데이터 방송을 위한 스토리지 매니저 (Storage Manager for Data Broadcast)

  • 아날로그 방송에서 디지털 방송으로 변화되면서 다양한 서비스를 사용자에게 제공하려는 데이터들을 송수신하기 위한 방송 환경이 다양하게 연구 되고 있다. 실시간 방송 환경에서 전달된 데이터는 수신기의 저장장치에 임시적으로 저장되고, 사용자는 그 데이터를 사용 할 수 있게 된다. 실시간 방송 환경에서는 데이터의 일부분이 지속적으로 들어오는 스트리밍 형태로 전송되는데, 이와 같은 실시간 방송 환경에서는 기존의 파일 시스템과 다르게 데이터 처리를 고려할 필요가 있다. 본 논문은 실시간 방송 환경에서 전달된 데이터를 신뢰성을 보장하고, 유연성을 제공 할 수 있는 스토리지 매니저를 제안한다.

전문경영인의 지분율과 소유구조상의 특성이 상근감사의 독립성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (Antecedents of the Independence of Standing Auditor: An Empirical Analysis in the Perspective of Ownership Structure)

  • 감사기구는 조직 내에서 감시와 통제 활동을 통해 전문경영인의 기회주의적인 의사결정과 행위를 줄여 주는 기능을 수행하는 내부통제 메커니즘으로서의 높은 독립성이 요구된다. 본 연구는 기업의 소유구조 상의 특성들이 상근감사의 독립성에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 주된 목적을 두고 실행되었다. 그리고 이 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여 상근감사의 독립성을 전문경영인과의 학연과 출신기업을 기준으로 산출한 후 전문경영인의 지분율이 독립적인 상근감사의 선임에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 내부대주주인 특수관계인과 외부대주주인 기관투자자 및 외국인투자자의 지분율이 이 같은 관계에 미치는 조절효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따르면 전문경영인의 지분율과 상근감사의 독립성은 부(-)의 관계가 있으며, 특수관계인의 지분율은 이 같은 관계를 정(+)의 방향으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났으나, 외국인투자자와 기관투자자 지분율의 조절효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이러한 연구 결과는 전문경영인은 자신의 지분율이 높아 질수록 강화된 권한을 활용하여 독립성이 낮은 상근감사를 선임하려고 시도하는 반면, 특수관계인들은 자신들의 부를 보호하는데 도움이 되는 독립성이 높은 상근감사를 선임하고자 한다는 사실을 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 기업의 소유구조 상의 특성들이 독립적인 상근감사의 선임에 미치는 영향을 분석한 첫 번째 연구로서, 분석결과는 전문경영인과 소유구조 상의 특성에 따른 상근감사 선임기준에 대한 실무적 가이드라인을 제공하고 있다.

지식 경영 활동의 혁신 역량으로의 연계 : IT 서비스 산업 중심으로 (Linking Knowledge Management Activities to Innovation Capability : Focused on IT Service Industry)

  • Given the large investment and prevalence of knowledge management (KM) in organizations, it has become important to analyze the effects of KM activities on organizational performances. A theoretical framework is proposed to investigate the impact of KM activities on innovation capabilities in the IT service industry. This study considers KM activities as the major determinant that enhances absorptive capacity. KM activities enhance employees'ability to obtain external knowledge, resulting in increasing intellectual capital. Thus, this study proposes that absorptive capacity plays a mediating role between KM activities and innovation capability. Additionally, this study investigates the key antecedents of KM activities that promote employees' knowledge sharing. Based on prior studies on KM, this study posits KM team activities and top manager support as KM activities. The proposed research model was tested by using survey data collected from 556 employees in the IT service industry. PLS (partial least squares) was employed for the analysis of the data. The findings of this study showed that KM activities and absorptive capabilities play a significant role in enhancing service innovation and process innovation in the IT service industry. The results also shed light on the mediating role of absorptive capacity between KM activities and innovation capability. Moreover, both KM team activities and top manager support serve as the salient antecedents of promoting employees' knowledge sharing.

