  • Our society has been dominated by the Dilemma Theory that rational individuals cannot get out of the 'Tragedy of the Commons' without helps from state or market. However, many empirical researches have discovered cases that common pool resources could be managed by cooperative methods of community. Based on the possibility of managing common pool resources by residents' cooperation/solidarity revealed by the recent case researches, this study aims to seek for the theoretical basis to prove it. Generally, public policies are carried forward based on the theoretical basis of the relevant social issues. The objective of this study is to suggest the new direction of policies related to domestic common resources through the researches on community's role in managing local common pool resources represented as "scenic spot". For this, it aims to reveal the influence of community activity on behavioral intention of local common pool resources, by drawing/quantitatively measuring measurement items of local residents' community activity on top of attitude, norms, and behavioral control suggested by the existing Theory of Planned Behavior. The results of this study are as follows; 4 factors such as attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, perceived behavior control, and community activity were all factors that influenced intention to manage.

  • 지난 세월호 참사를 계기로 재난안전에 대한 컨트롤타워 역할을 수행할 국민안전처가 신설되어 재난관리체계에 대한 근본적인 변화가 시작되고 있다. 국민안전처의 신설은 규모와 권한 강화 측면에서 미국의 국토안보부 창설과도 비견될 정도로 강력한 대응으로 볼 수 있지만, 안정적인 정착을 위해서는 앞으로 해결해야 할 과제들이 많은 것으로 판단된다. 특히 지금까지의 논의가 기관 출범을 위한 하드웨어적인 측면에서 논의되어 상대적으로 소프트웨어의 측면에 대한 논의가 소홀한 측면이 있다. 본 연구는 국민안전처를 중심으로한 국가 재난관리 체계의 혁신과정에 재난관리의 주요 원칙 중 하나인 모든 위험 접근법(All-hazard approach)을 적용하여 발생 가능한 모든 위험에 대해 분석과 평가를 통해 우선 순위를 정하고, 이를 기준으로 위험에 대비하는 체계를 마련할 필요가 있다는 것을 제안하며, 특히 우리나라의 환경적 특성을 감안한 효과적인 대안이 마련되어야 한다.

  • In this study I surveyed the dress and the color symbolism of Scarlett and Melanie in the movie "Gone with the Wind" based on the novel by Margaret Mitchell. In investigating the dress and the color symbolism, I analyzed Scarlett and Melanie's image as described in the novel, and examined how the symbolic imagery is represented through coloration based on the DVD reproduction of the movie "Gone with the Wind" originally produced in 1939. In her novel, the author Margaret Mitchell introduced two women, Scarlett and Melanie, whose respective image sharply contrasts with each other. To express Scarlett's young, vigorous, lusty, and vivacious image, she uses green to depict the character, clothing, and background on the whole. Black, which mainly expresses the death image of the mourning dress. Red symbolizes her fast and lavish image. On the other hand, gray is used to describe Melanie's sedate, shyness, and modest image while alluding to her gloomy atmosphere. Brown symbolizes her sedate and plain image in the novel. In the movie, green symbolizes Scarlett's overwhelming image of youth and liveliness as also depicted in the novel. Melanie, however, seems to appear consistently in gray-blue or purple dresses to reflect her image of modesty, sedation and dignity. Melanie's blue image contrasts with Scarlett's blue image in that the latter is used to hint at the omen to a tragedy to come. Red is used to express Scarlett's passionate and fast image. Black symbolizes death or mourning in the movie.

성학대 피해 자녀를 둔 어머니의 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구 (Study on Mothers with Sexually Abused Children)

  • 본 연구는 자녀의 성학대 피해 이후 어머니의 경험에 대해 현상학적 연구방법을 통해 참여자의 경험 본질을 탐색하고 실천적 함의를 제언하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 아동과 관련한 사회복지 시설과 기관을 통해 성학대 피해아동의 어머니 5명을 추천받아 2회 이상의 심층면접을 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구자는 선이해를 드러냄으로써 연구자의 선견과 편견을 괄호치기 하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 참여자는 자녀의 성학대 경험을 통해 '나락 아래로 영혼마저 사라짐'과 같은 절망감을 느끼며, 자녀의 성학대 사건 이후 '망가짐, 벼랑끝, 아이와 가족이 같이 무너짐' 같은 고통을 겪었다. 게다가 참여자는 '처절함, 내 아이를 지키기 위해 몸부림 침' 속에서 '한줄기 빛, 버틸 수 있는 힘을 얻음'으로 삶을 포기하지 않고 살아간다. '하지만 절망, 외면, 아이의 상처까지 마음속에 벽으로 쌓아두고 살아감'으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 성학대 피해아동의 어머니에 대한 사회복지 실천은 동반자적 입장으로 사건발생 10여 일 전후로 개입이 절대적으로 필요하다.

