There were a lot of attempts in the army to use various domestic thematic maps, but attribute data types of military topographic analysis maps use the FACC of DIGEST, so there is a limit in employing domestic thematic maps with different types of attribute codes. Therefore, this study analyzed the FACC as a data attribute based on the MIL-PRF-89040 of the US Army. Then, VITD was created by changing the attribute codes of domestic thematic maps produced in Korea to fit the FACC. Lastly, it was applied to the analysis of cross-country movement for maneuver defined in FM 5-33 in order to verify if it is applicable in practice. As a result, it was found that the suggested method was helpful in securing the cross-country movement for maneuver. This means that this method can be used not only in producing military topographic analysis maps using domestic thematic maps but in constructing emergency transport routes roads to transport by-products of forest in future.

In this paper, We propose a document thematic words extraction by using principal component analysis(PCA) which is one of the multivariate statistical methods. The proposed PCA model understands the flow of words in the document by using an eigenvalue and an eigenvector, and extracts thematic words. The proposed model is estimated by applying to document summarization. Experimental results using newspaper articles show that the proposed model is superior to the model using either word frequency or information retrieval thesaurus. We expect that the Proposed model can be applied to information retrieval , information extraction and document summarization.

We design level 1 traffic thematic map for common data structure. Level 1 means the road that can passing cars. If public office and private company use this form, they can save amount of money from overlapping update. And widely use of traffic analysis, navigation and traffic information system. For design common data structure we compared several data structure(traffic thematic map, ITS standard node/link, Car navigation map), and generalization these characteristic data. After generalization we considered about application parts. It can use of public part(traffic analysis, road management, accident management) and private part(car navigation, map product, marketing by variable analysis) etc.

In this paper, we propose a automatic document summarization method based on Principal Component Analysis(PCA) which is one of the multivariate statistical methods. Using the Sunflower movement as a case study, this article seeks to articulate a theoretical framework to evaluate online "free spaces" as tools for political mobilization. To this end, this article conducts a thematic and content analysis of 151 posts on the official Facebook page of the Sunflower movement. Key results uncover four thematic functions among posts - expressive, informative, informative-support, and promotional - that overlap, in which the expressive theme prevails, and two thematic topics discussed by posts - damages by protesters and their ideology of freedom. I conclude that: (1) combining the logistic and thematic dimensions of posts enables a specific understanding of an online free space's political viability and anticipates the campaigns it will connect itself to; (2) the networked nature of the Sunflower movement page prompts the reconceptualization of (i) online free spaces as nodes through which various political campaigns and struggles are thematically connected by a political ideology; (ii) inactivity as a strategy where protest capital and followers accumulate to prepare and empower future mobilizations.

This paper presents an efficient construction method of determination rules of thematic roles from syntactic relations in Korean language processing. This process is one of the main core of semantic analysis and an important issue to be solved in natural language processing. It is problematic to describe rules for determining thematic roles by only using general linguistic knowledge and experience, since the final result may be different according to the subjective views of researchers, and it is impossible to construct rules to cover all cases. However, our method is objective and efficient by considering large corpora, which contain practical osages of Korean language, and case frames in the Sejong Electronic Lexicon of Korean, which is being developed by dozens of Korean linguistic researchers. To determine thematic roles more correctly, our system uses syntactic relations, semantic classes, morpheme information, position of double subject. Especially by using semantic classes, we can increase the applicability of the rules.

This study aimed to discover the affective ability of students by applying a thematic project model concerning the marine field unit of science for third grade middle school students from among diverse methods of realizing STEAM education. Also, based on this, STEAM education is a new type of learning including the process of exploring by oneself, presenting, discussing and mutually evaluating by becoming an independent person in learning As the results of the study are as follows: First, the STEAM class applied with a thematic project model was discovered to promote a learning attitude toward science by learners. Second, the STEAM class applied with a thematic project model was shown to be effective in improving the self-directed learning characteristics of learners. Third, STEAM education applied with a thematic project model was found to promote learners' motivation for learning science. This may be an effective method for learners who have felt difficulty in the science curriculum or have not been interested in the curriculum by triggering voluntary motivation.

The Government confirmed the action planning of digital mapping project for major thematic maps based on ‘Revised Plan for The Development of the National Geographic Information System’(NGIS). Mapping for major thematic maps was begun in 1998 when digital mapping project for topographic maps finished due to the delay of the action planning, and will selectively have produced the essential digital thematic maps according to the frequency of usage. The models of topographic-cadastral maps and administrative boundary maps around Suwon were produced in accordance with the presented draft. We presented specification for production of the most appropriate topographic-cadastral maps and administrative boundary maps through the analysis of the process of production, discussion and error check, and correction of the produced topographic-cadastral maps and administrative boundary maps. And we could make it easier to develop digital mapping project of topographic-cadastral maps and administrative boundary maps effectively by presenting the strategy for data input and maintenance, the cost model for carrying out the digital thematic map production, digital topographic maps, and the supplement of data model and data format. Topographic-cadastral maps has a wide range of usage but a lot of difficulties in the process of production and map update under use. So it seems that the study on users, university, private sector and municipal self-government must follow for promoting the use of topographic-cadastral maps.