OIQ와 CIO의 경영자 역할이 정보시스템의 전략적 활용에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Organizational Intelligence Quotient and CIO's Management Roles on Strategic Application of Information Systems)

  • This study examined the relationship among constructs that impact on strategic use of IS(Information Systems). Independent variables were OIQ(Organizational Intelligence Quotient) and role of CIO(Chief of Information Officer) as a top manager, and dependent variable are strategic use of IS. The dependent variable has three-sub constructs: 1) IT infrastructure flexibility; 2) operation-orientation; and 3) market-orientation. Seven research hypotheses derived from the research model, and were empirically tested using the PLS (Partial Least Squares) method. The research results confirmed that both OIQ and CIO's roles have strong impact on organizations' strategic use of IS. Communication and business network among the sub-constructs of OIQ have effect on strategic use of IS. CIO's role as a top manager was found to be significant. CIO's role as a resource allocator and innovator among the CIO's roles showed significant influence on strategic use of IS. OIQ was also significantly related to CIO's role as a top manager. This study suggests practical implications and insights to the enterprises which aim to apply IT strategically.

간호관리자 역할의 성공적 수행을 위한 연구 (Nursing Managemant, Strategies for its success)

  • In the past, management had been done over nurses rather than nursing and this brought the existence of general manager and as a result, nurse-manager's position and role are being threatend. For the up-bringing of nursing to firm professional recognition in the 21st century, it is firmly believed that nursing managers are to be in the position to play the role of general manager with professional qualifications; personal qualities and exact understandings on the role and function of each tier group under her/his management. 124 top(3 nursing superintendents), middle-range(23 supervisors) and unit managers(98 head-nurses) from 3 university hospitals in Seoul were interviewed in order to investigate their belief in the role, professional qualifications, personal qualities as well as the strategy for the development of their leadership qualities. The frame of reference for the interview were developed by the researcher in reference to relevant literatures. It was the common belief that qualifications o[ top-managers and mid-managers require an educational background of master's preparation or higher and clinical career for at least 15 years for top-managers and 5 -10 years for mid-managers. The personal qualities required by nurse managers include; leadership, initiative, judgement, self-confidence, flexibility, open-mindedness and strong motivation. Achievment-orientedness would greatly help them become excellent managers. On the other hand, [or more effective management, managers of each teir group are to fully understand their role and perform "their job responsibilities ie. Top managers are supposed to study with emphasis on organization, function and conceptual s~ill while mid-managers concentrate their effort on the development of skills for direction, guidance and human relationship. Unit managers also supposed to have abilities to manage their function with emphasis on development of clinical performance skill, for direction on operative aspects. The strategies for the development of leadership qualities include program-planning at individual instutional level as well as local, national and international level. Nurse-managers are to be motivated and encouraged to participate in the programs in order to effectively communicate within tier groups.oups.

도료산업의 자육안전관리를 위한 HPMA 시스템 개발 (Development of HPMA System for the Voluntary Safety Management of the Paint Industry)

  • We developed a HPMA Information System to establish the voluntary safety management for the Paint Industry. HPMA System means that manager, supervisor and worker on the process-line find out the hazardous and/or unsafe potentials, make improvement of the field safety by the cooperation with top manager, safety staff and eventually put in the practice. HPMA Information System consists of functions to suggest and evaluate the safety concerns hierarchically from top manager to workers on internet or intranet. We establish the safety management and sharing of the safety information and are able to find the unsafe potentials by the HPMA Information System. Also We are able to mine new safety information and establish accident prevention model by the Safety DATABASE.

최고경영자의 인구통계적 특성, 조직특성과 전략유형의 관련성 (An Empirical Study on the Relationships among Manager's Demographic Characteristics, Organizational Characteristics and Strategic Type)

