To develop an engineering-model of hydrogen-fueled ultra-micro combustor for Ultra Micro Gas Turbine(UMGT), we reviewed and summarized the problems in downsizing combustors, and determined a suitable burning method. The key issue to actualize practical ultra-micro combustors is reducing heat loss from the combustor to compressor and turbine. The reduction of heat loss was discussed from 3 different viewpoints; heat-insulation material, high-space-heating-rate combustion, and combustor-insolated gas turbine structure. Use of heat-insulation material induced the heat loss reduction to the surroundings. The heat loss ratio decreased substantially in reverse proportion to space heating rate, leading the idea that it could be reduced by burning at a high space heating rate. By settling the combustor insolated from the compressor and turbine, the heat transfer from the combustor to the compressor and turbine becomes smaller. For a selection of the suitable burning method, comparison between 2 burning methods, flat-flame and swirling-flamer types, was conducted. Synthetically the flat-flame burning method was confirmed to be more suitable for ultra-micro combustors than latter one. Base on them, an engineering-model of hydrogen-fueled flat-flame ultra-micro combustor was developed. To obtain high overall heat-insulation, heat-resistant and strength, the engineering-model combustor had triple layer structure with an advanced ceramic, a heat insulation material and a stainless steel. To simplify heat transfer issue in the combustor, it was isolated from the other components. Furthermore it was designed by considering structure, size, material, velocity, pressure loss and prevention of flashback.
Dollar spot caused by Sclerotinia homeocarpa is one of major diseases in putting greens. Microorganisms antagonistic to S. homeocarpa, a pathogen of dollar spot, were primarily screened through in vitro tests, including dual culture method and triple layer agar diffusion method. In vivo tests were also conducted to select the best candidate for a biocontrol microorganism, using pot experiment. Bacillus subtilis EW42-1 and Trichoderma harziaum GBF-0208 were finally selected as biocontrol agents against dollar spot. Relative Performance Index(RPI) was used as a criterion of selecting potential biocontrol agents. B. subtilis EW42-1 and T. harzianum GBF-0208 showed resistance to several agrochemicals mainly used in a golf course. B. subtilis EW42-1 and T. harzianum GBF-0208 suppressed effectively the disease progress of dollar spot like synthetic fungicide tebuconazole in the nursery where dollar spot had seriously occurred. B. subtilis EW42-1 and T. harzianum GBF-0208 have a potential to be biocontrol agents for the control of dollar spot.
In this paper we describe current activities on the project Multi-Scale Modeling and Analysis of convective boiling (MSMA), conducted jointly by the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and the Swiss Nuclear Utilities (Swissnuclear). The long-term aim of the MSMA project is to formulate improved closure laws for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations for prediction of convective boiling and eventually of the Critical Heat Flux (CHF). As boiling is controlled by the competition of numerous phenomena at various length and time scales, a multi-scale approach is employed to tackle the problem at different scales. In the MSMA project, the scales on which we focus range from the CFD scale (macro-scale), bubble size scale (meso-scale), liquid micro-layer and triple interline scale (micro-scale), and molecular scale (nano-scale). The current focus of the project is on micro- and meso-scales modeling. The numerical framework comprises a highly efficient, parallel DNS solver, the PSI-BOIL code. The code has incorporated an Immersed Boundary Method (IBM) to tackle complex geometries. For simulation of meso-scales (bubbles), we use the Constrained Interpolation Profile method: Conservative Semi-Lagrangian $2^{nd}$ order (CIP-CSL2). The phase change is described either by applying conventional jump conditions at the interface, or by using the Phase Field (PF) approach. In this work, we present selected results for flows in complex geometry using the IBM, selected bubbly flow simulations using the CIP-CSL2 method and results for phase change using the PF approach. In the subsequent stage of the project, the importance of effects of nano-scale processes on the global boiling heat transfer will be evaluated. To validate the models, more experimental information will be needed in the future, so it is expected that the MSMA project will become the seed for a long-term, combined theoretical and experimental program.
