With the development of the information and communication technology, tourism items or products based on new technology is created or developed for tourists. This study examines tourist's satisfaction about VR program, "Secret Wind Forest", which is the story of Gotjawal, one of famous Jeju eco-tourism attraction. In order to achieve the study goal, it identified a study model from the previous studies. It collected data using survey from visitors who used VR program. The total of 227 questionnaires was utilized for data analysis. Based on the study model, it accepted five hypotheses (H1~H5), which are as follows. Firstly, individual innovativeness has a significant effect on perceived usefulness. Secondly, individual innovativeness influenced perceived usefulness, and perceived usefulness and ease influenced usage satisfaction. These results have both theoretical and practical contribution in terms of the development to tourist products using VR program. Academics can provide basic theories such as tourism activities, behaviors, and attitudes to tourism consumer-related studies on VR tourism program in terms of content application. Practically, it can help tourist marketers who want to use VR tourism program and content developers who use VR devices to construct VR program stories using tourism resources and to plan and execute contents considering the target market.
Recently, increasing interests in local foods have been highlighted along with active efforts and activities from autonomy organizations to develop local cultures and promote local economies by generating value added products and profits through the development of local foods. Subsequently, useful effects might result by making local foods attractive to tourists, such as by using indigenous Gimpo products to make menu items that incorporate the social, economic, and cultural aspects of the Gimpo area, and contributing to its food culture, the development and use of its indigenous products, and promoting local restaurant businesses, etc. The items of the survey used to select the local food menu items to be developed were limited to ideas offered by expert groups, and were implemented by a new menu development process. In order to derive the menu items to develop, the following method was applied: a brainstorming session with experts to generate and draft ideas, a questionnaire to chefs and cooks in special grade hotels is Seoul to select the menu items to develop from those drafted, and sensory evaluations by experts to evaluate the developed items. Frequency analysis and technical statistical analysis were performed using the SPSS 12.0 program package, where 13 kinds of local foods were ultimately developed using indigenous products of Gimpo. The developed local food menu items were rice & grape sujaebi, grape sikhae, fried rice embryo bud, grape yanggaeng, rice pancakes, rice spaghetti, grape seed oil dressing, grape sauce, rice pizza, grape pie, rice & grape ice cream, grape chocolate, and rice roll cakes.
The purpose of this study was to categorize and comparatively analyze tourists of different life-style groups who visit Yesan according to their lifestyles as well as their consumption behaviors and attitudes towards local foods or specialty agricultural products in order to understand the various needs, attitudes, and behaviors of consumers in each life-style group. Group 1 had a high percentage of single people in their 20s and those who worked in technology. Group 2 had a high percentage of those in their 30s and 40s who were married and were professionals. Group 3 had a high percentage of men and those in their 40s and 50s, as well as a high percentage of high income, highly educated people. Group 4 had a high percentage of those in their 20s or those in their 60s or higher. Compared to other groups, group 4 had a larger percentage of lower income and less educated people. In verifying the difference between life-style groups in terms of their behaviors and attitudes toward local foods and specialty agricultural products, consumption and experience of regional specialty foods showed high average scores in groups 1, 2, and 3, with significant differences from group 4.

The findings are summarized as follows: The most common place for buying agricultural products was 'hypermarkets' (41.7%), and the most important factor for purchasing local food was 'local government's certification products' (23.7%). The most important value recognition item for local food was 'I think that local food is a high-quality agricultural products'. (3.74 points), followed by 'I think that local food have a value of respect for customers' (3.61 points) and 'I have a faith for the local food'. (3.61 points) in that order. The main tourism experience activity was 'food experience' (49.0%), and information source of local food experience tourism was 'mass media (TV, newspapers, etc.)' (37.3%). Rural tourism has been identified as providing opportunities to revitalize the rural economies since early 2000s. During last decade in South Korea, government has enacted many policies aiming to establish tourism support programs as well as instigating activities between rural and nearby urban districts. In particular, the promotion of the rural tourism has been actively sought in various forms of products and services, such as green tourism village, village festival, one-company one-village campaign and etc. However, in order to prepare effective policies, it is very crucial to identify measureable evaluation criteria that can be used to assess socio-economic situations of the rural districts. Such criteria should be objective, timely and provide insights about living conditions of local residents and relevant properties. They can also be used to evaluate if progress is being made after the policies are implemented. While considerable efforts and resources have been invested to aid the tourism programs in South Korea, we still lack such systematic means to quantify and evaluate its impact on rural districts. In this work, we have applied regional deprivation analysis on well-established community experiential and recreational business in rural villages throughout the country based on three criteria (i.e., population, local commerce, and buildings). Surprisingly, the result shows that the implementation of the community experiential and recreational businesses did not bring any noticeable changes to at least one of the evaluation criteria. We concluded that the current government policies on revitalization of rural tourism at the village scale is insufficient for bringing meaningful socio-economic impacts to rural districts, with rare exceptions.

For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Cronbach's α, factor analysis, and regression analysis were performed. The results of this study were as follows. First, four handkerchief designs were developed as cultural fashion products, based on the results of a preliminary investigation of consumer behaviors toward cultural fashion products and thier preference of Backje relics. Second, three factors (attractiveness, uniqueness, and gentleness) emerged for images of cultural fashion products. The objective of this study is to investigate the attributes of purchasing soybean paste and calculate the priorities among the attributes focusing on traditional soybean paste in the Jeju region. To achieve this goal, the priorities was analyzed through a survey for restaurants and housewives with AHP methodology. The result showed that soybean paste made in B company was most preferred among domestic products, followed by one made in A company and traditional Jeju soybean paste. As a result of the sensitivity analysis, traditional Jeju soybean paste is considered to have a high market share if its price can be lower.
Inter-Korean cooperative tourism business has turned mutual confrontation and tension between two Koreas for the past 50 years to a peace, stability, mutual understanding and co-prosperity. The purpose of the study is to determine how consumers perceive certification marks for agricultural products. The study examined three agricultural product certifications, such as the certification of environment-friendly agricultural products, Good Agricultural Procuts (GAP) certification mark, and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) certification mark. A survey was utilized for data collection from adults over the age of 19 in November, 2013. A total of 390 questionnaires were distributed, and 300 of those were obtained for an analysis of the study. The results were as follows. First, consumers' awareness of, image of, and credibility on the agricultural products with the certification marks were not significantly different among the three certification marks except consumers' awareness. Second, consumers' purchase intentions for and willingness to pay for the agricultural products with the certification marks were not significantly different among the three certification marks. Third, these variables were not significantly different between buying group and non-buying group except consumers' awareness. Lastly, buying group and non-buying group were significantly different only in gender and marital status. The findings offer implications to the food and food service industry regarding consumers' purchase of certified agricultural products. Further, the study enforces the roles of food industry for environment.
Kangwondo has been focused on tourism resource cultivation using beautiful scenery, because it was difficult to develop large scaled industrial complex by reason of human geography. In addition, after the implementation of local autonomy system, Kangwondo has been promoting various programs for local development using tourism resource which is the more dominate than any other province. This study will present the right way of tourism craftwork development which represents the regional emotion and character as a part of tourism and local policy of Kangwondo. I have recognized the problems of the craftwork such as design, products and companies, and tried to find related agency, support policy and its promoting programs to solve them.
