GPC를 이용한 규칙기반 자기동조 PID제어기에 관한 연구 (A study on the rule-based self-tuning PID controller utilizing GPC)

  • In this paper, we present a solution to the PID tuning problem by optimizing a GPC(General Predictive Control) criterion. The PID structure is ensured by constraning the parameters to a feasible set defined by the discrete-time Euler approximation of the ideal continuous-time PID controller. The algorithm is ectended by incorporating heuristic rules for selection of the significant design parameters. The algorithm has been successfully tested and some results are prewented.

  • In the original incremental Extended Horizon Control, the control inputs are computed recursively each step in the prediction horizon. But in this paper, we propose another incremental Extended Horizon Self-tuning Control version in which control inputs can be computed directly in any time interval. The effectiveness of this algorithm in a variable time delay or load disturbances environment is demonstrated by computer simulation. The controlled plant is a nonminimum phase system.

  • 무선 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 배터리 용량은 클라이언트의 유용성을 결정하는 중요한 자원이다. 그러므로 무선 컴퓨팅 환경에서 데이타 방송 기법은 데이타를 빠르게 전달하는 것은 물론 이동 클라이언트의 배터리 소모를 감소시킬 수 있는 효율적인 데이타 전달 기법을 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 주문형 데이타 방송 환경을 위한 인덱스 구성과 방송 데이타 구성 방안에 대하여 제안한다. 제안 기법은 방송 서버 내에서 우선순위가 높은 데이타를 대상으로 개별 데이타의 방송 시간이 포함된 인덱스 정보를 구성하여 먼저 방송 시킴으로써 이동 중인 이동 클라이언트의 적응 시간을 줄인다. 또한 다음 인덱스 정보가 방송될 시점을 데이타 방송시 포함시킴으로써 인덱스 정보의 수신을 위해 필요한 적응 시간을 감소시킨다. 제안 기법이 효과적으로 이동 클라이언트의 적응 시간을 감소시키는 것을 실험을 통해 검증한다.

  • In this paper, the response characteristics of CAN-based feedback control system are analyzed when message time delays through the network are considered. The message time delays are composed of computation time delay and communication time delay. The application layer of CAN communication is modeled mathematically to analyze two time delays, and the communication time delay is redefined under several assumption conditions. The CAN-based feedback control system is proposed as a target system that is the machining system with the three axes. The response characteristics of time delays in the proposed system are analyzed through computer simulations, and can be improved by the compensation using the PID tuning method to satisfy the design specifications of the system.

  • Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller tuning is an area of interest for researchers in many areas of science and engineering. This paper presents a new algorithm for PID controller tuning based on a combination of bacteria foraging and particle swarm optimization. BFO algorithm has recently emerged as a very powerful technique for real parameter optimization. To overcome delay in an optimization, combine the features of BFOA and PSO for tuning the PID controller. This new algorithm is proposed to combine both the algorithms to get better optimization values. The real time prototype model of paper machine is designed and controlled by using PIC microcontroller embedded with the programming in C language.

  • In this study, self-tuning adaptive control using state observer is developed. Self-tuning adaptive controller that estimates the parameters of the system in real time and generates the optimal control signals has robust characteristic about varying load and external disturbances. In addition, state observer without sensors is applied, thus the control can be performed more quickly and exactly. Since chopper is used commonly in practical drives, the characteristics of the chopper are included in state observer algorithm, which, in turn, makes the system exact estimation. Since series type DC motor has nonlinear models, linearizing approach are investigated. to realize the proposed algorithm it requires fast calculation in real time. TMS320C31, digital signal processor, is applied to realized the adaptive control algorithms.

  • The control of the motion of a mobile robot is studied. The driving and steering motor assembly is located in the front of the mobile robot. The position of the mobile robot is determined by the steering angle and driving distance. For the controller design, a time-series multivariate model of the autogressive exogenous (ARX) type is used to describe the input-output relation. The discounted least square method is used to estimate parameters of the time-series model. A self-tuning controller is so designed that the position of the center of the mobile robot track the given trajectory. Simulation result controlled by a self-tuning controller is presented to illustrate the approach.

  • In this paper, a timer thresholds tuning algorithm is proposed, satisfying the required response time for traffic with time-critical applications and asynchronous traffic in FDDI network. Under light and medium load, priorities and timer thresholds play a minor role for medium access control. In these cases all quenes are served exhaustively with a ver high service probability and the packet loss probability approaches almost zero. Under overload condition, however, the performance of the FDDI Network is completely determined by the selection of the timer thresholds. The timer thresholds tuned by mathematical results is confirmed by simulation results using SIMAN/UNIX package. The allocation of guaranteed bandwidth can be controlled easily by tuning the timer thresholds according to the proposed rules.

  • This paper describes the on-site PSS Tuning Test of EX2000 excitation of Dangin T/P #4. The on-line 2% AVR step test in 500MW was performed by setting PSS gain from 0 to 15 by 3 increasement. The time-domain measured data was also analyzed by DFT analysis. Finally, the measured data was replicated and verified by running the time-domain dynamic simulation.

  • This paper deals with parameter tuning of the Power System Stabilizer (PSS) for 612 MVA thermal power plants in the KEPCO system and its validation in a field test. In this paper, the selection of parameters, such as lead-lag time constants for phase compensation and system gain, is optimized using linear and eigenvalue analyses. This is then verified through the time-domain transient stability analysis. In the next step, the performance of PSS is finally verified by the generator's on-line field test. After the field test, measured and simulated data are also compared to prove the effectiveness of the models used in the simulations.
