The amount of Sea Casualty is increased by heavy sea traffic, increasing sea-borne cargoes, and superannuated vessels. This study analyzed the circumstance of ship salvage in Korean Salvage Units and management of Salvage Divers in Korea and other countries in order to make establishment of Ship Salvage Divers. This paper reputed the object, the necessity and the character of Ship Salvage Divers. For the purpose of study two parts are considered in order to analyze the environment of salvage divers(the circumstance of Sea Casulties and Ship Salvage). Under the present circumstance in Korea this development planning study may be restricted, but the effective planning to activate Korean Ship Salvage Diver is abstracted as follows; First, the political assistance of concerned government authority is needed. Second, establishment of new course, grade, certificate and licence for Salvage Diver is a Pre-requisite factor for the successful enactment. Third, establishment of Korean Ship Salvage Diving Center or School is strongly required.

This paper deals with internal and outernal factors of Maritime High School in Korea, and suggests the followings. The fist, superintendent authority of schools should be transferred to ministry of education from ministry of marine. The second, education system should be upgraded to junior college or 5 years education course. The third, the door of maritime university permission should be opened for maritime high school graduates. The fourth, training ship should be built for effective training course required form STCW 95. The fifth, if the graduates form maritime high school engage board, all of them should be exempted from military service responsibility. The sixth, the on board-training system for teachers and instructors should be programmed in order to help them keep and utilize the on board experience in actural education situation. The seventh, the school location should be placed in order to increase the efficiency of the education.

In this paper, A new tuning method for IMC-PID controller is proposed with the identification using the relay method from closed-loop transfer function. It is considered a second-order plus delay time(SOPDT) model and selected a third-order plus delay time transfer function model as a target function. The filter function is derived from the suitable target function to satisfy the design specifications. A robustness test was done to verify the robust-stability.

The drastic change of spatial structure in rural area and the recent rural development policies(related to settlement reorganization and plot rearrangement) make the rural space planning more important than ever. So this paper tries to evaluate the institutional aspects of rural spatial planning system focused on planning area. land use classification and hierachical order between existing plans. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the rural planning areas are classified into 4-tiers(e.g., Gun, Myon, District, Village). Second, the rural land use planning has 3-tiers(e.g., macro, mediate and micro zoning) from the viewpoint of land use classification system, but it doesn't have mediate-micro zoning system. Third, the spatial plans in rural area, positioned in local planning, were categorized into regional planning system and land use planning system. However there's no linkage between both sides of each hierachial planning order.

This paper introduces an approach to ontology-based framework for knowledge management in a product development domain. The participants in a product life cycle want to share the product knowledge without any heterogeneity. However, previous knowledge management systems do not have any conceptual specifications of their knowledge. We suggest the three levels of knowledge framework. First level is an axiom, which specifies the semantics of concepts and relations. Second level is a product development knowledge map. It defines the common domain knowledge which domain experts agree with. Third level is a specialized knowledge for domain, which includes three knowledge types; expert knowledge, engineering function and data-analysis-based knowledge. We propose an ontology-based knowledge framework based on the three levels of knowledge. The framework has a uniform representation; first order logic to increase integrity of the framework. We implement the framework using prolog and test example queries to show the effectiveness of the framework.

This research addresses to establish a systematic approach to design a standard Hangul code system for educational purposes in development of CAI courseware using Korean, English, and Chinese characters, which requires data exchanges and database construction. In this paper, types of Korean alphabetic code systems already in use, their representational environments and consonant/vowel order have been studied and analysed. This paper presents the requirements that the hangul code system for educational purpose needs to obtain. First, it should be able to represent all contemporary as well as ancient Korean alphabets. Second, character elements should be separable. Third, consonant/vowel order should be determined to easily retrieve and exchange data. Lastly, the code should maintain compatibility with other national codes and provide uniqueness of user-defined character codes.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between communication patterns and marital satisfaction of elderly men and women. The participants of this study were 206 elderly (60 years and older), and they were all recruited in Seoul. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, the communication patterns of elderly men and women were affected significantly by background variables, self-esteem, and personality style. Second, marital satisfaction was affected significantly by background variables, self-esteem, and personality style. Self-esteem was the major factor that had significant impact on the marital satisfaction for all respondents. Third, there was a gender difference in the impact of background variables, self-esteem, and communication pattern on marital satisfaction. For elderly men, the factors affecting marital satisfaction were, in decreasing order, constructive communication, destructive communication, self-esteem, and economic condition, whereas for elderly women, the factors were, in decreasing order, constructive communication, self-esteem and destructive communication.

Sustainable urbanism and architectural environment are cultural resource and it can be enhanced by long term established spatial orders. In order to keep the order, rehabilitation, reuse, remodeling of urban space should be managed by various participations which concerned with the city and urban architecture. That can be say systematic approach for the sustainable environment.

In order to develope transfer alignment algorithm which achieves accurate initial alignment of slave strapdown inertial navigation system(SDINS) of a missle using master SDINS of mobile launchers third-order suboptimal filter is constructed to estimate the transformation matrix between two SDINS coordinates. In Kalman Filter formulation, the measurement equation uses that of accelerometer when stationary, and is replaced by that of gyroscope when elevating the missle. This switching method is applied to increase the degree of observability and to remove the error generated by lever arm effect. Simulation results show that the azimuth transfer error is about 0.3 mrad, and confirm that this scheme has a potential for real application.

First, the coupling faults of semiconductor memory are classified in detail. The chained coupling fault is introduced and defined, which results from sequential influencing of the coupling effects among memory cells, and its mapping relation is described. The linked coupling fault and its order are defined. Second, the deterministic “Algorithm GA” is proposed, which detects stuack-at faults, transition faults, address decoder faults, unlinked 2-coupling faults, and unlinked chained coupling faults. The time complexity and the fault coverage are improved in this algorithm. Third, it is proved that the march test of an address sequence can detect 97.796% of the linked 2-coupling faults with order 2. The deterministic “Algorithm NA” proposed can detect to the limit. The time complexity and the fault coverage are improved in this algorithm.
