부산항 환적화물 분석에 유치를 위한 항만경쟁력 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on Competitiveness of Busan Port on Attracting Transshipment Cargo)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고부가가치 창출을 위한 부산항 환적화물 유치 속성과 항만경쟁력이 무엇인지를 밝히고자 하였다. 환적화물 경쟁력을 항만물동량과 시장점유율로 정의하고 환적항만 환경요인을 내부환경과 외부환경으로 구분하여 이들이 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 연구결과 최적의 환적항만이 되기 위해서는 내부환경으로 배후규모와 입지, 시설 및 요율이, 외부환경으로는 국제 네트워크와 물류관리 정보화가 물동량증가에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 환적화물 유치전략을 극대화하기 위한 방안을 제시하면 첫째 입항에서 하역, 운송, 가공, 선적에 이르는 일괄관리시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 둘째, 관세법에서 규정한 개항을 자유무역지역으로 지정하여 관세 및 내국세 비과세를 통한 외국자본의 유업 및 물동량 증가라는 시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 셋째, 자본의 자유로운 이동을 위하여 불법적인 자본이동을 제외한 외국환거래의 대폭적인 자유화를 보장하여 화주 및 선박회사의 부산항 화물유치 증대 및 투자유치를 적극 추진하여야 한다.

광양만권 자유무역지역의 기능 강화 방안에 관한 연구 (Alternatives for Strengthening the Function of Free Trade Zone in Gwangyang Bay Area)

  • 최근 자유무역지역은 물류 기능에 생산 기능을 적절히 보완하는 복합형을 지향하는 것이 일반적이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 광양만권 자유무역지역은 전통적인 물류 기능에만 집중되어 생산 기능 도입을 통한 부가가치 창출은 미흡한 수준에 있다. 따라서 자유무역지역을 지역 및 국가 발전의 성장 동력으로 활용하기 위한 기능 강화 방안이 제시되어야 한다. 기능 강화를 위해서는 생산 기능 도입을 통합 복합형 자유 무역지역 지향과 관리 운영상의 효율화 방안이 필요한 것으로 분석된다. 주요 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 단기적으로는 기존에 자유무역지역으로 지정되어 있는 서측 배후단지의 일부를 활용하여 생산 기능을 강화하고, 중장기적으로는 자유무역지역의 확대 지정을 통한 생산 기능의 강화가 필요하다. 둘째, 효율적인 관리 운영을 위해 단기적으로는 자유무역지역 간의 협력체계를 구축하는 것이 필요하며, 중장기적으로는 자유무역지역 간의 중복된 기능을 단일화하고 통합 관리하는 정책적 방안이 필요하다.

항만의 분류 및 그 특성 분석에 관한 연구(I) (A Study on the Classification of Ports and It's Characteristics)

  • Grouping ports in certain region by their characteristics could be used as the principal informations to establish national policy for port development or investment and also to analyze the competitiveness among ports. Currently Korean ports are divided into two groups such as the local port and the designated Port containing foreign trade port and coastal port under the Korean Port Act. This classification seems to be used for port administration as the matter of convenience but some qualitative grouping is needed for research of port-related matters. The aim of this paper is to cluster 28 foreign trade ports as per the similar characteristics by Hard C-Means and to analyze the results of this clustering.

  • Kenya is a sovereign country with a vast potential in maritime industry. Though Kenya is known to have made it in IMO white list on $14^{TH}$ May 2010, she is making huge investments in maritime industry in an effort to have a share of booming world maritime industry and sea trade. Statistics has it that 90% of trade volume is carried on the sea, which is strong indication that for any country inspiring to be an economic powerhouse it has to have a lion share of sea trade volume, and one of the proven ways in gaining economic success is by investing heavily in maritime infrastructure. The purpose of this paper is to give a brief description of marine traffic status in port of Mombasa which is the largest port in Kenya, highlight vital features of multi-billion Lamu port investment under taken by the Kenyan government and finally discuss the future of maritime industry and Kenyan seafarer.

새만금신항 활성화를 위한 전라북도 수출구조 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Export Structure in Jeollabuk-do for the Activation of Saemangeum New Port)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the import and export volume of Jeollabuk-do to establish a plan to activiation Saemangeum New Port. To this end, this study utilized the HHI(Herfindahl-Hirschman Index), LQ(Location Quotient) analysis using the annual data set from the Korea Trade Statistics Promotion Institution between 2015 to 2020. As a result, it has been confirmed that the degree of export volume concentration (HHI (Herfindahl-Hirschman Index)) in Jeollabuk-do has been increasing over the past 5 years. According to results of LQ(Location Quotient) analysis, Brazil had the highest index in the case of exporting countries, and Meat, edible meat offal (HS 2) had the highest index in the case of export items. This paper is meaningful in analyzing the export structure using import and export volumes and proposing a plan to improve the competitiveness of Saemangeum New Port.

청도 보세항구의 발전방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development Strategy of Qingdao Bonded Port in China)

  • With the rapid development of global economy and trade, international logistics has made great progress in the past few years. As an irreplaceable part in China's foreign trade industry, ocean shipping, especially. ports management has played a crucial role in the development of China. In 2008, The Qingdao Qianwan bonded port was built in China, and has developed in to a door to connect China to the world. This paper introduced and compared the similarities and differences among the Yangshan Bonded Port, Dalian Dayawan Bonded Port, Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Port and Qingdao Bonded Port. According to SWOT analysis, a further discussion was then made on the potential problems of Qingdao Bonded Port. At last, some development strategies are given accordingly.

In this paper, 28 major Korean ports were clustered by the similar characteristics using Fuzzy C-Means and found to be classified 8 qualitative groups.

마산자유무역지역 발전방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development Direction of MFTZ)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the need of Masan Free Trade Zone and the strategy of successful implementation. MFTZ was established as a center of general free trade and global distribution by means the promotion of foreign investment in 1970s. To promote the development of MFTZ, it can be proposed a) successful technology innovation, b) reforming of related laws and regulations, c) the care of local government, d) strengthening of marketing activities, e) deeping of comparative advantage of investment, f) encouraging of strategic industries.

지역특화산업을 고려한 군산항 발전 방안 (A Study on Strategies of Gunsan Port by Considering Regional Characteristics)

  • This study comprehensively reviews the research conducted until recently in order to derive realistic alternatives in consideration of local industries. The case analysis was performed on a competitive port of similar size, and strategies and revitalization measures were suggested in consideration of the conditions of Gunsan Port. Literature review focused on papers and major reports. The case of similar size were analyzed for Daesan port, Boryeong port, and Mokpo port. In order to find strategies to revitalize the regional port logistics industry behind Gunsan Port, the recent opportunities and threat factors of Gunsan Port were derived. In order to foster the regional port logistics industry with Gunsan Port as its main base, this study proposes a three-step development strategy. It is necessary to increase the effectiveness of the public-private joint port sales and maintain the incentive system, but use it as a means to strengthen the competitiveness of Gunsan Port. Since the possibility of opening various routes is not high due to the conditions of Gunsan Port, various business models can be devised to link the currently opened routes. Start-up in the logistics field can stand out if they provide predictive data or provide consulting services by securing and analyzing logistics data, not directly providing logistics services.
