  • In this paper, the development of an error measurement system of 5-axis mill & turn machine tool presented by double ball bar test, which has been widely used to measure the overall accuracy of machining center. and the reliability of an error measurement system of 5-axis mill & turn machine tool was secured by the direct cutting test.

상호대화식 Web3D 컨텐츠의 구현 및 응용 (Implementation and application of interactive Web3D Contents)

  • 현재 인터넷관련 기술은 단순한 2D로부터 상호작용 하는 3D 컨텐츠 형태로 변화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 저작도구인 TurnTool를 이용하여 고품질의 상호대화식 Web3D 컨텐츠를 구현하고 이를 제품 매뉴얼 제작에 응용한다. 여기에서, 보다 사실적이고 사용자와의 상호작용이 가능한 Web3D 매뉴얼을 쉽고 빠르게 구현하는 방법을 제시한다. 이것은 기존의 Web3D 컨텐츠 저작도구들이 가진 문제점을 보완한다. 따라서 용량을 최소화하고, 구현 과정을 축소하여 제작 시간을 줄이며, 별도 EAI(External Authoring Interface)의 연계 없이 자바 스크립트를 사용하여 쉽게 상호작용이 가능한 컨텐츠를 구현 할 수 있다.

연동해석을 통한 영구자석 동기전동기의 오프라인 Inter-Turn 고장진단법 (A Method for Offline Inter-Turn Fault Diagnosis of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor through the Co-Analysis)

  • In this paper, inter-turn fault diagnosis of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) is performed in offline state by linking the finite element analysis (FEA) tool and control simulation tool. In order to diagnose the inter-turn fault, it is important to select the current value to determine the fault. First, the basic principles for inter-turn fault diagnosis of IPMSM are explained and co-analysis model for fault diagnosis is constructed. Further, in order to select the appropriate high frequency voltage, the change of the current value to be judged as failure was analyzed at various voltage and frequency conditions, and the change of the current value according to the number of the failed windings was analyzed. Finally, the current value to be judged as failure is selected.

전정기 기능 향상을 위한 회전과 구르기 훈련 프로그램의 개발 및 검증 (Development and Verification of Treatment Programs by Turn and Roll Types to Improve the Function of Vestibular System)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a turn-type treatment program which applies the principle of spotting and a roll-type treatment program that induces off-vertical axis. 29 collegiate students volunteered for this study. 12-week treatment programs were applied to both 15 students for turn-type treatment group and 14 students for roll-type treatment group. As an analytic tool, eye camera was employed to verify the treatment programs for a stimulus upon a turn, recovery after a stimulus upon a turn, and nystagmus that affects a vestibular system. Two-way ANOVA with repeated measures was applied to see the significant differences between the treatment groups, and between the test periods. For Post-Hoc Test, paired t-test was used to within the group and independent t-test was used to between the groups. The results indicated that roll-type treatment training has maximized a stimulus on nystagmyus during the stimulus by a roll. Turn-type treatment training has maximized a stimulus on nystagmyus right after a stimulus by a roll and significantly decreased the intensity of nystagmyus during the recovery. Both turn and roll type treatments have reduced the recovery time which from nystagmyus to a normal status. Roll-type treatment has showed a much shorter recovery time for nystagmyus than the roll-type treatment has. Based on the results of treatment programs developed in this study, we expect the treatment programs can be applied to treat dizziness and to improve the function of vestibular system as a rehabilitation tool.

History as an Educational Tool: The Educational Turn of the Bakken Museum

  • The history of the Bakken Museum, the Museum of Electricity in Life, is useful to understand the universality and particularity of a local science museum. Beginning with the small collections at the medical device company, the Bakken Museum has expanded its scope and facilities by reidentifying its mission from research institute to educational center. The educational turn of the Bakken Museum has been completed with two remarkable events: the launch of the Summer Institute in 1984 and the construction of the new education facility, New Wing, in 1999. During this change, the museum staff developed unique strategies for public engagement, using the history of science and technology as an educational tool. The shift of the Bakken Museum's mission provides an excellent example of how a local museum could meet the social needs for museums to be educational centers by utilizing its history and collections.

