A Hybrid Method Based on Genetic Algorithm and Ant Colony System for Traffic Routing Optimization

  • The Ant Colony System (ACS) is a variant of Ant colony optimization algorithm which is well-known in Traveling Salesman Problem. This paper proposed a hybrid method based on genetic algorithm (GA) and ant colony system (ACS), called GACS, to solve traffic routing problem. In the GACS, we use genetic algorithm to optimize the ACS parameters that aims to attain the shortest trips and time through new functions to help the ants to update global and local pheromones. Our experiments are performed by the GACS framework which is developed from VANETsim with the ability of real map loading from open street map project, and updating traffic light in real-time. The obtained results show that our framework acquired higher performance than A-Star and classical ACS algorithms in terms of length of the best global tour and the time for trip.

  • 휴리스틱 알고리즘 연구에 있어서 중요한 분야 중 하나가 강화(Intensification)와 다양화(Diversification)의 조화를 맞추는 문제이다. 개미 집단 최적화(Ant Colony Optimization, ACO)는 최근에 제안된 조합 최적화 문제를 해결하기 위한 메타휴리스틱 탐색 방법으로, 그리디 탐색(greedy search)뿐만 아니라 긍정적 반응의 탐색을 사용한 모집단에 근거한 접근법으로 순회 판매원 문제(Traveling Salesman Problem, TSP)를 풀기 위해 처음으로 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 ACO접근법의 하나인 개미 집단 시스템(Ant Colony System ACS)에서 강화와 다양화의 조화를 통한 성능향상기법에 대해 알아본다. 먼저 에이전트들의 방문 횟수 적용을 통한 상태전이는 탐색 영역을 넓힘으로써 에이전트들이 더욱 다양하게 탐색하게 한다. 그리고, 전역 갱신 규칙에서 전역 최적 경로만 갱신하는 전통적인 ACS알고리즘에서 대하여, 경로 사이클을 구성한 후 각 경로에 대해 긍정적 강화를 받는 엘리트 경로를 구분하는 기준을 정하고, 그 기준에 의해 추가 강화하는 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 여러 조건 하에서 TSP문제를 풀어보고 그 성능에 대해 기존의 ACS 방법과 제안된 방법을 비교 평가해, 해의 질과 문제를 해결하는 속도가 우수하다는 것을 증명한다.

  • It has been recognized as an important issue to design optimally a firm's logistics network for minimizing logistics cost and maximizing customer service. It is, however, not easy to get an optimal solution by analyzing trade-off of cost factors, dynamic and interdependent characteristics in the logistics network decision making. Although there has been some developments in a system which helps decision making for logistics analysis, it is true that there is no system for enterprise-wise's on-site support and methodical logistics decision. Specially, E-biz process along with information technology has been made dramatic advance in a various industries, there has been much need for practical education closely resembles on-site work. The software developed by this study materializes efficient algorithm suggested by recent studies in key topics of logistics such as location and allocation problem, traveling salesman problem, and vehicle routing problem and transportation and distribution problem. It also supports executing a variety of experimental design and analysis in a way of the most user friendly based on Java. In the near future, we expect that it can be extended to integrated supply chain solution by adding decision making in production in addition to a decision in logistics.

지하수 모니터링을 위한 GeoSensor 기반의 이동식 보조관측망 프로토타입 시스템 및 사용자 인터페이스 구현 (Implementation of User Interface and GeoSensor based Traveling Type Sub-Observation Prototype System for Monitoring of Groundwater)

  • 지표수에 비해 지하수 자원은 비교적 오염률이 낮은 편이지만 관리의 미흡으로 인한 복구의 어려움이 매우 크다. 국가에서는 지하수 보조관측망을 이용하여 지하수 자원을 효율적으로 관리 및 모니터링한다. 본 논문에서는 지하수 자원 관리의 업무 효율성 증대와 실시간 모니터링을 위해 수온, 수위, 전기전도도(E.C.) 등의 무선 센서 노드와 GPS(Global Positioning System)가 내장된 이동식 보조관측망 프로토타입 시스템과 지하수 정보 사용자 GUI(Graphic User Interface)로 이루어진 GeoSensor 기반의 지하수 무선 자동측정시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 자체 전력을 위해 태양광을 이용하고 있으며, 무선 센서 노드로부터 수집된 다양한 지하수 정보는 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) 모듈을 이용하여 무선 송수신한다. 아울러 사용자의 편의성을 도모하기 위해 사용자 GUI는 GIS(Geographic Information System) 맵에 수집된 지하수 정보를 가시화 한다. 제안한 시스템의 성능평가를 위해 제작된 보조관측망을 통해 수집된 센싱 정보를 이용하여 수행하였으며, 타 연구와의 정성평가를 제안하는 시스템의 우수성을 입증하였다.

