OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signals sutler serious nonlinear distortion in the nonlinear HPA(High Power Amplifier) because of high PAPR(Peak Average Power Ratio). Nonlinear distortion can be improved by a pre-distorter, but this pre-distorter is insufficient when the PAPR is very high in an OPFDM system. In this paper, a DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) transform technique is introduced for PAPR reduction. It is especially important to consider the memory effect of HPA for more precise predistortion. Therefore, in this paper, we consider two models, the TWTA(Traveling-Wave Tube Amplifier) model of Saleh without a memory effect and the HPA memory polynomial model that has a memory effect. We design a pre-distorter and an adaptive pre-distorter that uses the NLMS(Normalized Least Mean Square) algorithm for the compensation of this nonlinear distortion. Without the consideration of a memory effect, the system performance would be degraded, even if the pre-distorter is used for the compensation of the nonlinear distortion. From the simulation results, we can confirm that the proposed system shows an improvement in performance.
Bi-modal tram is a new conceptual transit mean for public transportation integrating thoroughfare and railroad vehicle's characteristics together. This paper describes about a software design which will be applied to an automatic driving system, which is called NCS (Navigation Control System), considering such multiplicity of mechanical characteristic. The NCS adopts propulsion, braking, and direction control functions for a tram and utilizes various sensors to fully take control over such functions. In this paper, we defined and analyzed the capabilities of the NCS. Those capabilities are designed with a UML 2.0 based object-oriented modeling technique. Moreover, to ensure the complete operation of such capabilities, a communication protocol (which is capable of controlling sensors, propulsion, brakes, and traveling directions) is designed here. Throughout the paper, firstly, all the NCS related functions are discussed in accordance with the equipments they are belonged to; secondly the UML modeling application techniques for the defined functions and protocols for the communications between equipments are introduced; and lastly a validation process for the design specifications is going to be discussed.
The dynamic load effects, generated by moving trains, are transferred to the railway bridges through tracks. The dynamic load effects may vary due to the dynamic characteristics of the applied vehicle loads and the railway bridges including the track system. However, the track models have been neglected or simplified by spring elements in the most studies since it is quite complicated to consider the track systems in the dynamic analysis models of railway bridges. In this study track system on railway bridges are modeled using a three-dimensional discrete-support model that can simulate the load carrying behavior of tracks. A 40m simply supported prestressed concrete box-girder system adopted for high-speed railway bridges are modeled for simulation works. The train models are composed of 20 cars for KTX. The dynamic response of railway bridges are found to be affected depending on whether the track model is considered for not. The influencing rate depends on the traveling speed and different wheel-axle distance. The dynamic bridge response decreases remarkably by the track systems around the resonant frequency. Therefore, the resonance effect can be reduced by modifying the track properties in the railway bridge, especially for KTX trains.
Simultaneous measurements using a scanning spectrograph system and transmissometer were performed for the first time over an urban site in Gwangju, Korea, to derive the ambient $NO_2$ volume mixing ratio. The differential slant column densities retrieved from the scanning spectrograph system were converted to volume mixing ratios using the light traveling distance along the scanning line of sight derived from the transmissometer light extinction coefficients. To assess the performance of this system, we compared the derived $NO_2$ volume mixing ratios with those measured by an in situ chemiluminescence monitor under various atmospheric conditions. For a cloudless atmosphere, the linear correlation coefficient (R) between the two data sets (i.e., data derived from the scanning spectrograph and from the in situ monitor) was 0.81; the value for a cloudy atmosphere was 0.69. The two sets of $NO_2$ volume mixing ratios were also compared for various wind speeds. We also consider the measurement errors, as estimated from an error propagation analysis.
People's income level is being ehanced, utilization of a car is increasing. Utilization of a car is increasing by peoples' income level elevation along with growth of economy. Economical loss and environmental pollution by vehicles stagnation of downtown are increasing. Specially, in case of downtown it is trend that the city traveling speed is decreasing every year. Lately, transfer bicycle-user to use public traffic is increasing. And they is using much on leisure because of physical strength improvement and the 5 day work week. In this study, we introduce examples of overseas designing and managing bicycle-user road based on GIS(a target of America and Canada). And we purpose construction-necessity of Bicycle Road Management System(BRMS) using GIS technique in domestic.

A modified command shaping control to reduce residual vibrations at a target position and to limit the sway angle of the payload during traveling for container crane systems is investigated. When the maneuvering time is minimized, a large transient amplitude and steady state oscillations may occur inherently. Since a large swing of the payload during the transfer is dangerous, the control objective is to transfer a payload to the desired place as quickly as possible while limiting the swing angle of the payload during the transfer. The conventional shapers have been enhanced by adding one more constraint to limit intermediate sway angles of the payload. The developed method is shown to be more effective than other conventional shapers for prevention of an excessive transient sway. Computer simulation results are provided.
Animal-like robots are serving an important role as a linkage between biology and engineering. So, in this paper, we aim to develop a biomimetic microrobot that mimics the locomotion mechanism of a gastropod. This microrobot has 3 DOF (x, y translation and rotation), and has small size, unlimited traveling range, high resolution and low cost. Its movement can be made using propagation wave that is generated by the controllable sinusoidal voltage source and piezoelectric effects. This soft motion that can be generated by propagation wave and piezoelectric mechanism would be useful for the motion on the slippery surface. So we modeled the propagation wave mechanism including piezoelectric effect and friction on the contact surface, and could know the velocity of the microrobot is dependent on the driving frequency, input voltage peak, propagation wavelength and surface friction coefficient. With these results we design the microrobot, and accomplish its fabrication and experimentation. The development of this microrobot shall be aimed to design an autonomous moving actuator like animal. Also it can be used from micromanipulation system technology to biology and medicine.
In this paper, studied traveling by ummaned vehicles using MPC sensor.Explain what is MPC sensor and also is threaded how on vehicles. Made use of PID controller and LQG/LTR controller that is used much in present industrial circles for control of this.
