국민건강보험공단에서 제공하는 표본코호트DB는 보건의료계뿐만 아니라 통계학 연구를 위한 중요한 자원이다. 일반적으로 이들 자료에서 연구에 필요한 정보를 얻기 위하여 관련 사례들을 추출하는 과정에는 많은 시간과 노력이 들게 된다. 본 논문에서는 표본코호트DB를 이용하고자 할 때 사례 추출과정에 도움을 주는 데이터베이스 시스템인 National Health Insurance Service Cohort DB Extract Tool(NICE Tool)을 소개한다. SAS의 DATA 명령문이나 SQL문에 익숙하지 않은 연구자들도 쉽게 마우스 클릭만으로 DB에서 필요한 변수들과 조건에 맞는 사례들을 추출할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 이 시스템을 활용하면 빠른 사례추출이 가능하여 표본코호트DB를 사용한 연구들이 더욱 활성화되리라 판단된다.

Since information systems have been treated as a management tool, a model is required to express and analyze and organizational point of view. Futher, a systematic methodology is required to analyze and diagnose organizational processes to improve them. To improve existing organizational processes, it is needed to describe all the processes performed in each department and their relationships to staffs, resources, and other processes of the organization. However, because of the complexity and unstructureness of the processes, this task is very difficult. We proposed an organizational process model which expresses organizational information on processes, departments, staffs, and resources. Based on this model, we have developed a management information database and a computerized tool which help analyze and diagnose organizational processes. The organizational process model, management information database, the automated tool may be used for BR(Business Re-engineering).

In this paper, we developed an expert system that helped a machine-tool designer to select a moderate servomotor of the feed drive unit of a machine tool. With the specification of the drive unit, it searches for the set of servo-motors that have enough torque and power to satisfy the driving condition which the designer defines from the database. me database also contains knowledge and rules, which describe the design process and calculate design parameters of a feed drive. The knowledge-based design support module shows every steps of inference and reason for the solution that it provides.

Pattern finding is one of the important tasks in a protein or DNA sequence analysis. Alignment is the widely used technique for finding patterns in sequence analysis. BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool) is one of the most popularly used tools in bio-informatics to explore available DNA or protein sequence databases. BLAST may generate a huge output for a large sequence data that contains various sequence patterns. However, BLAST does not provide a tool to summarize and analyze the patterns or matched alignments in the BLAST output file. BLAST lacks of general and robust parsing tools to extract the essential information out from its output. This paper presents a pattern summary system which is a powerful and comprehensive tool for discovering pattern structures in huge amount of sequence data in the BLAST. The pattern summary system can identify clusters of patterns, extract the cluster pattern sequences from the subject database of BLAST, and display the clusters graphically to show the distribution of clusters in the subject database.

Based on the minimum cutting time criteria, the tool path generation algorithm of a pocket machining is developed as a form of a built-in cycle for the WOP(workshop oriented programming) of a CNC controller. Based on the given CAD database and tool information, an optimal cutting depth and geometric properties can be generated, then six different tool paths will be generated internally and automatically. Finally, the G code which commands tool movements is generated for CNC machining.

The purpose of this study is to establish 3D equipment database for BIM because of efficient using a BIM tool. In this study (or paper), we analysis the mechanism of using equipment database. And then, a based on this results we apply and conduct the results. Therefore we expect to make better using method of BIM and efficient planning method of equipment.

Query language has been widely used as a convenient tool to obtain information from a database. However, users demand more intelligent query processing systems that can understand the intent of an imprecise query and provide additional useful information as well as exact answers. This paper introduces a meta-database and presents a query processing mechanism that supports a variety of intelligent queries in a consistent and integrated way. The meta-database extracts data abstraction knowledge form an underlying database on the basis of a multilevel knowledge representation framework KAH. In cooperation with the underlying database, the meta-database supports four types of intelligent queries that provide approximately or conceptually equal answers as well as exact ones.

The purpose of this study is to develop a central database and a database management system to store and manage information systematically from each module of an integrated structural design system. In order to efficiently express structural design process related to the data which is very complex, we used an object-oriented modeling methodology to propose the possibility to apply a database schema for application programs in an integrated system for reinforced concrete structural design. Based on this model, we developed an interface between each module and central database. After modeled by using object modeling technique, the database was mapped by the relational database table. Then the central database and the interface were programed by using Visual C/syo ++/, a windows environmental development tool.

국내의 정보서비스 업체나 기관들은 세계적인 과학기술정보의 최신 동향과 연구 정보를 제공하기 위해 해외에서 발행된 데이터베이스를 도입, 구축한 정보를 서비스로 제공하고 있다. 여러 데이터베이스 중에서 FSTA(Food Science and Technology Abstracts)는 전 세계의 식품과학, 식품공학, 식품기술 및 음식과 관련된 식품 영양학에 관한 광범위한 초록 정보를 제공하는 데이터베이스이다. 식품과학에 관련된 정보를 유일하게 제공하는 FSTA 데이터베이스를 한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)에서 개발한 정보검색관리 시스템인 KRISTAL를 기반으로 데이터베이스를 구축하여 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 데이터베이스 도입, 구축, 검색, 수정, 재구축, 통계 등의 여러 과정이 필요하다. 본 논문은 국내 이용자들에게 FSTA 데이터베이스의 정보를 서비스하기 위해 FSTA 데이터베이스를 입수하는 단계부터 KRISTAL 정보검색관리 시스템에 구축하는 단계까지의 과정을 체계적으로 구축하여 효율적으로 관리할 수 있도록 하는 시스템을 구현하는데 있다. 보다 빠르고 정확한 FSTA 데이터베이스 구축을 통해 사용자들은 최신의 FSTA 데이터베이스를 검색하여 원하는 정보를 얻을 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 객체 기술과 복잡한 구조적 데이터와 관련된 데이터베이스 구조를 효율적으로 표현하기 위한 통합 데이타 모델(UDM)이라고 하는 개념 데이터 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델은 E-R 모델, 의미 객체 모델, UML 등의 데이타 모델의 주요 기능을 데이타베이스 설계 관점에서 통합한 것이다. 이 모델은 시공간 멀티미디어 데이타의 복잡한 구조를 모델링하기 위해 제안된 객체-관계 모델을 단순화시키고 일부 기능을 확장시킨 버전이다. 이 모델은 현대적인 데이터베이스 응용의 주요한 의미적, 구조적인 정보의 표현을 지원하며, 관계, 객체-관계, 객체-지향, (반-)구조 데이터베이스 등 주요 논리적 데이터베이스 모델을 지원하도록 고안되었다. 데이터베이스 설계를 위한 도구로 통합 데이타 다이아그램(UDD)을 제안하며, 이 통합 데이타 모델로부터 논리적 뷰를 유도하기 위한 방법도 제안한다. 제안된 모델은 다양한 개념적 데이터베이스 설계를 위한 편리하고 실용적인 도구로 활용될 수 있다.