초정밀 융합가공을 위한 주축이동식 자동선반의 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Analysis of the Spindle of Swiss Turn Type Lathe for Ultra Precision Convergence Machining)

  • 공작기계의 주축은 황삭 가공에서 부터 정삭가공에 이르는 다양한 작업들이 가능해야 하고, 정속운동 또는 회전 위치결정의 기능을 수행해야 되므로 주축설계에 고려해야 할 변수들이 많다. 주축이동식자동선반은 고정식자동선반에 비해 샤프트가 가늘고 긴 핀 들을 작업할 때 좋은 선반이다. 고정식 자동선반에 비해 외경가공의 밀도가 매우 높다. 주축 이송형 선반은 주로 소형 제품을 정밀가공 할 경우에 사용되므로 가공 정밀도가 높아야 한다. 최대 외경 가공 한계 치수는 Ø32, 내경가공 한계 치수는 Ø6까지 가공이 가능하게 제작되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 주축이동식 자동선반에 사용되는 SCM440 소재의 정 동적특성을 이동식 선반에 적용하여 분석하였다. 주축의 정,동적 특성에 영향을 미치는 인자들을 고려하여 고속화 및 고정밀도를 갖는 최적설계기술이 확보하기 위하여 수치해석을 이용하여 분석하였다.

패턴드 그라운드 쉴드를 적용한 나선형 인덕터 특성 연구 (A Study on Characteristic of Spiral Inductor with Patterned Ground Shield)

  • This paper presents the characteristic of rectangular and octagonal spiral inductor using PGS(Patterned Ground Shield). We investigated variation of inductance and Q-factor with changing of turn number at fixed width, spacing and inner diameter. We confirmed that characteristic of inductance and Q-factor be appled PGS in rectangular and octagonal types spiral inductor by EM simulation tool. Inductance decreased irrespective of structure but Q-factor increased. When PGS not exist, Q-factor of Inductor is analogous at classification frequency but, rectangular is a few larger then octagonal in small turn number. The other side, When PGS is inserted, we confirmed that octagonal lager then rectangular in many turn number. Q-factor is improved in case of octagonal structure and small turn number by PGS effect.

  • Since the aircraft parts industry is a high-value-added industry, mass production order production, and the hundreds of thousands. Therefore, parts produced However, since these parts require high reliability and stability, a high degree of precision is required. In Korea, there on the roughness of the machined surface in cutting process. However, research on the surface roughness characteristic obtained by which is widely used for aircraft parts is still insufficient in Korea. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of turning tool rotation speed and X axis feed rate on the surface roughness of cutting tools in CNC lathes during cutting of aluminum alloy 7075.

회귀분석에 의한 $Si_3N_4$세라믹 절삭공구의 공구수명 추정 (Estimation of Tool life by Simple & Multiple Linear Regression Analysis of $Si_3N_4$ Ceramic Cutting Tools)

  • In this study, four kinds of $Si_3N_4$-based ceramic cutting tools with different sintering time were fabricated to investigate the relation among mechanical properties, grain size and tool life. They were used to turn gray cast iron at a cutting speed of 330m/min and depth of cut of 0.5mm and 1mm in dry, continuos cutting conditions. Multiple linear regression model was used to determine the relations among the mechanical property, grain size and the density. It was found that the combination of hardness and fracture toughness showed a good relation with tool life. It was also shown that hardness was the most important single element for the tool life.

  • 본 연구에서는 선반작업에서의 피삭체의 형상을 특징형상(feature)단위로 정 의하였고, 이 특징형상을 이용하여 형상정의를 수행한 후 가공순서 및 가공조건을 대 화형식으로 입력하면 공구위치 데이터(CL data)를 자동으로 산출하고 이를 기계제어데 이터(MC data)로 변화시켜 주는 NC선반가공 프로그래밍시스템 FeaTURN (Feature-based TURNing system)을 개발하였다.
