appears in the acinous surrounded the salivary gland of Incilaria fruhstorferi. Thdse granules appear irregular irregular shape and size and the cytoplasm is formed in alveolar. The type-F gland cells are commonly observed in the salivary glands of the two species. They are similar with the type-B gland cell, but the granular shape is comparatively small and irregular, and possess the neutral mucos granules. The type-H gland cells are mainly seen in only Achatina, and in nucleus is a well developed heterochromatin. The cytoplasm is filled with round small granules with acid mucopolysaccharide for alcianophilia observed. The type-I cell was small cell with an irregular shape and only observed in the gland cells of Achatina fulica. The heterochromatins were developed in the nucleus and the granules are not observed in cytoplasm.Secretory ducts of saliva are composed of the interlobular duct and interlobar secretory duct. In Achatina fulica the interlobular duct consists of a simple cuboidal epithelium, while the endothelium of intralobar secretory duct of Incilaria fruhstorferi consists of a simple squamous epithelium and in the cytoplasm is filled with granules(type-G secretory cell). A SDS-PAGE was carried out to confirm that the protein band pattern consist of salivary gland. In conclusions, five more bands in Achatina fulica and three bands in Incilaria fruhstorferi were confirmed in MW<29 kDa. one main band coincides comparatively with both and is between 29-45 kDa. There are four main bands in Achatina fulica and two main bands in Incilaria fruhstorferi between 45-66.5 kDa respectively. The bands in Achatina fulica seem more complex than in incilaria fruhstorferi.

  • We investigate the field-dependence of energy barrier for various cell diameters and two type of geometry through the NEB method. We find that the energy barrier can depend strongly on the cell size when the switching is governed by the domain wall motion. Moreover we also examine the cell size dependence of energy barrier for two type of cell geometry. In the presentation, we will discuss the effect of domain wall formation and more various cell size on the energy barrier in detail.

  • A cell fusion device is designed and fabricated in order to electrofuse two cells between electrodes. Dielectrophoretic force is used to attract each cell and make a pearl chain of two cells. Two kinds of electrode structure are fabricated and tested the feasibility of the proposed device. The attraction of two radish cells or two Chinese cabbage cells on the electrodes is observed when AC voltage(1MHz, $V_{p-p}$=8V) is applied to the electrodes. The possibility of cell fusion device is shown through experiments.

  • In this work, a mixed beam approach that combines both the stiffness and the flexibility methods has been performed to analyze the coupled composite blades with closed, two-cell cross-sections. The Reissner's semi-complementary energy functional is used to derive the beam force-displacement relations. Only the membrane part of the shell wall is taken into account to make the analysis simple and also to deliver a clear picture of the mixed method. All the cross section stiffness coefficients as well as the distribution of shear across the section are evaluated in a closed-form through the beam formulation. The theory is validated against experimental test data, detailed finite element analysis results, and other analytical results for coupled composite blades with a two-cell airfoil section. Despite the simple kinematic model adopted in the theory, an accuracy comparable to that of two-dimensional finite element analysis has been obtained for cases considered in this study.

  • The direct carbon fuel cell (DCFC) has attracted researcher's attention recently, due to its high conversion efficiency and its abundant fuel, carbon. A DCFC mathematical model has developed in two-dimensional, lab-scale, and considers Boudouard reaction and carbon monoxide (CO) oxidation. The model simulates the CO production by Boudouard reaction and additional electron production by CO oxidation. The Boudouard equilibrium strongly depends on operating temperature and affects the amount of produced CO and consequentially affects the overall fuel cell performance. Two different operating temperatures (973 K, 1023 K) has been calculated to discover the CO production by Boudouard reaction and overall fuel cell performance. Moreover, anode thickness of the cell has been considered to find out the influence of the Boudouard reaction zone in fuel cell performance. It was found that in high temperature operating DCFC modeling, the Boudouard reaction cannot be neglected and has a vital role in the overall fuel cell performance.

  • The effects of carbohydrates, hormones and elicitors on both cell growth and betaine production were investigated in the cell cultures of Lycium chinense Mill. The maximum effect of glucose and sucrose was observed in cells cultured in the presence of 3% and 7% for cell growth and betaine production, respectively. The effect of hormones on cell growth and betaine production was prominent in the presence of 10 ${\mu}$M 2, 4-D, 10 ${\mu}$M NAA and 2.5 ${\mu}$M IAA, whereas cell growth and betaine production were excellent at 2.5 ${\mu}$M BA and 10 ${\mu}$M BA, respectively. Abiotic elicitors such as KCI, MnCl2 and NaCl exhibited an inhibitory role on cell growth in all treatment groups. Betaine production was increased according to increase of concentration of abiotic elicitors. methanol-soluble and insoluble components as biotic elicitor remarkably inhibited cell growth from 2 mg and 6 mg, respectively. Betaine production was increased maximally at 2 mg of biotic elicitors. When growth medium was switched to production medium at two stage culture, it resulted that cell fresh weight and dry weight decreased but betaine content increased about 2.2-fold.

  • Using the alkalophillic Bacillus sp. SH-8 and its mutant Bacillus sp. SH-8M capable of growing at the neutral pH, the amino acid compositions of the cell wall and cell membrane were studied at varying cultivation pH's. The pattem of protein electrophoresis was also tested. It was elucidated that the amino acids consisting of the cell wall were alanine, glutamic acid, lysine, aspartic acid, and meso-diaminopimelic acid. There was not any significant difference in the amino acid compositqon betweeo`two straqns regardless of the culture pH. As the results of HPLC ssay, glutamic acid and aspartic aciu accounted for more than 50% in the amqno acid composytqon of the cell wall. By the isolatqon of the crude cell membrane and the SDS-PAGE analysis, it was found that there was a considerable difference qn the protein pattern when the straqns were cultured at the neutral pH. In addition, by the two dimensional gel electrophoresis, it was confirmed that there was a difference in the protein patterns between two strains cultivated at the neutral pH medium but no difference at the alkaline medium.

  • Sunlight makes it possible to adjust scale of electric power easily as a electric energy without air pollution. Solar cell to convert the sunlight to the electric energy has DC output which is influenced on temperature and irradiation time. Conversion of DC output from the solar cell to AC is necessary due to the fact that most loads to be used currently are compatible with AC generally. In the present work, Two-phase chopper system with two seperate groups to obtain two identical DC is used to preserve the energy from the solar cell in two battery. They are controlled to be operated around maximum output of the solar cell under the condition of constant voltage. Photovoltaic system with DC${\rightarrow}$AC conversion is also investigated for big capacity and two seperated electric power using two separate inverter.

  • In this paper, we proposed and analysed two kinds of priority control mechanism to archive the cell loss rate requirement and the delay requirement of each class. The service classes of our concern are the high time priority class(class 1) and the high loss priority class(class 2). Two kinds of priority control mechanism is divided by the method of storing the arriving class 2 cell in buffer on case of buffer full. The first one is the method which discarding the arriving class 2 cell, the second one is the mothod which storing the arriving class 2 cell on behalf of pushing out the class 1 cell in buffer. In the proposed priority schemes, one cell of the class 1 is transmitted whenever the maximum K cells of the class 2 is transmitted on case of transmitting the class 1 cell and the class 2 cell sequentially. In this paper, we analysed the cell loss rate and the mean cell delay for each class of the proposed priority scheme by using the Markov chain. The analytical results show that the characteristic of the mean cell delay becomes better for the class 1 cell and that of the cell loss rate becomes better for the class 2 cell by selecting properly the cell transfer ratio according to the condition of input traffic.