임신부에서 약물의 안전사용을 위한 연구의 필요성 (Necessity of Research for Safe Drug use in Pregnant Women)

  • The thalidomide tragedy in the 1960s has resulted in a perpetuation of a certain perception amongst physicians and pregnant women that the use of medication during pregnancy is a potential teratogen. Consequently, physicians hesitate in prescribing medication to pregnant women. In addition, pregnant women often refuse medication despite therapeutic necessity because of this existing perception. Recently there have been frequent adverse pregnancy outcomes related to the recurrence of chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, following pregnancy in older women. And there are lots of unnecessary termination of pregnancy due to the of information of medication exposed to medication following over 50% of unintended pregnancy. In light of this, better dissemination of information regarding the safe usage of medication for pregnant women is required. This would not only be cost-effective in terms of medical expenditure, but also prove beneficial for the treatment of diseases. In addition, Korea needs to adapt to the increasing changes of the international information system regarding supporting the safe usage of medication during pregnancy. An example of this is shown by the recent changes to the labeling of medication by the United States Food and Drug Administration. The new labeling includes information on the risk of usage, rather than just an arbitrary alphabetic classification of B, C, D, or X. Furthermore, this information is limited in Korea because of the lack of research, which in turn is due to several limitations on ethics and methodology, as well as present regulations on the research of pregnant women. From this, we can learn that government support is critical for the establishment of research so that we can alter the perception that all medication is harmful to pregnant women.

멜로드라마, 그 근대적인 모럴의 형식 (Melodrama as a Form of the Moral)

  • Melodrama emerged as a form of the moral in the early modern age. As an approach 'the moral' not only means that rewarding virtue and punishing vice, but also refer to a principle of spiritual life and a way of life. -Melodrama theatricalizes a new vision of human life and society through a new type of the virtuous protagonist and sentiment/-ality. -This allows melodrama to be a dominant cultural form in this modern age, beyond the borders of the theater, mass-media, and literature. Virtue and sentiment/-ality are the core elements of melodrama, which differentiate it from tragedy and comedy especially in the structure and effect of the drama. Actually virtue and sentiment/-ality have been a main target of criticism. Virtue has been regarded as a trite quality of the stereotypical protagonist, and sentiment/-ality as a banal emotion which paralyzes an audience's recognition of reality. -However, this thesis regards both virtue and sentiment/-ality as vehicles for showing and sharing the morals of the modern age. First, the virtues of the protagonist included the general and universal ones of the bourgeois -at that times, the bourgeois represented themselves as a human being- such as the responsibility and obedience of a father, a mother, a wife, a husband, a daughter and a son. They also included the professional ethics such as courage, honesty, and justice and so on. The fall or salvation of the protagonist is largely determined by his/her private individual virtue. Second, sentiment/ality is a theatrical device that makes the audience internalize the protagonist's virtue. The protagonist expresses his/her universal virtue sentimentally, and the audience also expresses their virtue by sympathizing with the protagonist's virtue sentimentally. However, the melodramatic protagonist as an individual, is not connected with society, but remains isolated. As a result, s/he has no influence on the society, where s/he can only ends her/his play alone with a happy-ending. S/he is happy alone, or at best happy with his/her own family. On the contrary to this, tragic protagonist usually fixes social disorder through his/her fall. In that sense, we can say that melodrama presents only the half of the human life.

석굴암, 세 번의 수리 공사와 세 개의 공간 개념 - 석굴암 건축과 안팎의 공간 구분을 중심으로 - (Thrice Repair Works and Three Space Conceptions in Seokguram - focusing on Seokguram Architecture and Virtual Space Division of Inside and Outside -)

  • The purpose of this study is to critically review the repair works of Seokguram architecture and to search for its original form and space. Seokguram's architectural form has been transformed throughout three repair works. The first transformation occurred during the repair work of the Colonial Government in 1913-1915, and the second occurred during the repair work of the Colonial Government in 1920-1923. The repair work done by the Korean Government in 1961-1964 also caused a severe change in the architectural form and space of Seokguram architecture. The more the repair work was added to Seokguram, the more its original form flew away like a mirage. Through the three repair works, the spatial composition of Seokguram changed in the following directions: from ((front chamber + passageway) + main chamber) to (front chamber + (passageway + main chamber)) through the second repair work, from (front chamber + (passageway + main chamber)) to (front chamber + passageway + main chamber) through the last repair work. Although the compositional space hierarchy of Seokguram was maintained during the first repair work, the architectural form based on the dry method was changed to the form based on the wet method. The Korean government's repair work was a tragedy for the 'Seokguram conservation project' that the people who led the conservation process misunderstood the architectural nature of Seokguram.