  • According to the structural contingency theories, organizational structures are determined by such a contingency variables as organizational environment, technology, size, power and strategy. Therefore, many scholor believed that organizational effectiveness will be maximized in the condition of the fit between organizational structure and its contingency variables. But contingency theories have limitations in explaining of the manager's discretion by way of environmental determinism. In 1972, Child introduced strategic choice theory, and this perspective spurred significant, systematic studies of the influence of the managerial voluntary will on the organizational performance. Especially, the question of whether tap managers have an impact on business performance has been addressed by the strategic leadership theory that demonstrates strong associations between the characteristics of top managers, strategic orientation. Therefore, this study has investigated a theoretical literature and an empirical survey that explains the impact of top manger characteristics and organizational characteristics about strategic orientation. In order tn do that, this study develops a research model on the subjects, designed manager's characteristics, strategic typology. Managerial characteristics could be operationalized in terms of demographic measures. In this study, strategic orientation was classified using the Miles & Snow typology. This research model provides hypotheses. Hypotheses H1: The demographic characteristics of the tap manager will differ according to the types of strategic types. H2: The organizational characteristics of the firm will differ according to the types of strategic types. To test these hypotheses, this study conducted questionaire surveys on 108 firms in the Korea national wide. This study has utilized ANOVA, Chi-square analysis, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis for testing the hypotheses. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows. First, this study builds on the central tenent of cotingency theory in provide a comprehensive explanation of the process by which top manager's influence. Second, Manager's characteristics(demographics) are different from each other according to 4 strategic types(Prospector, Defender, Analyzer, Reactor). Third, Organizational characteristics are different from each other according to 4 strategic types. In conclusion, the major contributions of this study are to examine the development of a more comprehensive theoretical framework in the strategic leadership theory and to analyze their contingent relationships among managerial characteristics, organizational characteristics and strategic types in the context of Korea's industry.

작업관리자의 최적 수행도 평가 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimal Performance Evaluation Analysis of Work Manager)

  • In order to apply job performance records to the master craftsman examination, which is an examination to screen the top-rated technician and task manager, the domestic industry has introduced job performance records to the written test of the master craftsman examination. Surveys on master craftsman's field capabilities and applicability are being conducted, and various qualification methods are being tested so as to give satisfaction to consumers in industrial fields. However, these methods have many problems in assessing task managers' qualifications. In order to solve these problems, this research intends to verify the appropriateness of introducing master craftsman's portfolios assessment and the suitability of application methods by conducting interviews and surveys. One big conglomerate and one mid-sized company that has more than 500 employees and covers from 주조(酒造:brewing) 또는 to providing various services to consumers were selected for this research.

  • 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력은 조직의 운영에 영향을 미치는 것으로, 관리자가 어떠한 커뮤니케이션 능력을 보이느냐에 따라 조직의 구성원들을 독려하거나 조직을 운영하는 방식이 달라질 수 있기 때문에 중요한 의미를 가지게 된다. 이에 본 연구는 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력이 직원의 직무성과와 역할갈등에 미치는 영향에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위하여 경영조직으로서의 도서관과 커뮤니케이션에 관한 개념적 배경을 바탕으로, 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력, 직무성과 그리고 역할갈등에 대한 이론적 근거를 마련하였다. 그리고 본 연구는 설문조사법을 이용하여 서울시에 소재한 8개 공공도서관에 근무하는 사서 127명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 조사된 설문내용은 SPSS 20 통계패키지를 이용한 통계분석으로 처리하여 각 변인간의 관계를 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력이 직원의 직무성과와 역할갈등에 미치는 영향에 대한 토론을 전개하였다.

병원경영자의 직위에 따른 관리자의 역할 인식도 (Weight of Role according to Job Position for Hospital Managers)

  • 본 연구는 목적은 변화하고 있는 병원관리자의 역할비중을 분석하여 병원의 내 외부환경에 효과적으로 대응하는데 도움을 주고자 시도하였다. 이 조사는 부산, 울산 그리고 경상남도지역의 병원급 이상 의료기관에 종사하고 있는 최고관리자와 행정 관리자를 2007년 11월 20일부터 2008년 02월 29일까지 설문조사하여 191명을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 최고관리자는 현재 가장 중요하다고 인식하는 관리자역할은 지도자역할이고 향후에 중요하다고 여기는 역할은 기업가역할이지만 실제 수행하고 있는 관리자역할은 대표자역할이었다. 경쟁이 날로 격심해지는 현재의 의료환경을 이겨내기 위해 경쟁력 강화와 조직성장 등의 심경이 미래에는 기업가역할이 더욱 더 중요해 질 것이라고 예측하고 있는 것으로 생각된다. 행정 관리자는 현재인식과 향후 생각하는 중요도, 그리고 실제수행하고 있는 관리자역할 모두가 지도자 역할이 가장 높았다. 이들은 여러 직위의 사람이 모여 있는 병원조직의 특성상 팀웍과 질서, 조직의 목표 전략 정보교환 등이 가장 중요하다 생각하고 있는 것으로 생각된다.
