경전철 산업 활성화 및 발전 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development Strategies for the Light Rail Transit Industry)

  • Light rail transit system has many characteristics of better accessibility, frequency service, low construction cost, reduced air pollution and medium-capacity public transport etc. Light rail transit system as a urban transportation system has been growing worldwide since the late 20th century. More than 300 cities around the world have light railway systems. Many medium-size cities in domestic site is planning the construction of light railway. This paper describes the development strategies for the light rail transit industry.

  • The one of the necessary technologies to live in the ubiquitous society that we can exchange some informations whenever it is and wherever we are, is the technology of context-awareness. The technology of context-awareness can be used various fields-medical science, national defense, national security and etc. and the technology can affect our society by and large. The technology of context-awareness is also applicable to many fields in the urban transit. In this paper, we describe the present condition of the technology of context-awareness and the examples of practical application of it and suggest some plans that are applicable to build an intelligent surveillance system for urban transit. We can connect the operating officer who is in the nearest to the place where the some events happened within the urban transit service area through the intelligent surveillance system for urban transit and we can eel a foothold in perceiving automatically various events within urban transit service area. So, the technology of context-awareness is the basic technology to realize an intelligent surveillance for urban transit, for the security of passengers and the protection of facilities in urban transit.

  • The standardization of the urban transit maintenance system consists of BOM System, maintenance parts code system, and accident/trouble code system standardization. This paper is described only the result of BOM System, maintenance parts code system, and accident/trouble code system standardization. The results of standardization are using urban transit maintenance IT system and apply Expert System, RAMS System, and DATABASE contents of various kinds.

  • With the development of the technology, the usage of the car has been increased to the allowed limit of the road and has caused global warming and air pollution. Subway is good transit system with punctuality, safety and eco-friendliness, but it needs relatively much money for construction considering the needs of transit. So it is hard to balance the finance. Many developed countries have adopted advanced transit system including tram for the linking small and medium sized cities after 1980s, due to the relatively low construction cost. This paper reviews the way to increase the role of tram which is planed to be introduced to the local governments as a kind of Advanced transit system.

서울시 중앙버스전용차로 포장방법 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Pavement for Bus Rapid Transit System in Seoul)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to suggest the improvement for bus rapid transit system in Seoul METHODS: The maintenance cost for bus lane damages and plastic deformations are increased by bus passing speed, heavy bus weight, and climate change (localized torrential downpour, subtropical climate) and the accident risk has been increased. RESULTS: Recent analysis of pavement damage indicates that bus lane damage caused by heavy weight is overwhelming and it is urgent to prepare countermeasures. CONCLUSIONS : Pavement data of bus rapid transit system, bus transit numbers and pavement damage elements were analyzed. By analyzing pavement maintenance, design and construction, the countermeasures for the improvement of bus lane pavement and effective maintenance were suggested.

  • These days, in Korea, according to improving the standard living, people generally work 5 days a week and it results more leisure hours. On weekends or in specific season, travel to mountain region around the major city is much in demand, and, in case of public transportation, the demand exceeds the supply. So, people tend to go other places, even overseas, for their holidays. The situation in Korea reflects the needs for mountainous light rail transit system with the object of convenient and rapid transport of passengers. In this paper, the guideline for mountainous light rail transit planing is proposed, and the representative mountainous light rail transit system is analyzed to choose the proper mountainous light rail transit system which adapts the demand for transportation and the terrain in Korea.

  • The Cable Transit has an adaptable center hole for accommodating a cable to be passed through the wall(bulkhead/deck). The Cable Transits Sealing System must have important character which seal and protect against fire, smoke, gas, water, etc and consist of natal frame, sealing system and the cable, insulation. In this paper, introduced our cable transit organic expansion sealing material system, fire-resistance test and test result, etc. We carry to fire-resistance test in according to FTP Code Part 3(IMO Res. A. 754(18)) for A-60 class cable transit and the test result for our cable transit sealing system was satisfied.

비선형설계모형을 이용한 대중교통요금구조평가 (A Nonlinear Programming Model for Evaluating Public Transit Fare Structure)

  • A nonlinear programming model for evaluating public transit fare system is proposed. The model finds transit fare level and the structure that maximizes gross fare-box revenue subject to constraints on minimum ridership and the form of the fare equations. It is assumed that the demand for transit is a function of fare and its own-fare elasticity. It is assumed that the demand for transit is a function of fare and its own-fare elasticity. It is also assumed that the conditions including fare of the other modes are unchanged ; i.e., partial equilibrium. Empirical study has been performed for the case of Seoul subway system. This study includes an analysis of fare structure ; flat system and distance-based fare system. Sensitivity and comperative static analysis for elasticity has been also demonstrated.

  • Urban transit is system that offer target Performance and function because various lower part system such as vehicles, signaling, power supply, rail track is consisted as complex.   • Recently, to solve the urban transportation problem, the introduction of Light Rail Transit system has been proceeded positively. therefore, development of the Korean standard LRT system in which safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness are emphasized. The Korea Railroad Research institute study on Rubber Tired AGT system of Light Rail Transit to obtain the essential technology and engineering know-how, which leads lower LRT construction cost. In the development procedure, SE(system Engineering) is needed for combination of subsystem and optimum operation effect. This study is focused on the interface of LRT subsystem(Development of the rubber tired LRT, Power supply system, signalling and train control system, Elevated track structure for the rubber tired LRT), a important part of SE, to develop of the driverless LRT system and establish the test and evaluation.