소구획 경지에서의 벼 수확량 지도 작성 (Yield Mapping of a Small Sized Paddy Field)

  • An yield monitoring system plays a key role in precision farming. An yield monitoring system and a DGPS were implemented to a widely used domestic combine for yield mapping of a small sized paddy field, and yield mapping algorithms were investigated in this study. The yield variation in the 0.1ha rice paddy field was measured by installing a yield flow sensor and a grain moisture sensor at the end of the clean grain elevator discharging grains into a grain tank. Yield map of the test filed was drawn in a point map and a linear interpolated map based on the result of the field test. The size of a unit yield grid in yield mapping was determined based on the combine traveling speed, effective harvesting width and data storing period. It was possible to construct the yield map of a small sized paddy field.

  • The railway business was began at England in 1767. Since then, it has been changed for configuration of rail over the years and made in the form of I. The train propulsion has been developed in a engine of steam, diesel, motor, electromagnetic force and a pneumatic engine, continuously. also, the friction has been improved in a steel-wheel, rubber tire, frictionless maglev system and railless system. In consequence, the efficiency and improvement speed for train have been accomplished. In this paper, it is investigated for the structure with lightweight using the change for supporting the form of lateral pressure by centrifugal force in the substructure supporting load for railway vehicles.

지능형 주행 안내 시스템을 위한 유전 알고리즘에 근거한 최적 경로 탐색 알고리즘 (An optimal and genetic route search algorithm for intelligent route guidance system)

  • In this thesis, based on Genetic Algorithm, a new route search algorithm is presented to search an optimal route between the origin and the destination in intelligent route guidance systems in order to minimize the route traveling time. The proposed algorithm is effectively employed to complex road networks which have diverse turn constrains, time-delay constraints due to cross signals, and stochastic traffic volume. The algorithm is also shown to significantly promote search efficiency by changing the population size of path individuals that exist in each generation through the concept of age and lifetime to each path individual. A virtual road-traffic network with various turn constraints and traffic volume is simulated, where the suggested algorithm promptly produces not only an optimal route to minimize the route cost but also the estimated travel time for any pair of the origin and the destination, while effectively avoiding turn constraints and traffic jam.

Design of the Shaped Offset Cassegrain Antenna System Combined with Corrugated Conical Feed Horn

  • In this paper, the design for the shaped offset cassegrain antenna system combined with corrugated feed horn is presented. First, spherical-mode wave theory is applied to the corrugated conical horn and its radiation patterns are investigated. Using the radiation patterns, design data of the corrugated conical horn are obtained by efficiency investigation of horn antenna. When the investigation is completed, the flare angle and length of the corrugated conical horn is determined. Next, the main and sub-reflector is designed using Snellis law and the conservation principle of energy. Then the uniform direction and energy density of the traveling wave at the aperture of the main-reflector is obtained. The maximum size of the main-reflector is determined by investigation of the illumination and spillover efficiency. Finally, the curvature of the main-reflector is modified to satisfy the condition of the uniform phase. From the calculated efficiencies, the designed site of the main-reflector and sub-reflector, system gain of the shaped offset cassegrain antenna has been obtained 40.5dB in Ka-band frequency. It has better characteristics than the result of SABOR with 39dB gain.

  • The purpose of the present paper is to investigate about the machining of profile (core/cavity) of mold die using the commercial CAM system. Recently the requirement of the light weight and high performance of automobiles has Increased. The weight of the automobile is very important in the viewpoint of the fuel and traveling performance. The optimal design technique, material technique, the process design for parts and specially, die machining technique need to be developed for increasing productivity and reducing production time of the automobile parts. In this study, the effect of machining condition on precision of die profile is investigated by experimental observation and analysis. The results will be reflected for development of the precision die of the automobile.

  • The coupled vibration occurs between traveling vehicle and bridge, when vehicle runs on it. The natural frequency of this coupled system is dependent on the contact position of vehicle and bridge, that is, time-varying system. The calculations of these natural frequencies are very complicated, and often carried out by using Green function theory, series. But, these methods have any limitations, such as, supporting condition, boundary condition. In this paper, on the coupled system constructed by the concentrated mass and elastically supported beam, an analytical method of natural frequency is proposed by using Fourier sine transformation. The results are compared and discussed with numerically calculated ones.