In this study, $Sr_2Ni_{1.8}Mo_{0.2}O_{6-{\delta}}$ (SNM) with a double perovskite structure was investigated as an alternative anode for use in the $CH_4$ fuel in solid oxide fuel cells. SNM demonstrates a double perovskite phase over $600^{\circ}C$ and marginal crystallization at higher temperatures. The Ni nanoparticles were exsolved from the SNM anode during the fabrication process. As the SNM anode demonstrates poor electrochemical and electro-catalytic properties in the $H_2$ and $CH_4$ fuels, it was modified by applying a samarium-doped ceria (SDC) coating on its surface to improve the cell performance. As a result of this SDC modification, the cell performance improved from $39.4mW/cm^2$ to $117.7mW/cm^2$ in $H_2$ and from $15.9mW/cm^2$ to $66.6mW/cm^2$ in $CH_4$ at $850^{\circ}C$. The mixed ionic and electronic conductive property of the SDC provided electrochemical oxidation sites that are beyond the triple boundary phase sites in the SNM anode. In addition, the carbon deposition on the SDC thin layer was minimized due to the SDC's excellent oxygen ion conductivity.

In this paper, we present machine learning to control drone flight using EEG signals. We defined takeoff, forward, backward, left movement and right movement as control targets and measured EEG signals from the frontal lobe for controlling using Fp1. Fp2 Fp2 two-channel dry electrode (NeuroNicle FX2) measuring at 250Hz sampling rate. And the collected data were filtered at 6~20Hz cutoff frequency. We measured the motion image of the action associated with each control target open for 5.19 seconds. Using Matlab's classification learner for the measured EEG signal, the triple layer neural network, logistic regression kernel, nonlinear polynomial Support Vector Machine(SVM) learning was performed, logistic regression kernel was confirmed as the highest accuracy for takeoff and forward, backward, left movement and right movement of the drone in learning by class True Positive Rate(TPR).
In order to detect of the magnetic property in the cell unit, we studied the GMR-SV (giant magnetoresistance-spin valves) biosensor, which was depended on the micro patterned features according to two easy directions of longitudinal and transversal axes. Here, the multi layer structure was glass/NiO/NiFe/CoFe/Cu/CoFe/NiFe. The uniaxial anisotropy direction was applied to the patterned biosensor during the deposition and vacuum post-annealing at $200^{\circ}C$ under the magnitude of 300 Oe, respectively. Considering the magnetic shape anisotropy effect, the size of micro patterned biosensor was a $2{\times}5{\mu}m^2$ after the photo lithography process. By our experimental results, we confirmed that the best condition of GMR-SV biosensor should be the same direction of the axis sensing current and the easy axis of pinned NiO/NiFe/CoFe triple layer oriented to the width direction of device, and the direction of the easy axis of free CoFe/NiFe bilayer was according to the longitudinal direction of device.
I will presents the analysis of the gas properties of the protoplanetary disk surrounding the young low-mass (about 1.2Msun) triple star, GG Tau A. This work makes use of ALMA observations of rotational lines of CO (12CO, 13CO and C18O) together NOEMA observations of a few dozens of other molecules. While the CO emission gives information on the molecular layer close to the disk atmosphere, its less abundant isotopologues 13CO and C18O bring information much deeper in the molecular layer. I will present the analysis of the morphology and kinematics of the gas disk using the CO isotopologues. A radiative transfer model of the ring in CO isotopologues will also be presented. The subtraction of this model from the original data reveals the weak emission of the molecular gas lying inside the cavity. Thus, I am able to evaluate the properties of the gas inside the cavity, such as the gas dynamics, excitation conditions, and the amount of mass in the cavity. High angular resolution observations of CO reveals sprials induced by embedded planet(s) located near the 3:2:1 mean-motion resonance that help to explain the special morphology of the circumbinary disk. I also discuss some chemical properties of the GG Tau A disk. I report the first detection of H2S and C2S in a protoplanetary disk. The molecule abundance relative to 13CO of about twenties other molecules will also be given. In GG Tau A, the detections of rare molecules such as H2S and C2S have been probably possible because the disk is more massive (a factor about 3-5) than other disks where the molecules was searched. Such a large disk mass makes the system suitable to detect rare molecules and to study cold-chemistry in protoplanetary disks.

