비구조화 불확실성을 갖는 양의 시변 이산 구간 시스템의 안정 조건 (Stability Conditions for Positive Time-Varying Discrete Interval System with Unstructured Uncertainty)

  • 음이 아닌 입력에 대하여 음이 아닌 초기상태에서 출발한 모든 상태변수 값들이 시간에 대하여 항상 음이 아닌 값을 유지하는 시스템은 양의 시스템으로 정의된다. 본 논문에서는 상태변수에 시변 지연시간과 비구조화된 불확실성이 함께 존재하는 양의 시변 선형 이산 구간 시스템의 안정조건을 새롭게 제안한다. 시변 지연시간은 변동가능한 최소와 최대 지연시간 범위 내에서 변하는 것으로 고려되며, 불확실성은 비선형성을 포함하여 그 최대 크기만을 알 수 있는 것으로 고려한다. 제안된 안정조건은 이전의 결과들이 시불변시스템에만 적용되었거나 불확실성에 대한 고려가 없었던 것을 개선한 것으로 매우 간단한 부등식의 형태로 표현된다. 안정조건은 리아프노프 안정이론을 이용하여 유도되며, 리아프노프 방정식의 상한 해 한계(upper solution bound)를 이용한 기존 결과에 비하여 많은 장점을 갖는다. 제안된 안정조건은 기존의 결과들을 포함하는 효과적인 것으로 수치예제를 통하여 이를 검증한다.

Design of Robust $H_\infty$ Control for Interconnected Systems: A Homotopy Method

  • This paper considers a robust decentralized $H_\infty$ control problem for uncertain large-scale interconnected systems. The uncertainties are assumed to be time-invariant, norm-bounded, and exist in subsystems. A design method based on the bounded real lemma is developed for a dynamic output feedback controller, which is reduced to a feasibility problem for a nonlinear matrix inequality (NMI). It is proposed to solve the NMI iteratively by the idea of homotopy, where some of the variables are fixed alternately on each iteration to reduce the NMI to a linear matrix inequality (LMI). A decentralized controller for the nominal system is computed first by imposing structural constraints on the coefficient matrices gradually. Then, the decentralized controller is modified again gradually to cope with the uncertainties. A given example shows the efficiency of this method.

이산 선형 시불변시스템에 대한 병렬칼만필터 (A Parallel Kalman Filter for Discrete Linear Time-invariant System)

  • A parallel processing algorithm for discrete Kalman filter, which is one of the most commonly used filtering technique in modern control, signal processing, and communication, is proposed. Previously proposed parallel algorithms to decrease the number of computations needed in the Kalman filter are the hierachical structures by distributed processing of measurements, or the systolic structures to disperse the computational burden. In this paper, a new parallel Kalman filter employing a structure similar to recursive doubling is proposed. Estimated values of state variables by the new algorithm converge with two times faster data processing speed than that of the conventional Kalman filter. Moreover it maintains the optimality of the conventional Kalman filter.

  • In this note, we consider a robust linear shift-invariant feedback compensator design for discrete-time multivariable systems which have both matched and mismatched uncertainties. In order to attack the problem of designing robust compensators guaranteeing uniform ultimate boundedness of every closed-loop system response within a neighborhood of the zero state based solely on the knowledge of the upper norm-bounds of uncertainties, we use an approach which is effective on studying augmented feedback control systems with both mismatched and matched uncertainties. We draw some robust stability conditions using the approach and give an example.

  • This paper presents robustness properties of the Kalman Filter ad the associated LQG/LTR method for linear time-invariant systems having delays in both the state and output. A circle condition relating to the return difference matrix associated with the Kalman filter is derived. Using this circle condition, it is shown that the Kalman filter guarantees(1/2, .inf.) gain margin and .+-.60.deg. phase margin, which are the same as those for nondelay systems. However, it is shown that, even for minimum phase plants, the LQG/LTR method can not recover the target loop transfer function. Instead, an upper bound on the recovery error is obtained using an upper bound of the solution of the Kalman filter Riccati equations. Finally, some dual properties between output-delated system and input-delayed systems are exploited.

  • Mixed H$_{2}$/H$_{\infty}$ robust control synthesis is considered for finite dimensional linear time-invariant systems under the presence of diagonal structured uncertainties. Such uncertainties arise for instance when there is real perturbation in the nominal model of the state space system or when modeling multiple (unstructured) uncertainty at different locations in the feedback loop. This synthesis problem is reduced to convex optimization problem over a bounded subset of matrices as well as diagonal matrix having certain structure. For computational purpose, this convex optimization problem is further reduced into Generalized Eigenvalue Minimization Problem where a powerful algorithm based on interior point method has been recently developed..

  • This note presents a direct adaptive pole assignment control for general discrete, linear, time-invariant, nonmimum phase system.Controller parameters are estimated from the recursive least-squares algorithm, and some additional auxiliary parameters are obtained from aset of recursive equations based on a certain polynomial identity which is derived from the pole assignment equation and the Bezout identity. This scheme increase the numerical stability of the auxiliary parameters, and guarantees local convergence without any extra conditions for the external input. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated by the computer simulation.

  • This paper deals with a novel approach to unknown inputs observer(UIO) design for linear time-invariant dynamical systems using a fast Walsh transform and Walsh function's differential operation. Generally, UIO has a derivation of system outputs which is not available from the measurement directly. And it is an obstacle to estimate the unknown inputs properly when unexpected measurement noises are presented. Therefore, this paper propose an algebraic approach to eliminate such problems by using a Walsh function's differential operation.

  • This article studies asymptotic stability of non-auto nomous linear systems with time-dependent coefficient matrices {A(t)}t∈ℝ. The classical theorem of Levinson has been widely used to science and engineering non-autonomous systems, but systems with defective eigenvalues could not be covered because such a family does not allow continuous diagonalization. We study systems where the family allows to have upper triangulation and to have defective eigenvalues. In addition to the wider applicability, working with upper triangular matrices in place of Jordan form matrices offers more flexibility. We interpret our and earlier works including Levinson's theorem from the perspective of invariant manifold theory.
