메뉴 구조의 평가 방법론으로서 활성화 확산 모델의 타당성 검증: Eye-Tracking 접근 방법 (The Validation of Spreading Activation Model as Evaluation Methodology of Menu Structure: Eye Tracking Approach)

  • This study was designed to validate Spreading Activation Theory (SAT) for an evaluation methodology for menu structure through Eye-Tracking approach. When a visual search is on the way, more eye fixations and time are necessary to visually process complex and vague area. From the aspect of recognition, well-designed menu structures were hypothesized to have fewer numbers of fixations and shorter duration because well-designed menu structures reflecting the users' mental model would be well matched with the product's menu structure, resulting in reducing the number of fixations and duration time. The results show that the shorter reaction times for SAT had significantly fewer numbers of fixation and shorter duration time as the hypothesis for this study stated. In conclusion, SAT was proved to be an effective evaluation methodology for menu structure with the eye tracking equipment. In addition, using SAT instead of the real performance experiment would be useful for designing user-centered systems and convenient information structures because SAT was proven to be the theoretical background for design and evaluation of menu structures.

  • 본 논문에서는 야간 CCTV 영상을 활용하여 보행자를 검출하고 추적하는 방법을 제안하고 추적 성능을 분석한다. 유사 Haar 특징을 이용하여 Adaboost 알고리즘으로 학습하고 종속분류기로 객체를 검출한다. 파티클 필터를 활용하여 검출된 보행자를 추적한다. 야간 CCTV영상에 대하여 파티클 필터의 객체 추적에 효율적인 파티클 수와 분포를 실험을 통하여 제시하였다. 골목길 등에서 취득한 야간 CCTV영상에 대하여 검출과 추적성능을 검증하였다.

  • 본 연구는 그래픽 이미지의 움직임 속도와 움직임 방향 변화에 따라 안구의 시선이동 변화를 추적하여 주의유인정도가 있는지를 알아본 연구이다. 실험설계는 움직임 속성별로, 속도(4개), 방향(수평 2개, 수직 2개, 대각선 4개) 각각에 대해서 움직임 요인(n)에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 종속변수는 주시시작시간, 주시지속시간, 전체주시시간, 시선이동거리로 설정하였다. 그래픽 이미지의 움직임 속도 변화는 시선이동으로 알아본 주의 정도가 전혀 유의미하지 않았다. 좌우 이동에서는 좌에서 우로의 움직임이, 상하 이동에서는 아래에서 위로의 움직임이 주의 정도가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 대각선 이동에서는 속도 변화와 마찬가지로 유의미한 차이가 없었다.

A Self-Supervised Detector Scheduler for Efficient Tracking-by-Detection Mechanism

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 고성능 다중 객체 추적을 수행하기 위해 최적의 TBD (Tracking-by-detection) 메커니즘을 결정할 수 있는 Detector Scheduler를 제안한다. Detector Scheduler는 서로 다른 프레임 간의 특징량 차이를 측정하는 것으로 검출기 실행 여부를 결정하여 전체 추적 속도를 향상한다. 하지만, Detector Scheduler의 학습에 필요한 GT (Ground Truth) 생성이 어렵기 때문에 Detector Scheduler를 추적 결과만을 통해 학습 가능한 자가 학습 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 자가 학습 방법은 프레임 간의 객체 카디널리티와 객체 외형 특징량의 비유사도가 커질 때 검출기를 실행할 수 있도록 의사 레이블을 생성하고 제안된 손실함수를 통해 Detector Scheduler를 학습한다.

  • Generally, the conventional tracking algorithms are very limited in the practical applications because of that the computation load is exponentially increased as the number of targets being tracked is increase. Recently, to overcome this kind of limitation, some new tracking methods based on neural network algorithms which have learning and parallel processing capabilities are introduced. By application of neural networks to multi-target tracking problems, the tracking system can be made computationally independent of the number of objects being tracked, through their characteristics of massive parallelism and dense interconnectivity. In this paper, a new neural network tracking algorithm, which has capability of adaptive target tracking with little increase of the amount of calculation under the clutter and noisy environments, is suggested and the possibility of real-time multi-target tracking system based on neural networks is also demonstrated through some good computer simulation results.