In order to develope a mobile-based greenhouse energy calculation program, firstly, the overall thermal transmittance of 10 types of major covers and 16 types of insulation materials were measured. In addition, to estimate the overall thermal transmittance when the cover and insulation materials were installed in double or triple layers, 24 combinations of double installations and 59 combinations of triple installations were measured using the hotbox. Also, the overall thermal transmittance value for a single material and the thermal resistance value were used to calculate the overall thermal transmittance value at the time of multi-layer installation of covering and insulating materials, and the linear regression equation was derived to correct the error with the measured values. As a result of developing the model for estimating thermal transmittance when installing multiple layers of coverings and insulating materials based on the value of overall thermal transmittance of a single-material, the model evaluation index was 0.90 (good when it is 0.5 or more), indicating that the estimated value was very close to the actual value. In addition, as a result of the on-site test, it was evaluated that the estimated heat saving rate was smaller than the actual value with a relative error of 2%. Based on these results, a mobile-based greenhouse energy calculation program was developed that was implemented as an HTML5 standard web-based mobile web application and was designed to work with various mobile device and PC browsers with N-Screen support. It had functions to provides the overall thermal transmittance(heating load coefficient) for each combination of greenhouse coverings and thermal insulation materials and to evaluate the energy consumption during a specific period of the target greenhouse. It was estimated that an energy-saving greenhouse design would be possible with the optimal selection of coverings and insulation materials according to the region and shape of the greenhouse.

n this paper, we have fabricated pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistors (PHEMT) with a 0.2 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ wide-head T-shaped gate using electron beam lithography by a dose split method. To make the T-shape gate with gate length of 0.2 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and gate head size of 1.3 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ we have used triple layer resist structure of PMMA/P(MMA-MAA)/PMMA. The DC characteristics of PHEMT, which has 0.2 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of gate length, 80 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of unit gate width and 4 gate fingers, are drain current density of 323 ㎃/mm and maximum transconductance 232 mS/mm at $V_{gs}$ = -1.2V and $V_{ds}$ = 3V. The RF characteristics of the same device are 2.91㏈ of S21 gain and 11.42㏈ of MAG at 40GHz. The current gain cut-off frequency is 63GHz and maximum oscillation frequency is 150GHz, respectively.ively.

Boron was predeposited into p (100) Si wafer at 94$0^{\circ}C$ for 60minutes to make the back surface field. High tempreature diffusion process at 1145$^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours was immediately followed without removing boron glass to obtain high surface concentration Back boron was annealed at 110$0^{\circ}C$ for 40minutes after boron glass was removed. N+ layer was formed by predepositing with POCI3 source at 90$0^{\circ}C$ for 7~15 minutes and annealed at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 60min1es under dry Of ambient. The triple metal layers were made by evaporating Ti, Pd, Ag in that order onto front and back of diffused wafer to form the front grid and back electrode respectively. Silver was electroplated on front and back to increase the metal thickness form 1~2$\mu$m to 3~4$\mu$m and the metal electrodes are alloyed in N2 /H2 ambient at 55$0^{\circ}C$ and followed by silicon nitride antireflection film deposition process. Under artificial illumination of 100mW/$\textrm{cm}^2$ fabricated N+PP+ cells showed typically the open circuit voltage of 0.59V and short circuit current of 103 mA with fill factor of 0.80 from the whole cell area of 3.36$\textrm{cm}^2$. These numbers can be used to get the actual total area(active area) conversion efficiency of 14.4%(16.2%) which has been improved from the provious N+P cell with 11% total area efficiency by adding P+ back.
