  • This article considers the mean time to failure(MTTF) of a dependent parallel system. We study how the degree of dependency components influences the increase in the mean lifetime for this system. The results are illustrated by tables and figures.

  • This study investigated the deterioration phenomena of the Polyethylene surface contaminated with organic(Saccharose) or inorganic(NaCl) matters through electrical and optical experiments. And also these experimental results relatively well coincided with which was treated by theoretical process. On the electrical experiment, relation between electric field intensity in corona discharge and time reached to the breakdown, and relation between total amount of charges discharged and increment of applied voltage were investigated. On the optical experiment, discharge time dependence of surface deterioration rate and process of surface deterioration in the X-ray diffraction pattern were investigated. It was concluded that chemical effects by the corona discharge deteriorated insulation characteristics of Polyethylene surface.

  • Rate equations are exactly solved for the reversible consecutive reaction of the first-order and the time-dependence of concentrations is analytically determined for species in the reaction. With the assumption of pseudo first-order reaction, the calculation applies and determines the concentration of product accurately and explicitly as a function of time in the unimolecular decomposition of Lindemann and in the enzyme catalysis of Michaelis-Menten whose rate laws have been approximated in terms of reactant concentrations by the steady-state approximation.

  • Beef quality indicators of off-flavor development during storage were investigated in terms of temperature dependence. The off-flavor development time (ODT) was detected using the R-index sensory test. During varying storage conditions at $25^{\circ}C$, $15^{\circ}C$, and $5^{\circ}C$, elements of beef quality were measured, such as volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), pH, color (CIE $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$), Warner-Bratzler shear force (WBSF), Pseudomonas spp. CFU, and lactic acid bacteria (LAB) CFU. A model with temperature dependence of ODT during storage was developed using Arrhenius-like equation, and a requirement with quality indicators was mathematically derived, resulting in similar temperature dependence. The temperature dependence of beef quality indicators was represented by the Arrhenius activation energy (Ea). Upon comparing the Ea of beef quality indicators and ODT, the temperature dependence similarity was found to be higher in the order of three groups: VBN, pH, $a^*$ value; LAB, Pseudomonas spp.; and WBSF, $L^*$ value, $b^*$ value. Therefore, VBN were determined as the most effective indicator of beef quality during off-flavor development.

  • This study aims to investigate the factors that may influence mobile dependence among school-aged children (7-9 years old), a growing social issue. Understanding the causes of mobile dependence is crucial as it can significantly impact school adaptation among these children. Given that children in this age group are greatly influenced not only by their individual characteristics but also by environmental factors, particularly parental influence, this research focuses on examining the psychological state of parents (e.g., parental stress, depression), parental ambivalence towards mobile use, and parental intervention in mobile use. The study was conducted through surveys at two different points in time. The results indicate that parental stress affects parental depression, ambivalence towards mobile use, parental intervention, and ultimately the mobile dependence of school-aged children, which in turn impacts their school adaptation. Through this study, we were able to verify the mechanisms by which parental stress and psychological attitudes toward mobile use influence mobile dependence and school adaptation in school-aged children.

  • The predictive ability for off-flavor development and quality change of ground beef was evaluated using a microbial time temperature indicator (TTI). Quality indices such as off-flavor detection (OFD) time, color, pH, volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), aerobic mesophilic bacteria (AMB) counts, and lactic acid bacteria (LAB) counts were measured during storage at 5, 10, 15, and $25^{\circ}C$, respectively. Arrhenius activation energies (Ea) were estimated for temperature dependence. The Ea values for TTI response (changes in titratable acidity (TA)), VBN, AMB counts, LAB counts, and freshness, which is defined based on OFD time for quality indices of ground beef, were 106.22 kJ/mol, 58.98 kJ/mol, 110.35 kJ/mol, 116.65 kJ/mol, and 92.73 kJ/mol, respectively. The Ea of microbial TTI was found to be closer to those of the AMB counts, LAB counts, and freshness. Therefore, AMB counts, LAB counts, and freshness could be predicted accurately by the microbial TTI response due to their Ea similarity. The microbial TTI exhibited consistent relationships between its TA change and corresponding quality indices, such as AMB counts, LAB counts, and freshness, regardless of storage temperature. Conclusively, the results established that the developed microbial TTI can be used in intelligent packaging technology for representing some selected quality indices of ground beef.

  • In this study, we estimated the topside scale height of plasma density (Hm) using the Swarm constellation and ionosondes in Korea. The Hm above Korean Peninsula is generally around 50 km. Statistical distributions of the topside scale height exhibited a complex dependence upon local time and season. The results were in general agreement with those of Tulasi Ram et al. (2009), who used the same method to calculate the topside scale height in a mid-latitude region. On the contrary, our results did not fully coincide with those obtained by Liu et al. (2007), who used electron density profiles from Arecibo Incoherent Scatter Radar (ISR) between 1966 and 2002. The disagreement may result from the limitations in our approximation method and data coverage used for estimations, as well as the inherent dependence of Hm on Geographic LONgitude (GLON).

  • Generally, In a application program the core part for parallel processing is a loop. therefore exist data dependencies between the array index variables of a loop. The data dependence relations between statements which from variable or constant dependence distance are specially complex. Therefore extracting parallelism for those statements at compile time is very difficult. in this paper, among the proposed methods of extracting parallelism, analysis the unimodular method and non-unimodular method and grasping the merits and demerits of them. hereafter, this method will go far toward solving the effectively extracting parallelism of the loop.

  • The results of the study of ionospheric variations in the summer months of 1998-2002 at an ionospheric station of vertical sounding "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" are presented. Anomalous variations of virtual sporadic-E height (h'Es), Es blanketing frequency (fbEs), and the critical frequency of the ionospheric F2 layer (foF2) (which can be attributed to the possible earthquake precursors) are selected. The high efficiency of the selection of ionospheric earthquake precursors based on the several parameters of Es and F2 layers is shown. The empirical dependence, which reflects the connection between the lead-time of the earthquake moment, the distance to the epicenter from the observation point, and the magnitude of the earthquake are obtained. This empirical dependence is consistent with the results of the detection of earthquake precursors by measuring the physical parameters of the Earth's crust in the same region.

  • The sapphire orientation dependence of the crystallization of ZnO thin films has been studied using real-time synchrotron x-ray scattering. The amorphous ZnO thin films with a 2400-${\AA}$-thick were grown on sapphire(110) and sapphire(001) substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering at room temperature. The amorphous ZnO films were crystallization into epitaxial ZnO(002) grains both on the sapphire(110) and on the sapphire(001) substrates. The epitaxial quality, such as mosaic distribution and crystal domain size, of the ZnO grains on the sapphire(110) is high, similar to that of the ZnO grains on the sapphire(001). With increasing the annealing temperature to 600$^{\circ}C$, the mosaic distribution and the crystal domain size of ZnO(002) grains in the film normal direction was improved and decreased, respectively.
