중국의 일본계 자동차 메이커 딜러의 분포와 수리 및 보수용 부품의 관리체제 - 광치 도요타사(社)의 사례를 중심으로 - (Distribution of the Dealer and Repair Parts Management System of a Japanese Multinational Car Manufacturer in China: Focusing on the Case of GAC Toyota Motors)

  • 본 논문은 광치 도요타사를 사례로 한 일본계 자동차 메이커의 중국 시장 딜러 분포와 수리 및 보수용 부품의 관리 체제에 대해 검토한다. 조사 방법으로, 광치 도요타사의 어느 딜러를 통하여, 딜러의 전국적인 분포 상황과 부품물류창고의 입지 상황, 수리 및 보수용 부품의 재고 상황과 배송 시스템 등에 대한 정보를 입수했다. 조사 결과로, 당사는 전국에 437개 점포에 딜러가 있으나, 인구비율 등을 고려하면 점포의 분포가 해안 지역에 치우치고 있으며, 근년 자동차의 수요가 높아지고 있는 내륙 지역 진출이 늦어지고 있다. 한편으로, 지역별 GDP 총액과 점포 수 사이에 높은 상관관계가 있으며, 당사에서는 비교적 경제규모가 작은 내륙 지역의 소비자를 대상으로 한 저가격의 차종을 판매하는 것보다, 경제규모가 큰 해안 지역의 대도시에서 고가의 자동차를 판매하는 것을 중요시하고 있다. 그리고 당사의 점포수가 확대되지 않는 요인으로써, 당사가 중요시하는 충분한 사후 서비스를 운영하는 딜러를 확보하는 것이 어렵다는 점이 꼽힌다. 당사에서는 딜러에게 수리 및 보수용 부품 중, 최저 1,500점 이상의 재고를 확보하도록 하는 방침을 살피고 있다. 또한 보수용 부품을 교환할 경우, 고객에게 충분한 설명을 하는 것과 동의를 얻는 것으로 하여금 고객 만족도를 높이는 것을 딜러에게 요청하고 있다. 그렇기 때문에, 당사의 딜러에게 장기적인 시점으로 사업을 계속할 수 있는 자금력이 필요로 하지만, 이러한 딜러가 한정적인 점과 메이커와 딜러 사이의 이익 배분이 어려운 점이 지적된다.

  • The Toyota Production System (TPS) developed by Toyota Motor Corporation is a management principle and production method to improve values added thorough elimination of waste. Since the oil shock in 1970s, the TPS has drawn the worldwide attentions as a main factor of competitiveness of Japanese manufacturing system and has been studied and implemented in many countries regardless of size and types of industry. While the principles of the TPS system are known widely, the framework and the implementation methodology are rarely discussed, especially in the domestic companies. In this paper, the framework of the TPS system are developed as a view of the domestic practitioners and researchers, with which the introduction strategy can be developed as a guideline.

TPS에 의한 가전제품의 생산라인 자동화 구축 (Study on Automatic Production Line for Home Appliance Goods Based on Toyota Production System)

  • The Toyota production system (TPS) developed by Toyota corporation is a management principle and production model to improve values added through elimination of waste. Since the oil shock in 1970s, the TPS has drawn the worldwide attentions as a main factor of competitiveness of Japanese manufacturing system and has been studied and implemented in many countries regardless of size and types of industry. For the correspondence to various customer's requirement, it is required to establish on time delivery procedure and to shorten lead time. Therefore it intended to establish TPS which is adopted to 7 losses reduction and JIT(Just in Time). In this paper, the automatic production line for color TV manufacturing by TPS was developed and proved to push up two times of productivity, to reduce the 25 workers at a time, and to widen the flexibility of manufacturing from 14" to 25" TV.

  • Dramatic increase of social concerns on the environments has led companies to take into account environmental issues in strategic decision-making. The strategic consideration on environmental management is essential to the modern companies. This study was initiated with a research purpose to explain the level and the characteristics of corporate environmental strategy through comparing the Hyundai, GM and Toyota Motor Company. The research method adopted by this research is a case analysis. The degree of environmental management strategy was evaluated in functional sectors or value chain including the production, research and development, procurement, logistic and recycling etc. Consequently, this study could find that Toyota is the most advanced company in the level of environmental management strategy. Also there are many differences among three companies in the level and degree of environmental management strategy. Hyundai and GM did not consider environmental management in foreign subsidiaries as much as Toyota. Motor Company. Also the study find out there are actual gaps between the rhetoric and reality in environmental management strategy in Hyundai Motor Co. All companies included in this study consider importantly ISO14001 as the tool to maintain the environmental management of their companies.

  • Toyota Production System (TPS) has been known a new production paradigm applicable to every type of manufacturing industry, not restricted to automobile assembly system. The basic framework of TPS has been studied and presented actively; many enterprises from all over the world including some of large domestic companies, have adopted and applied. This study analyzed the cases for TPS introduction and application process of LG Electronics and SAMSUNG Electronics, Semiconductor Division. On a different areas of business items, different strategic approaches are developed and implemented on a two comparable domestic companies. Key success factors for two companies are analysed, and some issues are also discussed.

AN IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION OF RANDOMIZED-ANN SIMULATOR USING A PC CLUSTER

  • We propose a PC cluster using general-purpose microprocessors and a high-speed network for simulating ANN (Artificial Neural Network) processes on Linux OS. We apply this cluster to intelligent information processing such as ANN simulation. The elapsed time for simulating ANNs can be reduced from 7,295 seconds by a PE (Processing Element) to 1,226 seconds by six PEs. The reliability of a pattern-classification using ANNs can be improved by the proposed ANN, Randomized-ANN. In order to generate a Randomized-ANN, we choose three ANNs and combine the output results from three huts by means of logical AND. Results are as follows: The mean correct answer rate is 94.4%, the mean wrong answer rate is only 0.1 %, and the mean unknown answer rate is 5.5 %. We make sure that Randomized-ANN approach reduces the mean wrong answer rate within a tenth part and improves the reliability of Japanese coin classification.

  • Conducting polymers (e.g. poly[2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4-phenylen vinylene] (MEH-PPV)) confined in one-dimensional nanoscale channels of mesoporous materials, are expected to lead the novel applications for electroconductive and optoelectronic devices. We investigated the adsorption behavior of MEH-PPV on organically surface-modified mesoporous silica (FSM-16) and mesoporous organosilica. The amount of the confined MEH-PPV was found to strongly depend on the surface modifications of the mesoporous materials. The optical absorption edge of the confined MHE-PPV was clearly blue-shifted when compared to that of a free MHE-PPV.

Attitude Control of Planar Space Robot based on Self-Organizing Data Mining Algorithm

  • This paper presents a new method for the attitude control of planar space robots. In order to control highly constrained non-linear system such as a 3D space robot, the analytical formulation for the system with complex dynamics and effective control methodology based on the formulation, are not always obtainable. In the proposed method, correspondingly, a non-analytical but effective self-organizing modeling method for controlling a highly constrained system is proposed based on a polynomial data mining algorithm. In order to control the attitude of a planar space robot, it is well known to require inputs characterized by a special pattern in time series with a non-deterministic length. In order to correspond to this type of control paradigm, we adopt the Model Predictive Control (MPC) scheme where the length of the non-deterministic horizon is determined based on implementation cost and control performance. The optimal solution to finding the size of the input pattern is found by a solving two-stage programming problem.
