전력용 변압기 차음실 개발 (Development of the Soundproof Enclosure for Power Transformers)

  • 전력수요의 증가 및 도심지역의 확대로 도심지내 변전소에 전력용 변압기의 설치가 필요하나, 변전소의 전력용 변압기에서 발생하는 소음으로 인한 민원이 증가하고 있다. 따라서 전력용 변압기에서 발생하는 소음의 전파를 차단하기 위하여, 옥외 변전소의 전력용 변압기에는 방음벽을 적용하여 왔으며, 옥내 변전소에는 방음문, 방음 셔터 및 풍도형 방음장치 등을 적용하여 왔다. 그러나 이러한 방법에 의한 소음저감 효과는 만족할 정도에 이르지 못하는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 전력용 변압기로부터 발생되는 소음을 효과적으로 차단하기 위해 변압기 차음실을 개발하였다. 개발한 변압기 차음실은 154[kV] 변압기에 적용하여 120[Hz] 성분에서 15[dB]의 소음저감 효과를 확인하였다.

RTU 기반 변전소의 IEC 61850 기반 SA 변전소로의 전환에 대한 실증 연구 (A Study on change from an RTU-based substation to IEC 6 1850-based SA substation)

  • 현재 변전소 자동화를 위해서는 국제 표준인 IEC 61850 통신규약이 사용되어지고 있고, 국내에서도 2007년도부터 시험 적용과 연구개발을 통해 2013년부터 신규 건설되는 변전소는 IEC 61850 기반의 디지털변전소로 준공되어 지고 있다. 하지만 기존 변전 설비들(변압기, T/L GIS, D/L GIS 등)은 그대로 사용하면서 기존 RTU 기반의 변전소 운영 시스템을 IEC 61850 기반의 SA 변전소 운영시스템으로 전환한 사례는 거의 없다. 따라서 기존 변전설비의 IEC 61850 도입은 기존 설비 재사용으로 변전소의 지속가능성을 증대시키고 또한 최신 도입되는 타 변전소와의 상호운영성을 개선하고 기존 변전소를 무인화 운전에 적합한 시스템으로 전환할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 RTU 기반 변전소 운영시스템을 IEC 61850 기반의 현장정보처리반, 이더넷 스위치반, SA 운영시스템을 이용하여 디지털 변전소화한 사례를 소개하고, 패킷 분석 툴인 IEC 61850 클라이언트 인증 프로그램과 Wireshark를 사용하여 IEC 61850 적합성 및 그 타당성을 실증을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • It has been appeared and widely used today SF6 Gas Insulated Substation(Hereafter called GIS) for the power supply to the densely populated area due to the superior insulation withstand ability of SF6 Gas. And to maximize the compact effect of this substation, it is normal practice to connect underground cables. If it is possible to elieminate the redundant lightning arresters using the physical characterestics of travelling waves in underground cables, economical advantages can be obtained together with easy maintenances. It is presented in this paper the possiblity of eliminating the transformer protection lightning arresters under some conditions for the 154kV GIS's (BIL:750kV) which Korea Electric Co. plans to construct using the general purpose digital computer program.

  • This paper describes the analysis resulates on the P.T ferroresonance at 154kV GIS(Gas Insulated Substation) by EMTP(Electromagnetic transient program). We had simulated the PT ferroresonance between a potential transformer(PT) and open circuit braker's grading capacitance. The ferroresonance leads to very large power frequency overvoltage on PT bus and subsequent insulation failure. The damping circuit connected on the secondary winding were considered in the model. The actual countermeasure include a saturable inductor and a resistor series mounted, but the 2 ohms of damping resistance was used in the computational model.

  • With increase of load power the case it will not be able to supply the power which is necessary to the vehicle, it establishes dosage increase of main transformer of substation or power compensation equipment, and must supply the power which is necessary. But like this method the expense and the hour when it is considerable are necessary. As an alternative plan, if neighborhood substation can supply power through parallel feeding then it can supply power applying the equipment of existing. So we investigate the possibility of parallel feeding method between neighboring substations through measuring results of voltage phase difference and analysing feeding circuit,

The Lightning Current Parameters that Impact on the Surge Analysis of the EHV Gas Insulated Substation by EMTP

  • This paper describes the lightning surge analysis model of extra high voltage GIS using EMTP. Various lightning current parameters were investigated in order to confirm the impact on the lightning surge analysis such as lightning current amplitude, waveform, size of GIS, tower footing resistance and surge arresters. The multi-story tower model and EMTP/TACS model were introduced for the simulation of dynamic arc characteristics. The margin between the maximum overvoltage and BIL of the GIS was about 10 percent and the margin between the maximum overvoltage and BIL of the transformer was 21 percent.

  • In this paper, we describe the basic design of the preventive diagnostic expert system for 765kV substation equipments. This expert system is developed to use expert system development tool and the main subjects considered are 765kV class power transformer and GIS. We basically designed the total structure of expert system and considered database interface methods, inference engine and control, triggering system which compose expert system.

  • This paper describes the analysis results on the PT ferroresonance at 154 kV GIS (gas Insulated substation by EMTP (Electro-magnetic Transient Program). We had simulated the PT ferroresonance between a potential transformer(PT) and an open circuit breaker's grading capacitance. The ferroresonance leads to very large power frequency overvoltages on PT bus and subsequent insulation failure. The large power can be supplied to the PT by the high voltage on the opened circuit due to the grading capacitance and equivalent capacitance of the buses during the ferroresonance. The damping circuit connected on the secondary winding were considered in the model. The actual countermeasure include a saturable inductor and a resistor series-mounted, but the 2 ohms of damping resistance was used in the computational model.

  • In this paper we introduce preventative and diagnostic systems developed to prevent substations from accidental fault of electric power transmitting apparatus. We propose monitoring and diagnostic system for ultra high voltage GIS and main transformer of 765kV substations as an example of preventative and diagnostic techniques being applied in Korea. We also present a guideline to construct and manage an expert system for this purpose. Finally, an engineering solution as a substation management support system is proposed.

  • The surge arrester plays a vital role in the protection of substation against transient overvoltages resulting from lightning surges and system switching operations. The proper selection and application of the surge arrester is an integral part of the process of substation equipment insulation level selection. The paper outlines the basic consideration in modeling the lightning stroke, the surge arrester, and the system to be protected. The paper discusses the results of various cases simulated using the alternative transient computer program to evaluate the separation effects.
