  • In this thesis, a high speed code synchronization circuit is implemented, which is applicable to frequency hopping FSK tranceiver within 68-88 MIBz band- width. synchronization Process consists of two steps, initial synchronization and tracking. A modified matched filter method using two channel passive correlators matched with short hopping frequencies, synchronization prcfix. is proposed for initial synchronization. To increase probability of initial synchronization, prefix are transmitted repeatedly. The outputs of correlators are sent to synchronization decision circuit, and code start time Is extracted by synchronizatlon decision circuit-Modified matched fitter method makes it possible to reduce complexity in hardware and obtain code acquisition rapidly.Clock recovery circuit regenerates PN code clock for tracking.

  • In this paper, a low phase noise frequency synthesizer used to TX local oscillator in BWLL RF tranceiver is presented. The phase-locked stable 25GHz-band frequencies in BWLL TX LO are obtained by using 2 GHz baseband frequency synthesizer, sixth-harmonic frequency multiplier and frequency doubler at 12 GHz band frequency input. The 25 GHz band frequency synthesizer presented in this paper has 3-output frequencies at 24.92 GHz, 25.10 GHz, 25.26 GHz. At 24.92 GHz frequency the synthesizer has 0.44 dBm output power and shows -87.93 dBc/Hz(a 10 KHz), -109.54 dBc/Hz (a100 KHz) phase noise characteristics .

  • In wireless communication system using 2.4GHz radio link, data rate varies with time due to interferences, which causes the performance degradation. Therefore, effective transmission methods are required to obtain better performance according to varying data rate. This paper proposes a novel method that increases the data rate, as well as the influence of different loop-filter bandwidths on the performance of the PLL. Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective because it can achieve higher throughput in various data rate.

  • 본 논문은 HDTV camera에 응용할 수 있는 직/병렬화기에 관한 것이다. 송신단은 camera에서 만들어진 영상 음성 및 제어 74.25Mb/s 20bit 병렬 데이터를 1.485Gb/s의 직렬 데이터로 변환하여 송신하고 수신단은 수신된 직렬 데이터에서 클럭을 추출한 뒤 원래의 74.25Mb/s 20bit 병렬 데이터로 복원한다. 0.25um CMOS공정을 이용하여 설계하였으며 2.5V 단일 전원에서 총 615mW의 전력을 소모한다.

  • A variety of methods for indoor positioning systems have been underway to ensure the safety of emergency rescuers who are working in dangerous situations such as fire fighters. However, since most systems display locations of rescue workers in two-dimension (2D)-based maps, it is difficult for a commander located in the outside to recognize locations of rescuers inside the building intuitively. An augmented reality (AR)-based indoor positioning monitoring system can display locations of rescuer inside the building that can be seen by commanders to help intuitive recognition of positioning. To monitor AR-based indoor positioning, it is necessary to have an estimation technique of line of sight vector of observers. In the present study, an estimation technique of a line of sight vector using ultra-wide band tranceiver installed inside the indoor to trace locations is presented.

  • In this paper, we suggest a way of implementing ISDN S-Interface through two-wire premises telephone networks instead of using four wires as in the existing ISDN systems. This will help many developing or underdeveloped countries in the world to introduce ISDN services, where they have only two or low wires as in-building telephone networks. We suggest new physical-layer specifications for two-wire S-interface similar to that in ITU-T recommendations I.430 for four-wire systems, design a tranceiver according to the suggested specifications, and implement it using an FPGA We build a test board with the chip on it and succeed in connecting to Internet.

  • In this paper, the radiation characteristics of a bar-type tranceiver are analyzed by using FDTD method and the effectiveness of the analysis method is verified by comparing the calculated data with experimental data. The effects of human head and hand on the radiation characteristics of fold-type transceiver are analyzed. In order to observe the effects of human head and hand on the input impedance and far-field radiation pattern, a fold-type transceiver with .lambda./4 monopole antenna wrapped by human hand operating in the proximity of hea dis modeled an analyzed.

  • In this paper, we presented a modeling of the power line channel and a new digital communication system over the channel. Firstly, we proposed a new tranceiver structure with DS-CDMA spread spectrum technique and convolutional coder and block interleaver against severe noisy power line environment. Also, QPSK modulation technique was used to get bandwidth efficiency. And then we performed a simulative evaluation of the system using MATLAB communication/simulink toolbox. According to the simulation results, the proposed system gives $10^{-6}$ BER at 20dB SNR.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of Serial ATA physical layer and performance measurement. It is composed of tranceiver circuit that has the NRZ data stream with +/-250㎷ voltage level and 1.5Gbps data rate, transmission PLL circuit, clock & data recovery circuit, serializer/deserializer circuit and OOB(Out Of Band) generation/detection circuit. We implement the verification of the silicon chip with 0.18${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ Standard CMOS process. It can be seen that all of the blocks operate with no errors but the data transfer rate is limited to the 1.28Gbps even this should support 1.5Gbps data transfer rate.

  • Bluetooth 4.0 is a low energy near communication technology. It is a suitable for Internet of Things(IoT), that is, all devices using small electric power consume are connected because power consumption is more lowing and brodening for application scope against bluetooh 3.0. Therefore in this paper, a present situation of beacon technologies are investigated and a design principle of restaurant advertisement and order system using beacon technology are presented. A beacon which is tranceiver based on bluetooth 4.0 technology and bluetooth 4.0 receiver device design is showed and design method of smart-phone interlocking these devices is presented. Also it shows that this design method is very useful for the Restaurant Advertisement & Order Commercial System production.