동래야류의 갈등표현 방식 연구 (The Study on Conflict expression of DongraeYaroo)

  • 동래야류에 나타난 갈등의 표현 방식을 시간과 정념을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 시간을 중심으로 고찰한 이유는 민속가면극의 내적 형식을 알아보고자함이었고 정념을 중심으로 고찰한 이유는 민속가면극의 외적 형식을 알아보고자함이었다. 시간은 과거로부터 현재로 이동하는 시간의 변화 속에 발생한 인물들의 위상과 가치관의 변화와 관련되었고 정념은 정신에서 출발한 정기가 육체를 움직이는 어떤 작용, 인간의 마음을 움직이는 정서이면서 윤리적인 삶을 결정짓는 내적 가치관과 관련되었다. 즉, 동래야류는 시간의 변화를 통해 갈등을 드러냈으며 봉건제적 시대와 가치관을 비판하는 리얼리즘이라는 내적 형식을 시간을 통해 보여 주었다. 정념은 등장인물의 갈등을 통해 인간의 정서를 정동(affect)하는 멜로드라마적 경향의 외적 형식을 보였다. 동래야류에는 등장인물의 성적 욕망과 관련된 정념의 내용으로 갈등을 일으키는 부분이 여러 곳이다. 왜곡된 정념도 있고 정념의 정상적 표출인데 죽음으로 연결되는 비극적 정념도 있다.

브라운부인의 『시간들』: 마이클 커닝햄이 재현한 『댈러웨이 부인』 (Mrs. Brown's The Hours: Michael Cunningham's Represented Mrs. Dalloway)

  • Patricia Waugh once regarded modernism fiction as 'the struggle for personal autonomy' against the opposition existing social institutions and conventions. Michael Cunningham's characterizations of Virginia Woolf and Septimus in The Hours show the two contrasting reactions to individual alienation and mental dissolution in the modern era. As the personifications of endurance and self-destruction against the mechanical power of contemporary world, Woolf and Septimus consist of just the world of diptych where the woman's role is confined to the angel in the house. By creating Mrs. Brown based upon his own alienated mother image, however, Cunningham succeeds in representing the more dramatically vivid world of triptych where woman can have her own room and self-realization despite still facing the dilemma of the traditional family. Accepting Joycean Bloom's optimistic and relaxing way of life in part, Mrs. Brown connects the labyrinths between the author's (and also Richard's) alienation with the theme of celebration of the life. Clarissa in postmodern New York setting is still a concealed and mystified character. Similar to Mrs. Dalloway, on the one hand Clarissa watches other people's tragedy with compassion. Cunningham's Clarissa, on the other hand, is no longer seeking for either winning or defeat in the spectacular world unlike her predecessors. In many resilient attitudes of everyday life Clarissa is closest to Mrs. Brown whom Virginia Woolf originally hopes to describe. Without any fear or rage toward the society Clarissa witnesses and achieves "the humanity, humour, depth" of female values by successfully turning the trivial life into an epic journey.

복지국가의 인센티브 문제에 관한 연구 (A Study of Incentive Problems of Welfare State)

  • 이 글에서는 북구 복지국가 모델이 경제적 인센티브와 윤리-규범의 문제로 인하여 장기적으로 지속가능하기 어렵다는 경제학적 논리를 비판적으로 검토하였다. 형평을 목적으로 하는 정치적 기획인 복지국가의 주된 경제적 기능은 위험에 대한 사회적 보호 즉 보험 기능이다. 복지국가는 사적 보험의 실패를 극복하여 인적자원과 혁신 투자를 촉진하는 효과를 가지지만, 기여와 분리된 조세 기반의 보편적 복지와 시장에서의 임금평등을 추구하는 복지국가는 잠재적으로 인센티브의 문제를 가질 수 있다. 그러나 스웨덴과 같은 북구 복지국가는 고용 중심의 제도 배열, 노동윤리와 급여규범 유지에 기여하는 제도 정책의 설계 운영, 격차 축소의 인센티브 메커니즘 형성, 교육에 대한 공적 투자와 사회보장과의 정합성 구축 등을 통해 이를 극복할 수 있었다. 북구 복지국가 모델은 인센티브-규범의 문제가 이론과 논리의 문제가 아니라 제도와 정책으로 대응가능한 현실의 문제를 보여주는 현실적 사례라고 할 수 있다.