  • This paper describes the algorithm for more fast tracking by compensation of the staring angle of antenna to receive the satellite signal changed by the mobile vehicle direction. The staring angle is compensated by signal processing from the electronic compass which is called VECTOR2X, and a left-right tracking method. Especially, when mobile vehicle is turning with high speed, it is observed a result which has more fast tracking time by using angle tracking technique compensated by electronic compass than one by only left right tracking method.

  • This paper presents the development of a satellite antenna tracking control system using a plane antenna for mobile DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) reception. To track more rapidly in the antenna of this system, this simple tracking system only tracks a direction of azimuth using pendulum in the direction of elevation. This system should track using the AGC(Automatic Gain Control) of the signal level which can receive DAB in spite of the changing of point and movement of the mobile. The directional gyro sensor is attached to solve the delay time in the Proposed tracking algorithm. The effectiveness of both the stabilization and tracking algorithm is demonstrated through experiment measuring AGC signal level. The implemented satellite antenna tracking control system is shown to be excellent for mobile DAB reception.

동적 윤곽 모델을 이용한 이동 물체 추적 (Moving Object Tracking Using Active Contour Model)

  • In this paper, the visual tracking system for arbitrary shaped moving object is proposed. The established tracking system can be divided into model based method that needs previous model for target object and image based method that uses image feature. In the model based method, the reliable tracking is possible, but simplification of the shape is necessary and the application is restricted to definite target mod el. On the other hand, in the image based method, the process speed can be increased, but the shape information is lost and the tracking system is sensitive to image noise. The proposed tracking system is composed of the extraction process that recognizes the existence of moving object and tracking process that extracts dynamic characteristics and shape information of the target objects. Specially, active contour model is used to effectively track the object that is undergoing shape change. In initializatio n process of the contour model, the semi-automatic operation can be avoided and the convergence speed of the contour can be increased by the proposed effective initialization method. Also, for the efficient solution of the correspondence problem in multiple objects tracking, the variation function that uses the variation of position structure in image frame and snake energy level is proposed. In order to verify the validity and effectiveness of the proposed tracking system, real time tracking experiment for multiple moving objects is implemented.

A Review on the Application of Eye-tracking in Design Areas

  • Objective: This study aims to examine domestic literature on eye-tracking in the design area, and to present new eye-tracking application directions. Background: Eye-tracking was introduced in the experimental psychology field for the first time in the 1950s. Eye-tracking has high utilization values in the design application area because eye-tracking can accumulate data on what people see, providing the quantitative values on eye movement. Method: This study examined the papers published in domestic journals, as well as the papers presented in conferences from 2000 to 2016 through DBPIA. Results: Although the use of eye-tracking technology was slightly meager in the product design area, it has been actively used for the evaluation analyses of preference and attention in architecture/public design. Eye-tracking also presented a method to design advertisement that is helpful to advertisement effect measurement, and product salesin the advertisement design area. Since detail psychological analysis is possible, the application of eye-tracking in the studies related with user interface has been active. Conclusion: The eye-tracking technology is projected to be actively used as a new interface means, such as in helping in disabled people's communication and in device control, in addition to conventional application areas. Application: This study would be of help to find future research areas of eye-tracking.

특징점 추적을 이용한 실시간 끼어들기 위반차량 검지 시스템 (Real-time Lane Violation Detection System using Feature Tracking)

  • 본 논문에서는 특징점 추적을 이용한 끼어들기 위반차량 검지 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 끼어들기 위반차량 검지 시스템의 전체적인 알고리즘은 영상 변환 및 전처리, 특징 추출, 추적대상 차량의 특징점 등록 및 추적, 끼어들기 위반차량 검지 등의 단계로 구성된다. 특히 형태학적 기울기 영상을 이용하여 특징점을 추출하므로 써 주간 및 야간 영상에 대해 동일한 알고리즘을 적용하여 그림자, 기상 조건, 차량 전조등 및 조명 등에 강인한 영상 검지 시스템을 구성 한다. 제안한 시스템을 끼어들기 금지구간에서 주간, 야간, 비 오는 날 야간에 취득한 영상을 사용하여 실험한 결과 정인식률 99.49%와 오류율 0.51%를 보였다. 또한 실시간처리에 문제가 없는 평균 91.34frame/s의 빠른 처리속도를 나타냈다.
